Dark Match Before RAGE
Opening Bout Judas Young defeated Green Dragon by pinfall after the punk rock drop at 8:55
RCW RAGE - Hour #1
Bout #2 Greg Pawluk & Johnny Devine defeated Codfather Billy Flynn & Plum Loco by pinfall when Devine pinned Flynn after a hot shot at 4:04 **squash match with the Young Guns taking care of two new jobbers, one a Newfoundland fisher complete with yellow hat, and the other a masked Luchadore whose exposed skin was almost as white as an Albino. After the bout Devine was mad and continued to attack his opponents, and had to be pulled off by Pawluk. Then Devine got the mic and ranted how they were being reduced to jobber status while the Scots are just given a title shot. Pawluk tried to calm him down but he was still ranting when we went to commercial break.
Bout #3 Al Collins & Joe Blum defeated Vincent Regliatti & Eric Scott by pinfall when Collins pinned Scott after a running legdrop at 6:29 **more tag turmoil. Collins and Blum get back to the pay window and Regliatti was upset at Scott for losing.
Bout #4 Danny Doring (/w Electra) & Blue Meanie (/w Jasmin St. Claire) defeated Kid Kash (/w Dawn Marie) & Dave Mysterio by pinfall when Blue Meanie pinned Mysterio after a snap DDT at 6:10 **Mysterio held his own but of course ended up being the weak link. Kash was fighting Doring outside of the ring with all 3 ladies involved. But St. Claire was also able to reach back and trip up Mysterio. Meanie hit a kneedrop to the back of the head, then a running delayed legdrop, the snap DDT and got the pin. Kash had taken care of Doring outside the ring but Electra was able to hold back Kash long enough.
Bout #5 April Hunter defeated Dawn Marie by pinfall after a German suplex at 5:53 **Dawn Marie may fight dirty and has more experience, but Hunter is stronger and already a better wrestler.
RCW RAGE - Hour #2
Bout #6 #1 Contender Television Title Big Vito defeated Menele by pinfall after a superplex at 6:50 **it started as a 4-man elimination match, then a 3-man, and now this week the final two have come back in a #1 contenders bout. Menele controlled most of the bout but made a mistake taking too much time going to the top rope and Vito made him pay with a loss.
Bout #7 RCW Tag Team Title Match Bryan Caruthers & Mike Enos and Aidan Gilchrist & Gavin Slater battled to a no-contest at 4:47 [Bryan Caruthers & Mike Enos retained the RCW Tag Team Titles] **match was just getting some traction when the Great Canadians came down to ringside to "scout", and then the Young Guns came out, and then Doring and Meanie, all 3 teams acting as if they will be the #1 contenders. Soon enough it degenerated into a brawl outside the ring which distracted the wrestlers outside the ring. Scott and Doring were fighting on the apron so Enos just hauled them into the ring, and the bout was thrown out, but the 5 team brawl which was now joined by Collins and Blum to make it a 6 team brawl continued into the commercial break.
Special Announcement Commissioner Jim Brunzell says that this was going to be at the end of the show but thought it best to reveal it now. The tag team scene has never been stronger in RCW. As a result owner Jack Larkin has decided to dust off and have the second ever Frank Larkin Cup (named after his Father, a longtime promoter out of Toronto). There will be 8 teams from RCW, and 8 teams brought from outside. That event will happen on August 31st, with the winner getting a title shot the following week at the RCW Tag Team Titles. That does not mean that the tag titles will not be defended before then, but it does mean that any team that repeats tonight's performance and gets in the way of a clean match will lose their spot in the tournament. More details to come next week!
Main Event Fatal Four Way #1 Contender Match for the RCW Heavyweight Title Steve Riley defeated Stan Baker and Norman Smiley and Raymond Bingham by pinfall when he pinned Stan Baker after a tombstone piledriver at 9:15 **Heavyweight champion Nick Mercury came down to the announce table and he was accompanied by Madusa, who acts as his manager, as well as the same for Riley and Bingham. She stood nearby Mercury as opposed to being at ringside as a second to Riley or Bingham. All four men were legal and first fall inside the ring takes the bout. Riley and Bingham avoided each other at the start but did not work together, and Riley was the first to break that detente by taking Bingham down with a belly to back suplex. All four men fought a hard bout but conservative. Whenever the bout went outside the ring they all seemed to want to get back inside so they did not miss a fall. Bingham nailed Baker with a Northern lights suplex and went for the pin but Riley broke it up. Smiley in the meantime had gone to the top and came off with a bodyblock on Riley, 1, 2, kickout. Baker, Bingham, and Riley fought it out while Smiley went to the top again. Madusa though came over and knocked Smiley down causing him to crotch himself on the top. Mercury did not look pleased at her interference. Inside the ring Baker tossed Bingham over the top rope, and then was distracted by seeing Smiley on the top rope. Riley took him down with a chop block to the knee, and then nailed a tombstone piledriver, cover 1, 2, kickout! Bingham was climbing back into the ring but Riley hip checked him back out of the ring, and gave Smiley a boot to the head while he was going by. Baker played possum, and went for a heart punch, but Riley blocked it, took him down with a lariat, nailed another tombstone piledriver, pin, 1, 2, 3!! Oh boy, this sets up cohorts Nick Mercury and Steve Riley to face off against each other for the Heavyweight title. It was not clear how this title shot lines up against Big Vito's title shot at Steve Riley's TV title. Mercury and Bingham do not look pleased with Madusa as she is in the ring raising Riley's hand.

Dark Matches Before RAGE
Opening Bout: April Hunter defeated Dawn Marie by pinfall after a German suplex at 5:02
Bout #2: Handi-Cap Match Madusa defeated Electra & Jasmin St. Claire by pinfall when she pinned Electra after a superkick at 6:13
RCW RAGE - Hour #1
Bout #3 Kid Kash (/w Dawn Marie) defeated Danny Doring (/w Electra) by pinfall after a double underhook piledriver at 6:56 **these two really lit it up to an appreciative crowd. For the most part the ladies stayed out of it
Bout #4 Greg Pawluk defeated Joe Blum by submission to the sharpshooter at 6:11 **decent bout. The theme tonight is matches splitting up tag teams into singles matches.
Bout #5 Eric Scott defeated Johnny Devine by disqualification for use of a foreign object (steel chair) at 5:31 **Johnny Devine's lack of sportsmanship is a stark contrast to his partner Greg Pawluk.
Bout #6 Vincent Regliatti defeated Al Collins by submission to the figure-four at 7:15 **Collins used his size advantage to control much of the bout but there is a reason that Regliatti is a former RCW Heavyweight champion; he has skills.
RCW RAGE - Hour #2
2nd Larkin Cup Tag Team Tournament Announcement Commissioner Jim Brunzell comes down to announce some teams for the August 31st - 16 team Battle Royale. From RCW; Al Collins & Joe Blum Great Canadians: Vincent Regliatti & Eric Scott Young Guns: Greg Pawluk & Johnny Devine Danny Doring & Blue Meanie Aidan Gilchrist & Gavin Slater and maybe a surprise, the tag team champions Bryan Caruthers & Mike Enos. That still leaves 2 spots open for RCW teams. There will be two teams coming over from SAWF (South African Wrestling Federation) Duane Van Staden South Africa (6'0 209lbs.) & Jurie Reichel South Africa (6'1 195lbs.) Jayson Moorhouse England (6'3 244lbs.) & MetalHead USA (5'11 174lbs.)
Bout #7 Norman Smiley defeated Raymond Bingham (/w Madusa) by disqualification for outside interference at 7:19 **Smiley had the bout well in hand when Madusa jumped on the apron and interfered to cause the DQ.
Bout #8 RCW Tag Team Title Match Bryan Caruthers & Mike Enos defeated Aidan Gilchrist & Gavin Slater by pinfall when Enos pinned Slater after a spiked piledriver at 10:52 [Bryan Caruthers & Mike Enos retained the RCW Tag Team Titles] **even match but the champs are just too goo and too experienced. Tainted victory but decisive enough.
Main Event RCW Television Title Match Steve Riley (/w Madusa) defeated Big Vito by submission to the STF at 6:56 [Steve Riley retained the RCW Television Title] **Vito gave it everything he could, Madusa stayed out of it, but in the end Riley is a monster of a man with severe determination to win. And next week he will get his shot at the big title held by Nick Mercury. As the show came to an end Mercury came out and stood by Madusa, and had a bit of a staredown with his friend and ally Riley.

Special Monday Night Edition of Rage
Dark Matches Before RAGE
Opening Bout Green Dragon defeated Blackhammer by pinfall after a Dragon Suplex at 8:02
Bout #2 Dawn Marie defeated Electra by pinfall after a fireman's carry slam at 4:46
RCW RAGE - Hour #1
Bout #3 Big Vito defeated Mike Enos by submission to the Kimura lock at 6:11 **BV gets back on the win track over half of the tag champs. Bit of opposite day with the tag champs in singles action, and the other tag teams mixed up in tag action.
Bout #4 Vincent Regliatti & Greg Pawluk defeated Al Collins & Kid Kash (/w Dawn Marie) by pinfall when Pawluk pinned Collins after a top rope splash at 6:49 **Regs and Pawluk really clicked well as a team, both are technically sound. They even really got along, high fiving after the victory, before leaving apart.
Bout #5 Joe Blum & Aidan Gilchrist defeated Eric Scott & Danny Doring (/w Electra) by pinfall when Blum pinned Doring after the gorilla press slam into a gutbuster at 5:22 **Scott and Doring did not co-exist well and came to blows causing Doring to take the loss while Scott
Bout #6 Gavin Slater & Dave Mysterio defeated Johnny Devine & Blue Meanie (/w Jasmin St. Claire) by disqualification at 7:00 **Slater and Mysterio were on the verge of victory, so Devine and Meanie decided to take the loss the easy way and inflict some punishment.
RCW RAGE - Hour #2
Update for the 2nd Frank Larkin Tag Team Cup Tournament. New addition team, from RCW, Kid Kash & Dave Mysterio. So that is 7 out of 8 RCW spots with one more left to be assigned. Last week 2 teams were announced from SAWF, leaving 6 more spots for teams outside RCW. From a neighbouring fed, Great Plains Wrestling, we will have two teams coming in; Union Jack (England) & Gabriel Argos (Cyprus) Shane Madison (Canada) & Will Damon (Canada) Madison and Damon of course were recently in RCW as part of the Players Club. Argos and Jack will be new.
Bout #7 Bryan Caruthers defeated Stan Baker by pinfall after a spinebuster at 6:57 **bit of an upset here as half of the tag champs blocked a heart punch finisher, nailed a Russian legsweep, a slingshot into the corner, and then his finisher to beat one of the elite singles wrestlers here in RCW.
Bout #8 Texas Tornado Norman Smiley & April Hunter defeated Raymond Bingham & Madusa by pinfall when Hunter pinned Madusa after a German suplex at 5:24 **interesting match. The men were only allowed to attack the men, the women the women, but all four were legal. Two referees were assigned to the bout, one to watch the males, one the women. There was some accidental interaction that caused warnings. The finish came when Bingham was posed on the top rope to come off on Smiley. Hunter reversed a whip to the ropes, and changed it to send Madusa into the buckle, causing Bingham to crash onto her. Hunter pulled Madusa up and hit the finisher.
Main Event RCW Heavyweight Title Match Nick Mercury and Steve Riley battled to a no-contest at 5:56 [Nick Mercury retained the RCW Heavyweight Title] **Madusa, who seconds both men came down to the ring late, after introductions, because of her previous match loss, and took a seat at the announce table in a foul mood. Riley controlled early and took the bout to the mat. Mercury took a break and tried to confer with Madusa but she tried to stay neutral, even though Riley didn't think she was and warned her to stay out of it. Mercury took the bout over with speed, some standing switches, takedowns, and a belly to back. Riley though fought back with his power, tempers flared and the two took to fisticuffs. Riley won that and nailed a spear. He went for the STF but Mercury got a foot on the ropes for the break. Electra and Jasmin St. Claire came out and got into it with Madusa for some reason. Just when it looked like Madusa was taking care of business Dawn Marie also came out to make it 3 on 1. Nick Mercury left the ring to try and stop it, and was soon joined by Riley. But the ref kept counting so Riley attacked Mercury from behind and took the bout back inside. Mercury though immediately was able to leave the ring again and try and help Madusa. This brought out the ECW men, Danny Doring, Blue Meanie, and Kid Kash. Mercury was joined by Riley in trying to fend them off, and were joined by Raymond Bingham to make it 3 on 3 (the ladies were still 3 on 1, and Madusa was getting her butt kicked). Then Big Vito came out to make it 4 on 3 for the former ECW (Barbwire City) gang, as we...

Dark Matches Before RAGE
Opening Bout Handi-Cap Match April Hunter defeated Dawn Marie & Electra by pinfall when she pinned Electra after a superplex at 5:53 **Not a Picasso, but more like soft porn.
Bout #2 Three Way Dance Sugarcrisps Baker defeated Judas Young and Blackhamer by pinfall when he pinned Blackhammer after a second rope splash at 5:05 **Nothing to see here. Move on.
RCW RAGE - Hour #1
Bout #3 Al Collins & Joe Blum defeated Aidan Gilchrist & Gavin Slater by pinfall when Collins pinned Slater after a running legdrop at 7:03 **warm up bout for the big 2nd Frank Larkin Cup Tag Team event coming in two weeks.
Bout #4 Greg Pawluk & Johnny Devine defeated Vincent Regliatti & Eric Scott by submission when Pawluk submitted Scott to the sharpshooter at 9:11 **another warm-up bout. Interestingly enough there seems to be some mutual respect being shown between Regliatti and Pawluk after their previous teaming. Tonight Regs decided not to break up the sharpshooter, something that did not go over well with his tag partner.
Bout #5 Non-Title Match Stan Baker & Norman Smiley defeated Bryan Caruthers & Mike Enos when Baker pinned Caruthers after a heart punch at 5:26 **upset as the tag champs get beaten by this throw together team (although they were a pair of accomplished singles wrestlers). However, the big news was that Jerry Orth made a surprise appearance coming down to ringside. The former Spinebuster tag champion with Caruthers has not been seen in RCW since they had to forfeit the tag titles because of his injury. The surprise appearance was the distraction that caused the champs the non-title loss.
RCW RAGE - Hour #2
Commissioner Jim Brunzell gives an update on the entrants for the 2nd Frank Larkin Cup. Previously confirmed from RCW; Al Collins & Joe Blum Great Canadians: Vincent Regliatti & Eric Scott Young Guns: Greg Pawluk & Johnny Devine Danny Doring & Blue Meanie Aidan Gilchrist & Gavin Slater Bryan Caruthers & Mike Enos Kid Kash & Dave Mysterio and now based on that victory earlier tonight, the 8th team will be Stan Baker & Norman Smiley
From outside of RCW; Great Plains Wrestling: Union Jack (England) & Gabriel Argos (Cyprus) Great Plains Wrestling; Shane Madison (Canada) & Will Damon (Canada) South African Wrestling Federation; Duane Van Staden (South Africa) & Jurie Reichel (South Africa) South African Wrestling Federation; Jayson Moorhouse (England) & MetalHead (USA) and tonight's announcement is two teams being brought up from NWA SouthWest, and they will be seconded by legendary PWA/WWA figure, Carl Todd. The Blackbird Posse : Larry Green and Chris Young Texas Trailer Trash: Harley Johnson and Hugh Rogue
That will leave two more spots to fill. The final spot will be filled next week. But tonight in addition marks the return of former RCW Tag Team Champion, Jerry Orth!! Orth is interviewed by Brunzell, says his injury is healed, he has been wrestling some shows in Ohio and Pennsylvania and will be entering the Larkin Cup, with a special partner. This brings out Bryan Caruthers, his former tag partner. Caruthers wants to know who Orth's partner will be, but he refuses to answer. Caruthers says he owes him an answer because of their friendship. This sets off Orth who says Caruthers never called him after the injury. Caruthers says he and Enos won the titles and he thought Orth had retired. What was he supposed to do? Orth said, maybe try being a friend. The two came close to fisticuffs but RCW agents came into the ring to separate the two men.
Bout #6 Menele defeated Green Dragon by pinfall after an Exploder suplex at 6:22 **decent showing for the Green Dragon Jason Pharo as he was able to showcase some of his martial arts background. But Menele is an animal and would not be denied.
Pre-Match: Originally we were to have a Six-man tag match between "team Madusa" (Nick Mercury, Steve Riley, and Raymond Bingham) and "team Hardcore" Danny Doring, Blue Meanie, and Big Vito. However, Madusa challenged the "Hardcore Hoes" Electra, Dawn Marie, and Jasmin St. Claire to put up and get in the ring too. Than Kid Kash came out with Dawn Marie and said he was going to be in it too than to protect his girl Dawn Marie. This than brought out Stan Baker who said he was sick of the Hardcore team thinking they were all that and a bag of chips, and he was there to defend River City Wrestling even if he didn't like his new teammates (and he didn't seem to offer them a choice). Finally, this brought out Dave Mysterio, who as Kid Kash's partner for the Larkin Cup was going to fight by his side tonight too, even though he disagreed with his teammates, because he wanted to assure nothing happened to his tag partner. Commissioner Jim Brunzell came down to the ring with a scoresheet, trying to keep it straight. Finally he declared that it would be a team battle royal, Team Madusa vs Team Hardcore, with the women legal as well. Eliminations would be by over the top or a 10 count outside the ring (this is now a common RCW stipulation). But to make it more interesting, Brunzell said that since Madusa was so hot for this bout to happen, that both the Heavyweight Championship and the Television Title would be on the line. Whoever eliminated those men, Nick Mercury and/or Steve Riley would become the new champion; and of course if that person was then eliminated the title would change hands, and so on. Team Madusa was livid but Brunzell just nodded and laughed. We had 3 refs come out, stationed outside the ring to watch for eliminations and 10 counts, and Brunzell took up position at the 4th side of the ring.
Main Event Team Battle Royal Heavyweight & TV titles on the Line Mercury/Riley/Bingham/Madusa/Baker v Doring/Meanie/Vito/Kash/Mysterio/Electra/Dawn Marie/Jasmin St. Claire [Raymond Bingham eliminated by Kash/Mysterio at 2:34] **big elimination because the numbers game was already tilted in Team Hardcore's favour, and this just made it more one-sided. [Blue Meanie eliminated by Stan Baker at 4:07] **another big elimination to somewhat even the odds. [Electra eliminated by Madusa at 4:47] [Jasmin St. Claire eliminated by Madusa at 5:03] [Madusa eliminated by Vito at 5:14] **a spat of women eliminated, first two by Madusa, but then Vito got a hold of her to save Dawn Marie and tossed Madusa over the top rope. [Dave Mysterio eliminated by Mercury/Riley at 6:44] [Kid Kash eliminated by Mercury/Riley at 7:15] [Dawn Marie eliminated herself at 7:36] **the clearing out of the tag team made more space in the ring and evened the odds for Team Madusa. Dawn Marie was cornered by Baker and decided just to eliminate herself by leaving the ring and being counted out [Stan Baker eliminated by Vito at 9:01] **coming home now we had Mercury/Riley (who had just faced each other last week in a title vs title belt) against Doring/Vito. The hardcore duo fought well but they were overmatched and after about 3 minutes of spirited Texas tornado style action, they were isolated one on one and eliminated one after the other.
[Danny Doring eliminated by Mercury at 11:59] [Nick Mercury & Steve Riley survived at 11:59] [Nick Mercury retained the RCW Heavyweight Title] [Steve Riley retained the RCW Television Title]
Post-Match: As he raised his arms in the air, Nick Mercury was thrown over the top rope from behind by Steve Riley. Madusa had returned to ringside and looked shocked by what had transpired. Riley celebrated as if it was the last elimination in a battle royal, and he seemed to think he had won the Heavyweight belt. He was celebrating in the ring with the belt while Mercury tried to convince him to give the belt back. Jim Brunzell finally came into the ring and announced that after Danny Doring was eliminated that the match was officially over, and that Nick Mercury and Steve Riley had won it as the survivors for team Madusa. Therefore the bout was over and the elimination of Nick Mercury was not part of the bout. Brunzell told Riley he would have to return the bout to Mercury. The big man was upset and tossed the belt at the feet of Mercury and left the ring.

Dark Matches Before RAGE
Opening Bout Johnny Devine defeated Eric Scott by pinfall after the hot shot at 8:21
Bout #2 Menele defeated Green Dragon by pinfall after an Exploder suplex at 5:05
RCW RAGE - Hour #1
Bout #3 Aidan Gilchrist & Gavin Slater defeated Codbuster Billy Flynn & Plum Loco by pinfall when Gilchrist pinned Flynn after a suspended DDT at 4:26 **Flynn and Loco seemed unjustifiably upset that they were left out of the Larkin Cup. The Scots put them in their place.
Bout #4 Dave Mysterio defeated Raymond Bingham by pinfall after a standing moonsault at 6:07 **Bingham was in control of the bout but Dawn Marie and Kid Kash came down (Kash and Mysterio are partners at the Larkin Cup). DM distracted the ref with Bingham posed on the top rope and Kash tossed him off to the mat. Mysterio hit the finisher for the tainted upset.
Bout #5 Greg Pawluk and Vincent Regliatti battled to a no-contest at 5:53 **was shaping up as a mat classic with two great workers. However, Eric Scott came out to ringside to watch and back his partner Regliatti, which drew out Devine to back Pawluk. Inside they were fine, but outside the two began to brawl and it spilled into the ring causing the bout to be thrown out. The two tag teams duked it out.
Bout #6 Norman Smiley defeated Kid Kash (/w Dawn Marie) by submission to the crossface chickenwing at 7:20 **another very promising bout that did not end cleanly. In retaliation for earlier tonight Raymond Bingham came down to the ring and accosted Dawn Marie, providing a distraction which reluctantly Norman Smiley used to win the bout.
RCW RAGE - Hour #2
Bout #7 Big Vito defeated Stan Baker by disqualification to a Kimura lock at 6:38 **hard fought, could have gone either way. Vito blocked the heart punch and put on his finisher.
Bout #8 Jerry Orth defeated Mike Enos by pinfall after a top rope kneedrop at 5:55 **Orth returns and gets to the pay window. Bryan Caruthers came down to the announce table to add his 2 cents about his former partner but did not interfere. Jerry Orth refused to announce who his tag partner would be for the Frank Larkin Cup but did say it was a former RCW Heavyweight Champion. Some thought it might be Wayne Bloom (Enos' former partner), but Bloom has been retired for a couple years so was not an option.
Commissioner Jim Brunzell gives an update on the entrants for the 2nd Frank Larkin Cup. Previously confirmed from RCW; Al Collins & Joe Blum Great Canadians: Vincent Regliatti & Eric Scott Young Guns: Greg Pawluk & Johnny Devine Danny Doring & Blue Meanie Aidan Gilchrist & Gavin Slater Bryan Caruthers & Mike Enos Kid Kash & Dave Mysterio and Stan Baker & Norman Smiley
From outside of RCW; Great Plains Wrestling: Union Jack (England) & Gabriel Argos (Cyprus) Great Plains Wrestling; Shane Madison (Canada) & Will Damon (Canada) South African Wrestling Federation; Duane Van Staden (South Africa) & Jurie Reichel (South Africa) South African Wrestling Federation; Jayson Moorhouse (England) & MetalHead (USA) NWA SouthWest: The Blackbird Posse : Larry Green and Chris Young (/w Carl Todd) NWA SouthWest: Texas Trailer Trash: Harley Johnson and Hugh Rogue (/w Carl Todd) Jerry Orth & mystery partner (former RCW Heavyweight Champion)
And the final team will also be a mystery team, and are former RCW Tag Team Champions!
Main Event Cage Match: Texas Tornado Style Nick Mercury & Steve Riley defeated Danny Doring & Blue Meanie by pinfall when Mercury pinned Doring after a diving elbowdrop at 9:37 **While Riley and Mercury have had their differences as of late, they were mostly able to put that aside tonight against two of the Hardcore Crew. The former ECW guys had thier moments, including having Kid Kash, Dave Mysterio, and Big Vito come out to cage side. However, the steel kept them out, and the RCW Heavyweight and TV champions were just too much for their opponents when they were on the same page. In the end Riley had Meanie hooked up in the STF but before he could get the submission Mercury came off the top rope on Doring and picked up the win. Riley didn't seem pleased but he and Mercury seemed okay at the end. It was announced though that these two would once again face off next week in a return bout for Mercury's Heavyweight title.

River City Wrestling #939 August 31, 2002 Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada
2nd Frank & Lazarus Larkin Tag Team Cup
The first Larkin Cup was contested back on April 25, 1999. The final saw Gary Goodridge & Derek Graves defeat Steve Corino & Darren Dalton.
RCW RAGE - Hour #1
Bout #1 - Round of 16 Vincent Regliatti & Eric Scott battled Johnny Devine & Greg Pawluk to a double countout when Scott and Devine were counted at 7:00 [about 2 minutes shown] **not a great start to the show, but Regs and Pawluk did not look happy with their tag partners
Bout #2 - Round of 16 Bryan Caruthers & Mike Enos defeated Jerry Orth & Stan Lane by pinfall when Enos pinned Orth after a spiked piledriver at 9:12 [about 3 minutes shown] **the mystery partner for Orth was RCW legend Stan Lane. The problem was that Orth and Lane had no chemistry. Caruthers paused, just for a second, before delivering the dangerous double team move on his former parter for the victory.
Bout #3 - Round of 16 Union Jack & Gabriel Argos defeated Blackbird Posse: Larry Green & Chris Young (/w Carl Todd) by pinfall when Jack pinned Green after a Samoan backdrop at 8:05 [about 3 minutes shown] **the team from Great Plains defeated the team from SouthWest. Legendary booker/promoter Carl Todd was not overly involved in the bout, giving advice to his men, but not interfering. UJ (who is under a mask) and Argos are both technically very sound wrestlers, who prefer to work a more methodical pace. Despite that the fans were solidly behind them.
Bout #4 - Round of 16 Al Collins & Joe Blum defeated Danny Doring (/w Electra) and The Blue Meanie (/w Jasmin St. Claire) by pinfall when Blum pinned Doring after botched interference (St. Claire) at 9:47 [about 2 minutes shown] **St. Claire blindly tripped up Blum, but Doring had him set up for a flying backelbow. However, since he hit the mat, Doring flew through the air and knocked himself silly on the top strand, allowing Blum to roll him up for the win.
Bout #5 - Round of 16 Giant Balls: Balls Mahoney & Kurrgan defeated Players Club: Shane Madison & Will Damon by pinfall when Kurrgan pinned Damon after a chokeslam at 6:34 [about 2 minutes shown] **the mystery team that was promoted as former tag champs grew a big ovation from the crowd, and they had a successful return against their cocky opponents.
Bout #6 - Round of 16 Texas Trailer Trash: Harley Johnson & Hugh Rogue (/w Carl Todd) defeated Kid Kash (/w Dawn Marie) & Dave Mysterio by disqualification for outside interference (Dawn Marie) at 7:50 [about 3 minutes shown] **DM was frustrated because Carl Todd had earlier tripped up Kash, but when she tried to turn the tables it was seen by the ref who called for the DQ. Dawn Marie attacked Carl Todd after the bout in anger, and nailed him with a powerbomb outside the ring.
Bout #7 - Round of 16 Stan Baker & Norman Smiley defeated Jayson Moorhouse & MetalHead by submission when Smiley submitted MetalHead to the crossface chickenwing at 8:22 [about 3 minutes shown] **the first team from South Africa did not fare well against the dynamic team from RCW.
Bout #8 - Round of 16 Duane van Staden & Jurie Reichel defeated Aidan Gilchrist & Gavin Slater by pinfall when Reichel pinned Gilchrist after a sitout powerbomb at 9:45 [about 3 minutes shown] **the second South African team fared better taking care of the Scots. Staden and Reichel have a nice combo of technical skills with middle weight size, and love to cheat.
**Bryan Caruthers & Mike Enos the RCW Tag Champions get a 2nd round bye because of the DCO in bout #1. As if the tag champs needed an extra advantage.**
Bout #9 - Quarterfinal Al Collins & Joe Blum defeated Union Jack & Gabriel Argos by pinfall when Collins pinned Argos after the running legdrop at 9:55 [about 3 minutes shown] **Great win for Collins and Blum between two face teams who shook hands before the bout and after the bout.
Bout #10 - Quarterfinal Giant Balls: Balls Mahoney & Kurrgan defeated Texas Trailer Trash: Harley Johnson & Hugh Rogue (/w Carl Todd) by pinfall when Mahoney pinned Rogue after a sitout spinebuster at 5:21 [about 3 minutes shown] **the former champs made short work of the NWA SouthWest competitors. Kurrgan delivered a chokeslam to Todd after the bout.
Bout #11 - Quarterfinal Duane van Staden & Jurie Reichel defeated Stan Baker & Norman Smiley by countout at 8:50 [about 4 minutes shown] **even bout, but Smiley went for a cross body and Staden countered by tossing him over the top rope. Smiley came up lame and couldn't make it back in to beat the 10 count.
RCW RAGE - Hour #2
Bout #12 - Semi-Final Al Collins & Joe Blum defeated Bryan Caruthers & Mike Enos by pinfall when Blum pinned Caruthers after the gut check (military press into a gutbuster) at 10:59 [about 4 minutes shown] **Big upset as a middling team for a couple years comes up with a clean victory over the tag champs. It was a non-title bout of course, but they move on to the tournament final where if they win they will earn a shot to do it again for the gold. Some would say that they may have lacked the killer instinct they would have with the belts on the line.
Bout #13 - Semi-Final Duane van Staden & Jurie Reichel defeated Giant Balls: Balls Mahoney & Kurrgan by pinfall when Staden pinned Mahoney after a missile dropkick at 11:05 [about 4 minutes shown] **this had to be considered an upset, but Kurrgan hurt his leg after being thrown out of the ring, causing him to not be firing on all cylinders for most of the bout. Both teams are considered babyfaces but neither held anything back.
Bout #14 RCW Heavyweight Title Match Nick Mercury defeated Steve Riley by disqualification for use of a foreign object at 9:42 [Nick Mercury retained the RCW Heavyweight Title] **Madusa came down to ringside but tried her best to cheerlead but stay impartial. This bout was a frenetic pace and neither man held back, with the action spilling outside the ring on a couple occasions. The end came through a ref bump when Riley hoisted Mercury up but the champ was able to counter with a back flip, but went colliding into the ref. Mercury went down as well. Riley left the ring and came back with a steel chair. He was going to ~waffle~ the champ but Madusa got in the way, trying to reason with him to keep this a fair fight. She wasn't able to stop him, but did slow him down enough. He nailed Mercury over the head as the champ was struggling to get to his feet. However, the ref saw it and called for the DQ. Riley was mad at Madusa, and Mercury of course was mad at Riley.
Main Event 2nd Frank & Lazarus Larkin Tag Tournament Final Al Collins & Joe Blum defeated Duane van Staden & Jurie Reichel by pinfall when Collins pinned Staden after a running legdrop at 12:50 [Al Collins & Joe Blum won the Larkin Cup] **another bout between two babyfaces but the South Africans made it aggressive right from the start. The end happened when they were setting up Collins for a double team finisher, Blum though recovered and knocked Staden off the top rope. Collins nailed Reichel with an atomic drop and a clothesline, sending him over the top rope. He then nailed a bodyslam and then his finisher on Staden for the win.
Next week Collins & Blum will get their title shot at Caruthers & Enos. There will also be a special Champions 24-man Battle Draw (battle royale). All 24 men who will be drawn one at a time, one every minute, will all be champions; current or past champions, in RCW or otherwise. The winner will become the #1 contender and get a title shot at Mercury the following week. The 24 will include Steve Riley, Stan Lane, Vincent Regliatti, Balls Mahoney, Kurrgan, Duane van Staden, Jurie Reichel, Jerry Orth, Norman Smiley...and many more including some big surprises.
