River City Wrestling #808 September 4, 1999 Rochester, MN
Warm-up on some affiliates
Opening Bout Johnny Devine & Blitzkrieg defeated Sick Boy & Kevin Quinn by pinfall when Blitzkrieg pinned Sick Boy after a shooting star press at 11:39 **Both teams seemed to work well together in this high-flying matchup. In the end Blitzkrieg hit 2 enziguiries and a shooting star press to finish off Sick Boy.
Bout #2 Wiked Klown (/w Becky Hennig) defeated Scarlett Birmingham (/w Lady Victroria) by pinfall after a top rope legdrop at 9:03 **Although Birmingham had the advantage for most of this match, Klown pulled off a major upset with a DDT setting up his Top Rope Legdrop finisher in a very good match.
Bout #3 Four Corners Match Devon Storm defeated Ace Darling, Kutlu Warrior, and Boss Strickland by pinfall when Devon Storm pinned Kutlu Warrior after a shooting star press at 0:32 **This could have had some interesting ramifications with the tag champions facing against each other. However, Kutlu started the match against Devon who nailed him with a couple forearms, a powerbomb, and then a shooting star press to pick up a quick win. Warrior didn't even defend himself. Strange. That boy's elevator does not go to the top floor.
Immediately following the match Menele ran in with the ringbell and laid out Ace Darling then Devon Storm. Boss Strickland then jumped him, but was overwhelmed when Kutlu recovered. Soon The Sandman was on the scene and the Extremists had recovered. The six men fought for several minutes in and out of the ring as the officials tried in vain to stop the carnage.
RCW Rage starts with
Balls Mahoney opens the show in a taped interview from a graveyard where he stands facing Vendetta II. He asks VII for one more match against Pvt. Pain who he has been uanble to secure a clean victory over. VII says he will allow Pain to wrestle Mahoney if certain "stipulations" were agreed to. VII walks away leaving a rolled up contract which has been sealed by candle wax with <<the pRopheCy>> signet impression. Mahoney breaks the seal and reads the contract to himself. He seems quite agitated by the conditions of the match but finally signs the contract.
Bout #1 Secret Stipulations Hardcore Match Balls Mahoney defeated Pvt. Pain (/w Barbie Wired) by submission to the testicular claw at 6:23 **The two are pretty evenly matched but Pain gains an advantage outside the ring and manages to bust open Balls, and deliver a devastating spinebuster slam on the concrete floor. Back inside Pain gets a 2 count after a double underhook suplex. Mahoney battles back and DDT's Pain through a table. Mahoney follows up with a sleeperhold and then a hotshot, and is in firm control despite bleeding like a faucet. The ref checks Mahoney for blood loss, but lets the match continue when Mahoney threatens his manhood. Mahoney puts the testicular claw to work on Pvt. Pain instead, and every guy in the arena including Pain submits. No word on what the secret stipulations were or when they will be revealed.
Jesse Hennig is in the ring as we return. He calls out Becky who comes dressed in her trashy Saturday best. Jesse says that Becky was always..well kind of bitchy and bossy...having her as his indentured slave was appealing. But upon more thought he says that Becky is the cause of his professional downturn; and so she is still fired. Jesse turns to go but Becky grabs onto his arm and tries to make him stay. He whirls and pushes her away, she comes back with a slap, which he then returns. Steve Corino hits the ring and trades punches with Jesse, sending him through the ropes. Becky tries to thank Corino but he just backs away looking at her in disgust.
A camera gets into <<the pRopheCy>> dressing room for a few seconds where Pain is arguing with Vendetta II for his lack of help in the match with Mahoney. He accuses VII of going back on his word...as they notice the camera and abruptly stop talking.
Nick Bockwinkel from the announce table tells us about the participants of tonight's third Ironman qualifying bracket; Jody Christmas, Derek Graves, and Gary Goodridge.
Bout #2 IronMan Qualifier Bracket #3 Jody Christmas (/w Mistress Gloom) defeated Derek Graves (/w Sharon Montgomery & Lord Zoltan) by disqualification for outside interference at 4:23 **Christmas takes it outside immediately and grabs the upper hand with several high impact moves including two german suplexes. Graves' break comes when Christmas misses a plancha and busts himself open in the process. Gary Goodridge, the other participant in this bracket, comes down to ringside for a closer look. Graves continues with a sleeperhold, then a swinging neckbreaker to get a 2 count. Christmas is bleeding like a faucet as Graves runs into the ropes, and is nailed by a chair shot from his former partner Goodridge. While the ref's back is turned to warn Goodridge and Gloom, Montgomery enters the ring and takes the chair and nails Christmas. The ref has seen enough and calls for the bell.
After the match, the Family is really pissed at the ref (with some right), but then goes too far with Graves slapping on the sleeperhold, and then having Lord Zoltan and Montgomery kick him. Goodridge and Christmas roar back into the ring to send the Family scattering. Then when he has his back turned Christmas nails Goodridge with a Superkick and leaves him laying in the ring!!
Chi Chi Cruz is seen entering the building. Joe Aiello tries to get an interview but Cruz isn't saying much except "no comment", and "has anybody seen Bart Gunn tonight?"
Kutlu Warrior is in the ring. He says that Vendetta II and him are officially through. He promises revenge on VII for his role in the beating from Strickland & Sandman. Then he turns his attention to Menele (who appears from the back). He tells Menele that they are tag partners for now; and that's all. Finally he tells that "skank" Barbie Wired to stay out of his matches.
Bout #3 RCW European Title Match Menele defeated The Sandman by pinfall after a powerbomb (with his feet on the ropes) at 5:42 [Menele retained the RCW European Title] **The first few minutes of this match are back and forth. Menele grabs the advantage with an abdominal stretch. Sandman battles back with a sommersault slingshot splash. Menele blocks Sandman's attempt to kick him in the head, scooped Sandman up and delivered a nasty powerbomb. Then the ref didn't see as Menele draped his feet over the ropes and used them for extra leverage.
Bobby Duncum is in the ring. Joe Aiello begins the interview, but within seconds finds himself slapped and out cold. Duncum says that tonight he is going to take care of that punk Jesse Hennig. Then next week he is going to take out both Corino and Jim Neidhart at one time. Corino comes out. He says that since he has never received his return shot at the title and since both he and Duncum have been eliminated from the IronMan, that the IronMan PPV would be a perfect place to settle their feud. Duncum accepts, but says the match will never happen because after next week Corino won't be able to walk. Nick Bockwinkel comes out to spoil the party. He tells Duncum that he will not sanction a handicap match, because he is concerned that Duncum will then not be able to defend his World title. He tells Duncum to find a partner for next week's match. Duncum is livid and takes it out on Joe Aiello who had just got back to his feet.
The Alliance is in the ring. Once again there seems to be some dissension but before we can get too far into things...the signal breaks up as the Indy Fed has pirated the RCW signal again. The scene is the jam packed Armory again as we settle in for another Indy match.
Bout #4 Hardcore Match "La Migra" Maxx Justice defeated "Suicide Machine" Donovan Morgan by pinfall after a slingshot powerbomb at 4:39 **Justice has the early advantage and widens it with an unbelievable belly-to-belly superplex. He follows it up with a spinning powerbomb to get a 2 count. Morgan then counters a suplex attempt with a swinging neckbreaker, and followed up with a figure-four. The advantage trades back and forth, and then Justice tries to hoist Morgan up into the air, but is rolled up into a small package for the two count. Morgan whips Justice into the ropes but it is Justice who then nails Morgan with a shoulderblock. He follows up with a lariat and a singshot powerbomb to get the pin.
During the match the disguised voice insinuates that he has insider information on the RCW operations, and has access to trade secrets as well as actually entering the dressing rooms. He also promises to be back next week with another indy match.
The Family is in the ring. They seem preoccupied with the status of Chi Chi Cruz tonight. Bart Gunn calls him out, but Cruz only appears from the dressing room via the electronic feed. Bart asks Cruz if he is aligned to the Alliance. Cruz basically says no, or not yet. Bart asks if he wants to join the Family, and join him in getting the RCW tag titles (an idea that gets Lord Zoltan jumping up and down with glee). Cruz basically eludes the question saying that the play is only in the first act. We hear the dressing room door open and someone entering the room. Cruz says he has to go and the camera shuts off.
Bout #5 IronMan Qualifier Bracket #3 Derek Graves (/w Sharon Montgomery & Lord Zoltan) defeated Gary Goodridge by countout at 4:58 **Bart Gunn stays down at ringside as this match begins. Gunn tries to throw Graves a roll of coins but Goodridge intercepts it. Goods swings at Graves but misses, and then Graves snatches the coins away and nails Goods. Graves presses his advantage with a sleeperhold. Goodridge continues to battle back only to have Graves nail a swinging neckbreaker. Graves throws Goodridge out of the ring and then distracts the ref while Bart Gunn nails Goods with a big discus punch with a chain wrapped around his fist. Goodridge is out cold and is counted out.
After the match Gunn and Graves continued to beat on Goodridge who lay motionless until Nick Mercury dashed out of the dressing room wielding a chair to send the Family away. A stretcher had to be called out to haul Goodridge away.
Joe Aiello barges into the Kurrgan's dressing room. He tries to get to the bottom of the Kurrgan-Vendetta II relationship. Kurrgan says that his winning the ToughMan belt is a positive step in his career plans. He refuses to answer tougher questions. As Joe opens the dressing room door to leave he comes face to face with a surprised Vendetta II. By the time Aiello stammers out a question, VII has walked away. Kurrgan slams the door shut behind the announcer.
Steve Corino comes down to do color commentary. He makes it well known that Hennig, Duncum, and the Kurrgan are all at the top of his hit list after last week.
Bout #6 RCW Heavyweight Title Match Bobby Duncum Jr defeated Jesse Hennig by pinfall after a flying bulldog at 8:09 [Bobby Duncum Jr retained the RCW Heavyweight Title] **Hennig attacked Duncum before the opening bell. Hennig is too aggressive early and pays for it by missing a tope and wrecking himself bad. Duncum goes to work on Hennig outside the ring, tossing him around, and Hennig is busted open. Duncum hits the bulldog on the concrete floor. But Duncum is too cocky and wastes time which allows Hennig to get back into the match. Hennig battles back and nails an enziguiri. Then the two men trade advantages but Hennig is weakening from blood loss. Still he manages to nail Duncum with a top-rope Frankensteiner and uses the ropes as leverage. He probably would have got the pin but the ref saw the illegal move and called for the break. Steve Corino leaves the announce table to go to rinside. Hennig goes for a DDT, but Duncum counters by trying for a side-suplex, but is countered by Hennig's spinning headscissors. Hennig hits Duncum with a pumphandle slam, and might have got the 3 count but Corino draped Duncum's foot over the bottom rope. Hennig follows up with an amazing top rope powerbomb and only Steve Corino's distracting the ref stops a title change. Hennig goes for a snap mare, but is countered by Duncum with a couple knees to the gut, a high knee lift, and then the flying bulldog for the win.
Duncum stares at Corino who is walking backwards to the dressing rooms. Duncum gives him the bird and jaws at him. Suddenly Kurrgan appears behind Corino. Corino walks right into Kurrgan, and pays for it with a chokeslam on the concrete floor.
Road agent/trainer Vic Gate is seen collecting head referee Buddy Lane, telling him to bring some coffee and meet the RCW's new C.F.O. (he explains to Lane that means Chief Financial Officer). Lane still seems stunned so Gate exclaims - he's our new accountant! They knock on the door and are greeted by (Sgt.) Keywon Grant wearing a suit and carrying a briefcase.
Manny Silva and Joe E. Legend get into a scrap backstage. They promise carnage when they meet at the IronMan PPV.
Main Event Ironman Qualifier Bracket #3 Jody Christmas (/w Mistress Gloom) defeated Gary Goodridge by pinfall after a superkick at 6:17 [Jody Christmas qualifies for the IronMan PPV] **Goodridge is obviously hurting quite badly and needs a clean pinfall victory to win the bracket while Christmas will advance with any type of draw or victory. Goodridge is all over Christmas to start and nails a Frankensteiner, sleeperhold, and a yakuza kick. Christmas roars back with a bodyslam, flying elbowdrop, and then the Superkick. Incredibly Goodridge kicks out at 2 1/2!! Goods battles back and gets a cobra clutch, and a guillotine choke. Christmas then reverses things with a piledriver and then an armbar sumission on Good's injured arm! Reverse neckbreaker, and a moonsault bodyblock get Christmas only a 2 count. Christmas goes for a forearm smash which Goodridge blocks, and then repels himself off the ropes right into a Christmas kick. Christmas then nails the superkick to get the win.
After the match had ended Christmas called for a stretcher to haul an obviously injured and beaten Goodridge away, with apparent concern in his eyes. Goodridge though tried to get up and Christmas then helped him to his feet. He offered his hand which Goodridge shook. Christmas then helped Goodridge to the back. However as they were going through the curtain to a standing ovation they were suddenly attacked by the entire membership of the Family. The beat down continued until the Alliance, led by Nick Mercury came to the rescue, as we
FADE TO BLACK
During his victory over Goodridge, Derek Graves hurt his shoulder and will be out approximately 5 weeks. This could mean the TV belt may need to be forfeited.
Good matches this week (though short), with an excellent Main Event which actually meant something this time, and great story development. Lots of allegiances are being made, and even more are being broken.
Yet another star returns to the RCW fold...Sgt. Keywon Grant. But as the C.F.O.??

River City Wrestling #809 September 11, 1999 Peoria, IL
Warm-up on some affiliates
Opening Bout Johnny Devine defeated Elmwood Brawler by pinfall after a Northern lights suplex at 5:12 **first match for Brawler since he got punked out of The Family. He had his moments but Devine was the much better competitor.
Bout #2 Menele (/w Barbie Wired) defeated Devon Storm by pinfall after a front face DDT at 9:57 **Storm used a Frankensteiner and a waistlock suplex to get the advantage in the bout. Menele battles back with a nice spinebuster slam. The action spills outside the ring where Menele gains the advantage. A groggy Storm follows him back inside the ring and is hit with the finisher for a quick resolution.
Bout #3 Hardcore Match The Sandman defeated Ace Darling by pinfall after a White Russian Legsweep (/w Kendo Stick) at 4:32 **Darling pulls out a top rope somersault splash early and had Sandman in trouble. Sandman though used brass knuckles to even the bout out. He followed up with near falls after a Rolling Rock onto a table, and then a vicious attack with the kendo stick. A DDT then set up the finisher. Darling was busted wide open.
RCW Rage begins with
The announce team informs us that the fourth and final bracket for IronMan qualifying will consist of Vendetta II, Balls Mahoney, and the Kutlu Warrior.
Joe Aiello calling down both Bobby Duncum Jr and Steve Corino to the ring. They jaw at each other over their match at the IronMan, and their match tonight. Aiello asks Duncum about his partner, so Duncum calls him out from the back. Duncum's partner will be Max-Mini! Corino is furious and attacks Duncum, getting the upperhand until the two are pulled apart. Max Mini enters the ring and tries to get a few cheap shots in at Corino but is restrained by Joe Aiello, so Max Mini puts Aiello down with a nut shot followed by a running bulldog.
Opening Bout IronMan Qualifier Bracket #4 Vendetta II defeated Balls Mahoney by pinfall after an inverted DDT at 9:12 **VII attacked Balls from behind before the opening bell. Balls battles back and really takes it to VII with combinations like an elbowsmash followed up with a hotshot. VII is fighting for his life and almost sneaks in a pin while holding the tights of Mahoney. VII nails a big superplex, but then the action goes to the floor where Mahoney takes control again with a flying clothesline. Vendetta II hits a powerslam inside the ring, holds the tights again and gets a 2 count. Mahoney comes right back with a swinging neckbreaker and the testicular claw. VII manages to get to the ropes, leaves the ring, returns with a baseball bat and nails Mahoney in the gut. (No idea this was a hardcore match). Mahoney tries to stand toe-to-toe with VII in the middle of the ring, but is too winded. VII out brawls him and then nails the inverted DDT to get the win. There is still no mention of what the special stipulations were from the Pvt Pain - Mahoney match.
Commish Nick Bockwinkel comes out to announce a triangle match tonight between Jody Christmas-Joe E. Legend-Manny Silva as an IronMan tune up.
Vendetta II is shown in the back confronting Kutlu Warrior. He tells Warrior to lie down for him tonight in their match. Kutlu just shakes his head and laughs at VII. So VII tries to get Menle to tell his tag partner Warrior to do the job; but Menele refuses to intervene. Suddenly the feed breaks up and when it starts again we hear the mysterious voice-over and see a jam packed indy armory.
Bout #2 Hardcore Tag Team Match Reckless Youth & Tatanka defeated Donovan Morgan & Flash Flanagan by pinfall when Tatanka pinned Flanagan after The End of the Trail at 11:13 **Tatanka & Reckless Youth get the first advantage of the match when they nail Morgan with a double DDT. Then when Flanagan tries to interfere he is held back by the referee, they nail Morgan with another double DDT. Tatanka keeps up the pressure with a cobra clutch and a powerslam. Although Morgan gets a shoulder up at the count of 2, he is pretty much out on his feet. Finally Morgan manages a tag to Flanagan. Flanagan almost gets Reckless Youth to submit to a STF. Tatanka tags in and takes it to Flanagan. The 2 teams take turns double teaming, in and out of the ring, as the referee tries to retain order. Finally, Tatanka nails a hurting Flanagan with a DDT, and ends the match with his The End of the Trail finisher.
During the match the announcers identified Native star Tatanka as being a former WWF Superstar. The mysterious voice tells Jack Larkin that just because the next big RCW event is a PPV doesn't mean that Indy wrestling won't be a part of it. In fact, he tells Nick Bockwinkel that he will be providing a match at the PPV between one of his wrestlers and a RCW champion who will be defending his belt. Everyone at the RCW announce table (and at home) are very confused.
Gary Goodridge is in the ring and he challenges anyone from the Family to come out and fight him. Lord Zoltan meets the challenge leading out both Kamala and Bart Gunn. They circle Goodridge who looks like he will be on the short side of a handicapped match until the Alliance music plays and Nick Mercury of all people comes out to tag with Goodridge.
Bout #3 Gary Goodridge & Nick Mercury (/w Big Albert) defeated Kamala & Bart Gunn (/w Lord Zoltan) by pinfall when Goodridge pinned Kamala after a Frankensteiner at 6:36 **Dud of a match. Goodridge & Mercury are all over Bart Gunn to start this match. Goodridge then gets the better of Kamala, with some double team help from Mercury. Bart Gunn comes in to help doubleteam Goodridge but is intercepted by the ref. So Nick Mercury enters the ring while the ref has his back turned and helps Goodridge double team Kamala with a double fist to the midsection. Goodridge nails Kamala with the Frankensteiner.
After the match Goodridge offers his hand to Mercury who feints like he is going to accept it and then just leaves the ring instead laughing at a bewildered Goodridge.
The Alliance is back in the ring in full force. Jody Christmas admonishes Mercury for making friends with the rank and file (despite his own handshake with Goodridge previously), and Kwan rants in Japanese again. Joe E. Legend and Jody Christmas are both upset that they will have to face each other in the triangle match next. They claim it is part of a conspiracy to break up the Alliance. Next they call out Chi Chi Cruz who comes from backstage and enters the ring. Jody Christmas asks Chi Chi to watch his and Legend's backs tonight against the Family. Cruz thinks about it, and then just says "no" and leaves the ring. The Alliance looks shocked and upset.
Bout #4 Triangle Match - IronMan Preview Jody Christmas (/w Mistress Gloom) defeated Manny Silva (/w Lord Zoltan) and Joe E. Legend (/w Mistress Gloom) by pinfall when Christmas pinned Silva after a superkick at 10:36 **This was an excellent match, very well received by fans. Technically Mistress Gloom was in the corner of both Alliance members. Christmas starts the match off against Silva and gets a near pinfall after a moonsault bodyblock and then again after a superkick. Christmas hits a second superkick and has Silva beat, but he picks him up at the 2 count!?? Silva battles back with a flying bodypress and a swinging punch to get a 2 count. Silva continues his punishment with a full nelson, a power bomb, and an avalanche but can not put Christmas out. Both competitors refuse to tag out to Joe E. Legend who grows frustrated. Christmas nails Silva with yet another Superkick and again picks up the wild man at the 2 count rather than take the victory! Then Christmas finally tags out to Legend. Legend goes for the Legend Cutter but Silva blocks it, and muscles Legend right over the top rope, smashing him to the floor below. Out on the floor Silva nails Legend with a powerbomb. Back inside the ring Legend moves out of the way of another avalanche. Silva tags out to Christmas, and after 8 minutes of action we finally have the 2 Alliance members face each other, and the crowd erupts. Christmas nails Legend with a flying clothesline but Legend takes back control and sets him up and nails a superplex. The two stand toe to toe again until Christmas nails Legend with an inverted atomic drop. Legend bumps into the ref, sending him down, and then Christmas blindsides Legend with the Superkick. The ref is still out so Silva enters the ring, but Christmas knocks him back out of the ring with another superkick. The ref recovers and Christmas is still able to cover Legend for the victory.
After a short period of reluctance by Legend, he finally embraces Christmas after the match and they leave together with Gloom.
The Family then joins Silva in the ring. Silva claims that at the IronMan, the Alliance won't be able to double team him so he will tear them both apart; one at a time. Bart Gunn calls out Chi Chi Cruz, saying that since he spurned the Alliance he must join the Family. Cruz does not show up to answer.
Bout #5 IronMan Qualifier Bracket #4 Balls Mahoney defeated Kutlu Warrior by submission to the testicular claw at 10:23 **The combatants trade hotshots, and Mahoney grabs the advantage with a piledriver. Mahoney chokes Kutlu repeatedly, almost getting himself disqualified. Mahoney is in total control of this match now. Mahoney hits the double arm DDT, and then puts the testicular claw on Kutlu. The Warrior battles to the ropes but is in big trouble. Balls goes for a DDT, but Kutlu counters with a swinging neckbreaker. Kutlu's comeback is short lived as Mahoney nails a hotshot followed by a piledriver. Mahoney gets a near fall and then the action spills to the floor. Mahoney wins the battle on the floor as well, and when Kutlu follows him into the ring, he receives the testicular claw as a welcome. This match was a route!
Commissioner Nick Bockwinkel is in the ring and calls out Chi Chi Cruz. Cruz though does not show. Bockwinkel claims that Cruz has been running around RCW affairs for a couple of weeks now but has no RCW contract. He tells Cruz to either sign up, or ship out. Cruz appears on the electronic feed and he tells Bockwinkel to kiss his ass, and claims to have a valid RCW contract signed by a RCW official and a talent rep.
We see the Kurrgan enter the dressing room for Max-Mini (an improvised change room labelled Janitors Room). He chokeslams Mini onto the concrete floor leaving him laying.
Duncum comes out alone and ready to fight both Corino & Neidhart. Nick Bockwinkel comes to the ring and tells Duncum to bring out his partner. Max Mini's music plays but no-one shows. They try it again but nothing happens. Bock tells him to get a partner or the match is cancelled. The lights go out and Kurrgan's music plays. The Kurrgan comes to the ring and Duncum immediately goes right after him. Corino and Neidhart then get in the fray. As the ref separates the combatants the Kurrgan takes a position in the corner as Duncum's partner. Duncum seems to relent.
Bout #6 Tag Team Match Bobby Duncum Jr & Kurrgan defeated Steve Corino & Jim Neidhart by pinfall when Duncum pinned Corino after a running bulldog at 3:55 **Duncum & Kurrgan take turns working over Neidhart until Corino can get tagged in. Duncum and Kurrgan hit Corino with a double vertical suplex. Corino comes back and nails Duncum with a superplex. The two continue to brawl and go toe-to-toe in the middle of the ring. Duncum gets a couple of boots to Corino's midsection which sets up the running bulldog finisher. Kurrgan intercepts Neidhart from making the save, and the crowd is stunned at the quick victory.
After the match Kurrgan quickly chokeslams Neidhart and then Kurrgan, Duncum, and Corino go at each other in an every man for himself three way brawl until officials break it up.
Vendetta II is in the ring, as we await Kutlu Warrior. Kurrgan's music plays and he enters the ring nose-to-nose with VII. They have a stare down and finally Kurrgan grabs a mic and tells VII to beat Warrior and win the spot in the IronMan; "or else"? Kutlu needs a clean win to force a three way tie while VII will advance on a victory or any type of draw.
Main Event: Hardcore Match IronMan Qualifier Bracket #4 Vendetta II (/w Barbie Wired) defeated Kutlu Warrior by pinfall after an inverted DDT at 10:17 [Vendetta II Qualifies for the IronMan PPV] **Vendetta II is all over Kutlu from the start of the match, nailing a clothesline to set up a superplex. Kutlu comes right back though and hits a vertical suplex. Kutlu sets up VII for the tornado DDT, but Vendetta II counters with a northern lights suplex to get a 2 count. Kutlu takes the match out of the ring, but it is VII that grabs the advantage by whipping Warrior into the guardrail and then hits a DDT on the concrete floor. Instead of going for the pin, VII continues to punish Kutlu outside the ring. Kutlu reverses things by whipping VII into a guardrail and then sets him up on a table. VII though blocks Kutlu's attempt to suplex him through the table. VII continues to punish Kutlu, but Kutlu blocks VII's attempt at an inverted DDT finisher. VII retreats back into the ring and Kutlu follows dragging a table with him. Kutlu is bleeding now from his forehead. Inside VII is the quicker man hitting Kutlu with a dropkick sending him into the table he had sent up in the corner, and then nailing him with the finisher.
Vendetta II stands victorious in the ring as the announcers inform us that another match for the IronMan PPV card will be a Triple Threat Tag Team Match for the Titles; champions Kutlu Warrior & Menele vs Extremists vs Sandman & Strickland

River City Wrestling #810 IRONMAN 99 September 12, 1999 Milwaukee, WI
The announcers run down the line-up for us, and tell us that in the IronMan tournament a win is worth 5 points and a draw is worth 2 points. The competitors in the IronMan tournament are Joe E. Legend, Jody Christmas, Manny Silva, and Vendetta II. They will fight a round robin, so each man will have 3 matches tonight.
We also have a Triple Threat Tag team championship match and that big RCW Heavyweight Title match as Bobby Duncum Jr. defends against Steve Corino.
Bout #1 IronMan 99 Jody Christmas defeated Joe E. Legend by pinfall after a superkick at 10:13 [Christmas (5), Silva (0), Vendetta II (0), Legend (0)] ***A main event calibre match to start the PPV. Mistress Gloom comes down to ringside before either man and appears to be neutral. Christmas sets the tone for the match by delivering a punch to the jaw of Legend right at the sound of the bell. He continues his aggressiveness and nails Legend with a piledriver. Christmas climbs to the top turnbuckle but Legend catches him with a shot to the stomach, causing Christmas to crotch himself on the top. Legend climbs the turnbuckles and delivers a superplex on Christmas. Legend pulls out a backslide and gets a nearfall on Christmas, but both men seem to have plenty left in the tank. Christmas turns it up a notch with a series of moves that culminates in a clothesline and a 2 count. He follows up with a flying bodypress and another near fall. Legend makes a comeback, nails a powerslam but only gets a 2 count despite grabbing a handful of trunks. This seems to fire up Christmas more who comes right back with a vicious clothesline and a reverse neckbreaker. Legend comes back again and gets Christmas in position for the cutter. Christmas though pushes Legend off, so Legend goes for a double underhook suplex instead. The match really picks up in tempo now, with both men getting their shots in. Legend catches Christmas climbing to the top again and throws him to the mat. But Christmas just has too much guile for Legend, and the two end up standing toe-to-toe in the middle of the ring with the crowd standing on their feet. Christmas gets the better of the exchange, nails a reverse neckbreaker, and then the Superkick.
After the match Christmas and Gloom have to do some selling before the 3 members of the Alliance embrace.
Bout #2 IronMan 99 Vendetta II (/w Barbie Wired) defeated Manny Silva (/w Lord Zoltan) by pinfall after hitting him with a steel chair at 14:41 [Christmas (5), Vendetta II (5), Legend (0), Silva (0)] **Right from the start of this match VII took it to Silva but then Silva would just come back with one powermove like a powerbomb, and do more damage to VII then he had inflicted on Silva with his previous 5 moves. Kurrgan came down to ringside. Silva hits a superplex and is in control of the match. However, the Kurrgan passes VII a blackjack but Silva snatches it away and nails VII. The ref stops Silva from making a pin attempt by admonishing him for using the foreign object. VII tries to rally with a clothesline but Silva just grabs VII and delivers a gorilla press slam. Vendetta II rolls out of the way of 3 successive elbowdrop attempts and then takes Silva down with a series of punches. VII takes the action outside the ring where he throws Silva into the guardrail. Back inside VII tries to wear down Silva with a standing wristlock. Silva though comes right back at VII and delivers another superplex. VII battles back again with a lowblow, nails a flying bodypress and grabs a handful of tights. The ref sees the tights just before delivering the third count. Outside the ring Kurrgan chokeslams Lord Zoltan to the concrete floor. The two men exchange some more unpleasantries and then Silva gets a near fall after a chokeslam. VII presses an advantage and then tries to turn Silva over for a Texas cloverlaf but can't get the big man over. This saves Silva again as it did in the preliminaries against Corino and Mercury thanks to his powerful low centre of gravity. Kurrgan tries to pass VII a fire extinguisher but Silva, on his back, reaches up and grabs a hold of the object. Silva hits Vendetta in the head with it but again the ref admonishes Silva rather than count the pinfall. The two exchange series of punches. Kurrgan distracts the ref while VII grabs a steel chair that Kurrgan had left on the ring apron and nails Vader in the head.
After the match Kurrgan and Vendetta II leave wordlessly together up the ramp to the back.
Bout #3 RCW Tag Team Title Match Tag Team Triangle Menele & Kutlu Warrior (/w Barbie Wired) (champions) v The Extremists: Ace Darling & Devon Storm v Boss Strickland & The Sandman **Menele starts things off against The Sandman, and along with some double team help from Kutlu, Sandman is in trouble and Kutlu tags out to Devon Storm. Storm hits Sandman with a springboard moonsault to get the 2 count. The Extremists then double team Sandman with a double swanton bomb. Strickland never gets into the match. [Strickland/Sandman eliminated by pinfall when Storm pinned Sandman after a double swanton bomb at 2:07] **Kutlu nails Storm with a Russian legsweep and gets a 2 count. Kutlu accidentally collides with the ref knocking him out, then Ace nails Kutlu with a rana, but there is no ref to count. Menele tags in, and while Ace distracts him Storm sets up a chair and then nails Menele with a DDT onto the chair. Ace follows up with a frankensteiner but only gets a 2 count. Ace keeps up the pressure on Menele; rana (2 count), standing moonsault (2 count), moonsault (1 count), bodyslam, swanton bomb, and finally the 3 count. During this onslaught Kutlu had walked out on his partner Menele! [Menele/Kutlu eliminated by pinfall when Darling pinned Menele after a swanton bomb at 6:15] [The Extremists: Ace Darling & Devon Storm win the RCW Tag Team Championships] The reign of the champs ends after less than a month to the team they had won the belts from. The Extremists become 4 time Tag Team Champions, tying them with the Destruction Crew for most reigns.
Menele goes tearing off to find Kutlu, but instead finds an apparently drunk Sandman who surprises him with a nasty blow with the Singapore Cane. Sandman continues to beat on Menele until RCW officials get between the two.
Bout #4 IronMan 99 Vendetta II (/w Barbie Wired) defeated Joe E. Legend (/w Mistress Gloom) by disqualification at 2:19 [Vendetta II (10), Jody Christmas (5), Joe E. Legend (0), Manny Silva (0)] **Vendetta II starts as the aggressor, but Legend battles back and nails an early Legend cutter, only to have VII kick out of the pin attempt. Smelling early frustrations Gloom throws a road sign into the ring but VII manages to grab it first. He tries to hit Legend with it but its blocked and Legend nails VII instead. Vendetta drapes his foot over the bottom of the ropes to save himself. VII hits a clothesline and a vertical suplex, then backrops Legend through the ropes and follows out after him. On the floor though he is attacked by both Legend and Gloom who ignore the ref's insistence that they stop.
Bout #5 IronMan 99 Jody Christmas (/w Mistress Gloom) defeated Manny Silva (/w Lord Zoltan) by pinfall after a superkick at 11:08 [Jody Christmas (10), Vendetta II (10), Joe E. Legend (0), Manny Silva (0)] **Christmas is all over the slower Silva with 3 clotheslines and a couple of flying bodypresses in the first minute of action. Christmas continues with another clothesline and a moonsault bodypress, followed by a cover and a 2 count.Christmas goes for another moonsault bodyblock, but Silva catches him and turns it into a tombstone. Silva follows up with a powerslam and a 2 count. Christmas takes the action to the outside and throws Silva into the guardrail. Back inside Silva outpowers Christmas again, but Christmas counters a powerslam attempt with a backslide to get a 2 count. Silva ducks away from a superkick attempt but then Christmas nails him with a clothesline. Christmas hits a flying elbowdrop and then nails the superkick, only to have Silva get his foot over the bottom rope to avoid the pin. Christmas goes to the well once too often for a clothesline and Silva grabs him and delivers a gorilla press. Belly to belly suplex, and then Silva goes for a lariat only to have Christmas wrap around him with a crucifix and get a 2 count. Christmas goes again for a moonsault bodyblock, but again Silva is too strong and turns it into a tombstone. Instead of going for the pin, the lunatic throws Christmas through the ropes to the outside. Christmas gets the better of Silva outside the ring. He then takes the fight back inside the ring, but not for long before he is again tossed outside by Silva. And yet again Christmas comes up with the advantage outside the ring. This time when Silva follows him back inside the ring Christmas nails him with the superkick to get the win.
Bout #6 RCW Heavyweight Title Match Bobby Duncum Jr defeated Steve Corino by pinfall after a chairshot to the throat at 28:48 [Bobby Duncum Jr retained the RCW Heavyweight Title] **Duncum is the aggressor right from the start, and Corino has to block a bulldog attempt in the second minute of the match just to stay alive. Corino battles back with a flying clothesline, but Duncum then rolls out of the way of the elbowdrop. The action spills outside where Corino grabs the advantage using the guardrail. Back inside he hits an enziguiri followed by a russian legsweep. Both men go down after a double clothesline, but Duncum is to his feet first and nails Corino with a piledriver, and a 2 count. Corino comes back with a flying clothesline and a vertical suplex. Becky Hennig appears suddenly at ringside and trips up Austin. Corino seems surprised but it allows him to set up Duncum and deliver a superplex. Corino continues the onslaught by clotheslining Duncum out of the ring and then jumping on him with a plancha. They brawl outside the ring with Duncum getting the better of Corino. Duncum then throws Corino into the ringpost, and then twice into the guardrail. Back inside the ring Corino takes Duncum down with a legsweep and then follows up with a dropkick and an elbowdrop. Corino goes for a piledriver but Duncum blocks it, kicks Corino in the gut, and delivers the running bulldog. Amazingly Corino though kicks out at 2 1/2. Corino battles back with a flying clothesline, russian legsweep, and the elbowdrop from the second turbuckle to get a 2 count. German suplex, flying clothesline (2 count). Boston crab, inverted atomic drop, superplex. Now Corino has the sharpshooter on, the ref checks Duncum's arm, it falls once, twice, and then stays up! Duncum fights his way to the ropes, and the crowd is going nuts at about the 14 minute mark of this great match. They stand toe-to-toe until Duncum pulls out a cutter! Corino kicks out again at 2 1/2. Jesse Hennig comes down to ringside and confronts Becky. This seems to distract Corino more than Duncum, and he pays for it receiving a low blow and a piledriver. Corino counters a second piledriver attempt with a backflip and then follows up with a superplex. Both men are down. Corino runs into the ropes only to have Jesse Hennig trip him up. The combatants exchange moves, and then Becky throws a cookie sheet in the ring. It seems intended for Corino but Duncum grabs it first. Duncum hits Hart with it but the ref admonishes him instead of counting. He follows it up by delivering a low blow to Corino. A sleeper suplex...another 2 1/2 count. Duncum goes for a vertical suplex, but Corino rolls him up and gets a 2 1/2 count. Enziguiri, dropkick, and then a figure-four are all delivered by Corino but Duncum won't give up. Boston crab, no submission, spinning toe hold, no submission. Duncum battles back and gets a belly to belly suplex but is too slow to get the pin, kickout at 2. Outside the ring Duncum throws Corino into the ringpost twice and then the guardrail twice. Back inside Corino grabs the advantage, nails a russian legsweep, elbowdrop from the second rope and soooo....close to a 3 count. Corino argues with the ref because he is sure it was a 3 count. Duncum is barely crawling so Corino turns him over and gives him the sharpshooter. Duncum battles to the ropes and with his last burst of energy delivers a low blow to Corino. Corino stumbles backwards and knocks out the ref. The two continue to battle, and then Duncum hits his running bulldog finisher. This time Corino is right out but Becky leaps onto the ring apron and distracts the ref with her...ahem..assets... Corino comes back with an inverted atomic drop, a second rope clothesline and gets a 2 count. Russian legsweep, elbowdrop, 2 count. Corino gets the sleeperhold on Duncum who manages to stumble over to the ropes where he lays prone. The ref tries to hold back Corino who is very frustrated at this point. Jesse Hennig grabs a chair and puts it into Duncum'ss hands. As Corino stands over Duncum, the champ thrusts the chair up catching the King of Old School square in the throat. Duncum manages to crawl on top of Corino to get the win. This was a great match, and a big time candidate for match of the year, with only the outside interference and the screwy ending detracting from the quality.
Bout #7 IronMan 99 Manny Silva (/w Lord Zoltan) defeated Joe E. Legend (/w Mistress Gloom) by disqualification for use of a foreign object at 3:02 [Vendetta II (10), Jody Christmas (10), Manny Silva (5), Joe E. Legend (0)] **This match is strictly for pride. Legend takes it to Silva from the start, and then takes the action out of the ring to try and finish off the mad man. Silva though nails Legend with a swinging punch and then throws Legend into the ringpost. Silva re-enters the ring, and catches Legend following him in with a belly-to-belly suplex, followed by a chokeslam. Mistress Gloom nails Silva in the back with a chair, and for the second straight match gets Legend disqualified.
Bart Gunn and Kamala run in to help Silva fend off Legend and Gloom.
So the final match will feature Jody Christmas and Vendetta II with the winner becoming RCW's first IronMan. Jody Christmas' music plays and he makes his entrance to the ring accompanied by Mistress Gloom. But when Vendetta' music begins to play, instead the electronic feed goes static..and when it resolves we see a jam packed armory. The disguised voice tells Jack Larkin that in accordance to his threat one of the RCW's titles will be defended here tonight. The RCW Rage Theme Song music plays and outcomes RCW wrestler Erin O'Grady. Next comes Indy Sensation Reckless Youth. O'Grady grabs the mic and tells Nick Bockwinkel that he has the RCW Lightweight Title from storage and will meet Youth tonight to decide the new champion. [We're all very confused as there has never been such a title].
Bout #8 Ladder Match RCW Lightweight Title Reckless Youth defeated Erin O'Grady in a ladder match at 22:52 [Reckless Youth wins the RCW Lightweight Title] **O'Grady counters a clothesline attempt, turning it into a belly to belly suplex. Youth has the weight advantage in this match, 183 pounds compared to 175. O'Grady follows up with a belly-to-belly superplex. Youth battles back and brings a chair into the ring. Youth hotshots O'Grady on the chair (ouch!). Somehow O'Grady battles back, and takes the advantage outside the ring where he throws Youth into the guardrail twice. O'Grady manages to almost make it to the top of the ladder but had to make a decision to instead launch down and nail Youth with a spinning leg lariat. Tatanka comes down to ringside as the two continue to battle. Youth is forced to knock O'Grady off the ladder and then throws him out of the ring. Youth follows up by nailing O'Grady with a moonsault plancha. A Double underhook suplex, a shot into the ringpost, and O'Grady is in big trouble. But he manages to block a suplex attempt and throw Youth into the guardrail. The two men exchange high risk moves and then Youth grabs the advantage and puts O'Grady in the Plum Stretch. Then Youth tries to finish off O'Grady with another hotshot on a chair, but O'Grady counters with a lariat. Both men come close to grabbing the belt as the action continues, and the crowd is really into the match. Youth throws O'Grady to the floor where he nails a springboard somersault plancha, a guardrail and ringpost shot, and then a hotshot. The action continues and both men are taking crazy chances trying to put the other man away. Tatanka now gets involved throwing a fire extinguisher to Youth. Youth nails O'Grady with the object and then tries to climb the ladder but is brought down by a belly-to-belly suplex off the ladder. The match continues and O'Grady climbs the ladder and is in reaching distance of the belt but the ladder heaves forward sending O'Grady bouncing off the top rope and out of the ring. O'Grady is wrecked and it is a simple matter for Youth to reset the ladder, work the crowd, climb the ladder and retrieve the belt.
Reckless Youth celebrates in the ring while Erin O'Grady is boo'd right out of the building. The RCW announce crew paint Erin O'Grady as the traitor to RCW that was obviously feeding the Indy fed inside information.
MAIN EVENT IronMan 99 - Deciding Match Jody Christmas (/w Mistress Gloom) defeated Vendetta II (/w Barbie Wired) by pinfall after a hurrancanrana at 18:43 [Jody Christmas (15), Vendetta II (10), Manny Silva (5), Joe E. Legend (0)] [Jody Christmas wins the IronMan] **Christmas gets off to a quick start, and tries for an early Superkick but VII counters with a legsweep. Kurrgan comes down to ringside. Outside the ring Kurrgan makes the distraction as VII throws Christmas into the guardrail and ringsteps. VII goes for a gutwrench suplex but Christmas blocks it. VII is handed a blackjack by the Kurrgan, but before he can use it the 2 combatants stumble backwards and Gloom lowers the top rope sending both men crashing to the floor below. Kurrgan attacks Christmas from behind and helps Vendetta II doubleteam him. This results in the ref sending Kurrgan back to the dressing room, but while his back is turned Gloom ambushes VII, and then nails him with a rocker dropper on the concrete floor! Christmas adds a flying elbowdrop before re-entering the ring. Christmas nails Vendetta with a reverse neckbreaker, a flying clothesline, and a moonsault bodyblock, but can only get the 2 count. Christmas then hits the superkick, but incredibly VII manages to still get a shoulder up to beat the pin. VII battles back and hits a shoulderblock and a flying bodypress, but only gets a 2 count. Vendetta then hits a powerslam (2 1/2 count), bulldog, and fistdrop. Christmas battles back hits a reverse neckbreaker. VII falls out of the ring and barely makes it back in before the 10 count. Christmas pours it on, and gets 4 near falls before VII executes a roll up and gets a near fall himself. Christmas hits a piledriver and gets another 2 count. Christmas goes for a clothesline but VII counters with a belly-to-belly suplex. Vendetta II immediately follows up with an inverted atomic drop, but Christmas blocks it, and hits him with a backdrop, and falls out of the ring. VII goes for a baseball slide but Christmas moves out of the way. VII gets the better of Christmas outside the ring but Christmas does manage to block VII's attempt at his inverted DDT finisher. VII knocks Christmas around a little more outside the ring, and when Christmas follows VII back in he is hit with a running avalanche. VII follows up by going for a jack-knife powerbomb, but Christmas counters with a rana to get the surprise pin!
After the match Kurrgan hits the ring and lays out Christmas with chair shots to the back. VII joins him and they double team Christmas. Gloom tries to help but is soon ejected. The double team continues for a couple of minutes until Joe E. Legend finally shows up,but he too is soon ejected. From up the ramp comes Steve Corino, but he hesitates before entering the ring. Ben Bassarab appears out of the crowd, marking his return to the RCW, and enters the ring from behind. Corino grabs Kurrgan's legs and hauls him out of the ring. Bassarab lays into Vendetta II inside the ring, as we

River City Wrestling #811 September 18, 1999 Green Bay, Wisconsin
RCW RAGE opens with
The ringing of cowbells, and the RCW Heavyweight Champion Bobby Duncum Jr. First off Duncum gloats about beating the king of old school last night (Steve Corino). "Back in Black" by AC/DC plays and out comes Jesse Hennig. Hennig rants at Duncum that it was he who gave Duncum the belt, otherwise Corino would have it right now. Duncum basically says "I'm not going to waste my words on a sorry jackass like you" and lays Hernnig out with a running bulldog! Steve Corino suddenly appears behind Duncum with a chair and levels the champ. Duncum is busted open and Corino next turns to smash Hennig with the chair. Becky though runs down the aisle and grabs the chair out of Corino's hands. She tells him not to worry and then she takes the chair and slams it into Hennig's ribs! Becky leaves and Corino looks confused. Grabbing the mic Corino tells both Duncum & Hennig to come to the ring for tonight's main event and we'll find out where each man stands.
Opening Bout Scarlett Birmingham (/w Lady Victoria) defeated Keywon Grant, C.F.O. by submission to the Birmingham stretch at 12:53 **Grant is a game competitor but it's all Birmingham early in this match. Grant's few offensive flurries are squashed by Birmingham's counter moves. Birmingham wears Grant down with a Boston crab followed by a cobra clutch. Another Grant comeback ends when Birmingham puts his knees up when Grant goes for the frog splash. The match looks to be over when Birmingham puts on the Birmingham Stretch, but Grant manages to work his way to the ropes. The action then spills out to the floor. Grant grabs the advantage and back inside the ring applies a double reverse chinlock, and follows up with a DDT and a 2 count. Lady Victoria trips up Grant and Birmingham tries for a cobra clutch, but Grant blocks the move. But Birmingham softens up Grant some more before applying the Birmingham Stretch and this time getting the submission.
The Alliance strolls to the ring (Christmas Legend, Gloom, Mercury, Kwan, Big Albert).Christmas congratulates himself on winning the IronMan, and turns it into a few sexual innuendos. Turning serious he tells Bobby Duncum that due to his IronMan win he is the #1 contender, but while he would like his title back now, he wants to eradicate <<the pRopheCy>> even more. October's PPV will be Nothing Else Matters; and at NEM Christmas challenges Kurrgan to meet him in a CAGE MATCH!! Mercury gets on the mic next and calls out Ben Bassarab. Before Bassarab can make it to the ring Mercury tells him to mind his own business and stay out of the Alliance's way. He then asks Bassarab why he keeps leaving the RCW?. Why does he keep running away when the going gets tough? Bassarab's music plays and the RCW Hall of Famer walks quickly to the ring.
Bout #2 Nick Mercury (/w Big Albert) defeated Ben Bassarab by submission to the cloverleaf at 14:40 **The action goes to the floor early when Mercury misses a tope. Bassarab follows up the advantage with a tombstone piledriver on the floor. Big Albert distracts Bassarab, allowing Mercury to nail a couple of consecutive back suplexes. Back in the ring now Mercury nails a standing moonsault to get the 2 count. Yoshi Kwan comes to ringside. Mercury goes for an asai moonsault but Bassarab catches him and turns it into a tombstone. Bassarab executes a series of 4 german suplexes. Kwan passes Mercury a hammer which he sneaks in a shot to Bassarab's head but only gets a 2 count when Bassarab snakes his foot over the bottom rope. Mercury rolls out of the ring to regroup and Bassarab attempts a tope suicide but Mercury moves out of the way. Mercury gets a 2 count after a german suplex, follows up with a springboard suplex and gets a 2 1/2 count while holding the tights. Kwan throws a chair in the ring which the 2 use like a hot potato until Mercury finally gets the chair shot in on Bassarab. 2 count. The two continue the torrid pace until Bassarab gets the crossface on Mercury, but is too close to the ropes. Finally Mercury gets a powerbomb, 2 1/2 count, and then gets the cloverleaf for the win.
From his dressing room Bobby Duncum accepts Corino's challenge to "sort things out tonight". Duncum though says it won't be for the RCW World Title, and he wants Becky to be the guest referee so he can keep an eye on her too.
RCW Commish Nick Bockwinkel calls out the Leprechaun Erin O'Grady. He yells at O'Grady calling him an ingrate after all the RCW has done for him it was reprehensible for O'Grady to make up a RCW Lightweight Championship. Bock finishes by saying that he isn't going to fire O'Grady..oh no..he has something better in mind. Tonight that better is Gary Goodridge, the mixed martial artist. Goodridge runs into the ring, and Bock stays to officiate.
Bout #3 Special Guest Referee: Nick Bockwinkel Gary Goodridge defeated Erin O'Grady by pinfall after a Frankensteiner at 7:17 **O'Grady starts off strong inside the ring against Goods but is over powered. Goodridge takes the action outside where he tosses O'Grady around ringside. Tatanka comes down to ringside. Inside the ring Goodrdige punishes O'Grady with a kneelock submission hold. Yakuza kick, takeover suplex, and another kneelock submission applied by Goods. Goodridge has O'Grady in the ankle lock submission for over a minute, but Bock doesn't call for the bell even though O'Grady is tapping like crazy, so Goodridge breaks the hold. Goodridge punishes the Leprechaun for another minute or so, and then hits a frankensteiner to get the 3 count.
<<the pRopheCy>> are in the ring (Vendetta II, Kurrgan, Menele, Pvt Pain, Barbie Wired). VII talks first telling Christmas that he will pay for cheating his way to victory at the IronMan. Kurrgan takes over telling Christmas that he has already pronounced his own sentence; and accepts the cage match for Nothing Else Matters.
In the back Boss Strickland barges into a dressing room to talk to The Sandman. He asks the Sandman what the hell is is doing, saying that he was going to win the tag belts single handedly and then loses the shot single-handedly. Sandman tells Strickland to get the hell out, that their partnership is terminated. Kutlu Warrior appears from behind Strickland, carrying two open beers, and nails Strickland in the back of the head with the beers. Sandman and Kutlu beat down Strickland.
Bout #4 Chi Chi Cruz defeated Shaggy by pinfall after a cradle piledriver at 6:29 **The match is pretty even in the early going with Shaggy holding his own. Wiked Klown comes to ringside. Outside the ring Chi Chi Cruz throws Shaggy around, into the guardrail, ringsteps, and announcer's table. Shaggy wrecks himself when Chi Chi Cruz moves away from a flying cross body press attempt outside the ring. Back inside the ring Shaggy battles back with an inverted atomic drop, piledriver, and side suplex. He goes for an elbowdrop but Cruz moves out of the way. Cruz follows up with the cradle piledriver to get the pin.
After the match Wiked Klown hangs around to offer a handshake to Shaggy. Shaggy though doesn't accept, and the two come to blows instead.
The Extremists are in the ring cutting a promo, basically dissing each tag team, when the arena lights go out. When the lights come back on the electronic feed has that Indy fed on again. The voice tells Nick Bockwinkel that he always delivers what he promises, unlike the RCW. The voice then tells Bockwinkel that his Indy fed is not yet done adding RCW titles to their collection.
Bout #5 RCW Lightweight Title Match (non-sanctioned) Donovan Morgan defeated Reckless Youth by pinfall after a suicide drop at 5:41 [Donovan Morgan wins the RCW Lightweight Title] **Right from the start of the match we have 3 consecutive lariat attempts by Youth, and each time Morgan counters with a crucifix. Dragon suplex and somersault slam are Morgan's follow up offensive moves. Morgan sets up a chair and is set to piledrive Youth onto the chair, but the champ counters by slingshotting Morgan into the turnbuckle. Youth makes a comeback but misses badly on a springboard somersault plancha. Youth makes another comeback and tries to finish Morgan with a DDT onto a chair, but Morgan counters with a low blow. He follows up with near falls after a somersault slam, flying legdrop, and dragon suplex. Finally, Morgan nails the suicide drop to take the belt.
After the match the video feed is returned to the RCW. Derek Graves comes to the ring with Sharon Montgomery and Lord Zoltan. Graves says that he is injured and he last defended the TV title on Aug 28. Therefore, he has only 9 days left before he will be stripped of the title. Well, he calls Bockwinkel in the ring, and tells Bock that he will not be able to defend this belt. Graves hands over the belt to a very solemn looking Commisioner, but then Graves scoopslams Bock! Graves drops a couple of elbows on Bockwinkel before draping the TV belt over Bock's gut.
Boss Strickland hits the ring and calls out Sandman and Kutlu Warrior. We get only the Sandman and the two begin a match immediately.
Bout #6 The Sandman defeated Boss Strickland by disqualification for outside interference at 4:19 **Sandman grabs the early advantage and extends it using a sleeperhold followed by a DDT. Menele comes to ringside and soon after trips up Sandman. Strickland nails Sandman with a hotshot, but when he goes for a second hotshot Sandman counters with a lariat. Sandman gets a 2 count after a spinebuster slam, and then slaps on the sleeperhold to further wear down Strickland. Sandman continues his dominance of Strickland with a flying somersault splash, and a DDT. Sandman goes for the pin but Menele drapes Strickland's foot over the bottom rope to save him. However, the ref sees the second piece of interference already in this match and calls for the disqualification.
Menele enters the ring and but then Kutlu Warrior hits the ring with a pair of brass knuckles and lays out Menele from behind. Kutlu then throws Menle into Strickland's arms and drags The Sandman out of the ring.
MAIN EVENT Non-Title Match - Elimination Style Special Guest Referee Becky Hennig Bobby Duncum Jr v. Steve Corino. v. Jesse Hennig **Hennig starts off against Duncum. Duncum grabs the early advantage with some brawling. Max Mini comes down to ringside. Duncum goes for a piledriver but Hennig counters with a slingshot into the turnbuckle. Outside the ring Duncum busts Hennig open with just punches, and Hennig has to block a bulldog attempt back inside the ring to survive. Duncum tags out to Corino. Corino takes it to Hennig, but is kicked off when he tries for a figure-four around the ringpost. Hennig tags out to Duncum. Corino tries to come off the ropes but Max Mini pulls Corino from the ring. Becky Hennig goes nose to mid-riff with Max Mini and threatens to disqualify Duncum. Corino hits Duncum with a russian legsweep, elbowdrop from the second turnbuckle, and a 2 count. Max Mini throws Dustin a chair, but Corino counters Duncum's attack and uses the chair on Duncum. Corino gets a 2 count. Duncum and Corino trade advantages and then suddenly Duncum attacks with a kick to the gut and a flying bulldog. But Corino kicks out at 2 1/2, on a very slow count by Becky. Corino battles back and nails Duncum with a superplex. Duncum tags out to Hennig who surprises Corino with a German suplex and would have had the 3 count but Becky refuses to count for Jesse! Jesse places Corino on the top turnbuckle and nails a frankesteiner!! Again Becky refuses to count the pinfall. Corino is out on his feet and Hennig nails him with another German suplex. Finally, Becky very reluctantly counts a very slow 3 count. [Steve Corino has been eliminated by Jesse Hennig by pinfall at after a German suplex at 6:15] **Duncum quickly enters the ring and tries to whip Hennig into the ropes. Hennig hangs on and tries to whip Duncum into the ropes instead. This time it is Duncum's turn to hang on and then catch Hennig with a running bulldog. This time Becky counts very quickly. [Jesse Hennig had been eliminated by Bobby Duncum Jr by pinfall after a running bulldog at 6:31] [Bobby Duncum Jr wins the elimination match at 6:31]
After the match Max Mini enters the ring and celebrates with Bobby Duncum Jr. In the back we see Steve Corino and Becky talking in hushed tones, as we

River City Wrestling #812 Marquette, WI September 25, 1999
RCW RAGE opens with
Kurrgan in a steel cageā¦. The giant Acadian says that Jody Christmas isn't half the man that he is (literally) so this will be an easy victory. Christmas doesn't belong in a cage, he belongs in Playboy for all his fans to gaze at. That will end though at Nothing Else Matters where he will be terribly disfigured and his back broken in two. Vendetta II then appears to rant on Duncum, demanding his rematch for the Heavyweight title be at Nothing Else Matters. And in the meantime, in tonight's main event Duncum is challenged to wrestle against Pvt.Pain in a strap match!
Jack Larkin calls Vic Gate on the phone, he is at an airport. Larkin tells Gate that Blitzkrieg had received special instructions on how to get to the Indy venue. The Indy had sent him an invitation to wrestle for the bogus RCW lightweight championship against Donovan Morgan tonight! Larkin tells Gate to follow Blitzkrieg and get directions to the armory, but not to go in. They would nail them with something bigger next week.
Ben Bassarab and Steve Corino are arguing in the back over Corino's decision to bring out Becky for their match next against Kutlu/Sandman. Corino argues that Becky knows both these guys' strengths and weaknesses from Barb Wire City days. Bassarab says that's what he's worried about; that she knows them. Corino says fine, then remember keep your friends close but your enemies closer.
Opening Bout Steve Corino & Ben Bassarab (/w Becky Hennig) defeated Kutlu Warrior & The Sandman by submission when Corino submitted Kutlu to the figure-four leglock at 10:14 **Corino starts off against The Sandman. Sandman gets the better of the early exchange and nails Corino with a piledriver, and Corino tags out to Bassrab. Bassarab goes to work on the Sandman with two dragon suplexes and then a crossface, but he is in the ropes. Corino tags in and continues to take it to Sandman, who then manages a tag to Kutlu. Corino and Bassarab deliver two doubleteam headbutts on Kutlu, before Bassarab tags in. Kutlu though really takes it to Bassarab, and gets a nearfall after a powerslam. Bassarab battled back with some suplexes and a powerslam of his own. Next it was Kutlu's turn to take it to Bassarab, and he risks DQ by trying to choke out Bassarab. Finally, Bassarab managed the hot tag in to Corino who took it to Kutlu with an attack of flying clothesline, russian legsweep, elbowdrop from the second rope, and then the figure-four. Bassrab held off the Sandman as Kutlu finally submitted.
Immediately after the match Jesse Hennig hit the ring with a chair and whacked Corino over the head. He then dragged Corino out of the ring and set him up on a table. Becky tried to get in the way but Jesse pushed her away. In the meantime, Kutlu and Sandman were beating down Bassarab. Then Boss Strickland hit the ring with a tire iron and sent Kutlu and Sandman scurrying. Bassarab got over and dropkicked Jesse Hennig in the back, sending him flying off the ring apron and saving Corino.
Corino and Bassarab are still in the ring after the break. Corino says that if Jesse likes tables so much that they should have a table match at Nothing Else Matters. Announcer Joe Aiello says the winner would be in position to be the #1 contender for the Heavyweight Title.
Commish Nick Bockwinkel calls out Erin O'Grady, and says they know where the Indy fed that he is working for is located. O'Grady comes out with a new valet Strawberry Fields, who was the last women's champion before RCW moth balled the title at the end of 1998. Bock says the damage done by Goodridge last week was not enough, that Goodridge was too nice. This week instead he found someone really nasty to wrestle, unless O'Grady wants to be sued for breach of contract. Bockwinkel stays on as the guest referee.
Bout #2 Special Guest Referee Nick Bockwinkel Manny Silva (/w Lord Zoltan) defeated Erin O'Grady (/w Strawberry Fields) by disqualification at 5:22 **The Leprechaun walks up to Silva and nails him with a legsweep faceslam! Silva comes back with elbows and kicks. The mad Hawaiian has to duck a flying spinning leg lariat as O'Grady holds his own. Silva nails a powerbomb. Tatanka and Vic Grimes come down to ringside. Silva goes for a wheelbarrow suplex, but O'Grady counters with a knee to the groin. On his feet O'Grady nails a flying bulldog and a flying bodypress, but Silva launches O'Grady off after a one count. O'Grady continues to surprise the mad man with a somersault legdrop, legseep faceslam, and a flying fistdrop. Bart Gunn and Kamala come down to join Zoltan in keeping an eye on Fields, Tatanka, and Grimes. The action spills outside where O'Grady nails a flying cross body press. Back inside O'Grady puts on a figure-four sleeper. Silva battles back and goes for a powerslam but O'Grady brings the bigger man down with a high body press. O'Grady then nails a flying cross body block and goes for the pin. He grabs the tights as Bockwinkel reluctantly counts 1...2...and then sees the tight pull and DQ's O'Grady.
