Gabriel Argos & Union Jack and Duane van Staden & Jurie Reichel battled to a double countout at 8:13
**nothing is settled between the current Great Plains Tag champs and the former South African Tag Champs.

Bout #2
Stan Baker & Norman Smiley defeated Steve Riley & Raymond Bingham by pinfall when Baker pinned Bingham after a heart punch at 7:10
**no Madusa on site tonite due to a scheduling conflict. This just added to the woes of Riley and Bingham as their little cabal seems to be falling apart. They argued during the bout and it cost them the win.

Bout #3
Balls Mahoney & Kurrgan defeated Road Warrior Hawk & Tatanka by pinfall when Kurrgan pinned Tatanka after a tombstone piledriver at 6:47
**surprising tag team to face Giant Balls and Tatanka proved to be the weak link.

Bout #4
Stan Lane & Jerry Orth defeated Ricky Rice & Derrick Dukes by pinfall when Lane pinned Dukes after a superkick at 9:01
**After a rocky start as a throw together tag team Lane and Orth were having a hard time against the Top Guns, a legendary RCW tag team. But Lane suddenly took over the bout, quickly nailed his finisher and showed why he is one of the greatest to ever wrestle in River City.

Bryan Caruthers & Mike Enos defeated Al Collins & Joe Blum by pinfall when Caruthers pinned Blum after a spinebuster slam at 10:11

**not sure the titles were in doubt but Collins and Blum were doing well when Jerry Orth came out. No one was happy to see him but everyone was surprised when Orth interfered by tripping up Blum, causing the loss.

**the crowd's applause for the surprise entrance of Vendetta was off the charts. Even his win didn't get as big of a pop as just his return. Lash LeRoux had a great showing going the longest of anyone other than Vendetta. Bingham and Riley worked well together to almost get the win but Boss Strickland broke away from the 3 on 1 to try and take out Bingham which turned out to be the turning point of the bout. So this means that Vendetta gets a shot at Nick Mercury next week for the Heavyweight title!

**fast paced chain wrestling. Doring came off the top with a diving leg drop bulldog, but Bingham moved out of the way and hit his finisher for the win.

Nick Mercury and Vendetta battled to a no-contest at 12:41
[Nick Mercury retained the RCW Heavyweight Title]
**Mercury spent most of the bout avoiding the former champ, complaining to the ref, and cheating. Then came the ref bump. Mercury used it to produce a pair of brass knuckles. He nailed Vendetta from behind to the back of the head knocking him out. Mercury was busy reviving the ref when Stan Lane suddenly rushed the ring, attacking Mercury from behind and taking away the brass knux. The ref woke up, and called the match a no-contest. But when Vendetta woke up all he saw was Lane with the brass knux, as we

Breaking Kayfabe;
...and to black indeed. In fact this would be the last show of the year. Embroiled over financial and television contract issues Jack Larkin shut the fed down temporarily. While the year end awards would be announced on the website, for the first time ever RCW would not have a year end Anniversary Spectacular. However, the fed would return in January after Larkin sorted out the finances and bought out Great Plains Wrestling which was being promoted by Jesse Barr in Montana, Wyoming, and Idaho (with the occasional show in Alberta, Saskatchewan, South Dakota, and Nebraska - those areas also being considered part of RCW territory). So the fed will be back in January 2003.
