March 3, 2007
Hall of Fame Announcement: Chris Champion is joined in the ring by announcers Joe Aiello & Linley Tolbert. We were pre-empted last week but are back with a special announcement tonight. Next week, on March 10th we will induct into the River City Wrestling Hall of Fame two very deserved new members. First, long time referee and former wrestler, Buddy Lane who has been with this company since 1981. Secondly, the first announcer in RCW history who did the play by play duties for over 15 years, Ron Strong. Opening Bout: Vampiro defeated Scott Vick by pinfall after a brainbuster at 7:11 -Vamp continues with little purpose in MAPW Interview Chris Champion comes out to interview and clear the air with Adam Riggs as to who has power, the orders being handed down from the executive to Champion or the powers given to Adam Riggs as Commissioner. But before Champion can get much of an understanding going with Riggs, the Irish thug gets into his face and intimadates him. He sends Champion out of the ring grabbing his papers as he goes. Riggs begins to read off the matches for tonight, Vick versus Vampiro, well that sucked. Rhodes versus Holiday, well okay although two cowboys together doesn't always work out to the straight and narrow, hummm....most of the rest of this sucks. Okay I tell you what here's what we're going to do. Jerry Orth, you seem to think you are getting in line for a title match against Kidman, well that spot belongs to my man Trent Arion...and tonight he will prove it in the ring against you Orth. Oh, look at this...April Hunter to defend her title against Rena Mero in a strip naked match..oh settle down you bunch of *****, that was a joke....well April done defended that belt against Mero too many times. It's boring. There's only one woman around here who hasn't received a title shot..that's Dana Hamm. Yes, she is an Overlord too like Hunter, but competition is good, and if Hunter is ever going to lose that belt its better kept in the family...kind of like Barry Windham's sex life. Jindrak versus Evergreen..okay, that should be fun. Kidman versus McGuinness in an iron on a pole match...okay...what's this me to defend my title AGAIN against Petey Williams..no..no..NO..NO...its time to move on folks. Tonight's main event will be a #1 contenders match to decide who gets to meet me for this title. You know I don't know what the hell is going on with you Brock Lesbian but its time to find out. So tonight you will be in that match against your old rival..Kurt Angle!!! The fans cheer. See, you like me, you really like me, bunch of pissants.

Bout #2 Mark Jindrak defeated Asp Evergreen by pinfall after hitting him with a steel chair at 7:25 -Pretty even match between these two but just as Evergreen nailed a nice plancha outside the ring and seemed to take control of the match his manager Joanie Laurer decided it was a great time to deliver a nice kiss to her man Evergreen. This brought out Eddie Chavez to argue with his partner and manager, and distracted referee Buddy Lane who got tangled up with Chavez. Jindrak used this opening to nail Evergreen with a steel chair and then pick up the win. Interview: Mark Jindrak is interviewed and gloats about winning the match. His partner Sean O'Haire comes out, and isn't very happy about the tactics used but seems to bite his tongue and listen to Jindrak brag. Bout #3 Sam Holiday defeated Dustin Rhodes by pinfall after a Holiday legdrop at 11:29 -for two slower, older veterans, these two had the fans eating out of the palm of their hand, with some good old fisticuffs, back and forth action, and in ring drama. Holiday played the wounded comeback angle, and Rhodes used every dirty trick to try and keep him down including choking him with the tag rope, using the ropes for leverage on an abdominal stretch, etc. Rhodes telegraphed a back body drop, so Holiday nailed him with a drop down punch, followed by an atomic drop, running clothesline, bodyslam in the corner, and then the Holiday legdrop from the top rope. Interview: Sam Holiday is interviewed following his victory. He says Rhodes is nothing but a bully, a coward at heart, and he urges Javier Reyes to use his falling out with Rhodes as a turning point for his life and his career, to go the straight and narrow. Bout #4 MAPW Women's Championship April Hunter defeated Dana Hamm by submission to the Hangman at 7:52 [Hunter retains the MAPW Women's Title] -Hamm is a good athlete but Hunter is an animal in the ring, and still a good couple notches ahead of the rookie Hamm. After the match there seemed to be some bad feelings between the two Overlords as Hamm left the ring on her own. Interview: April Hunter is being interviewed and makes the assertion that she has beat every **** in MAPW and there is no one else left. She says she is contemplating entering the men's division and retiring the Women's belt. The fans errupt though as a newcomer to MAPW comes down the aisle and into the ring, its former WWE/ECW star "Jazz". The fans actually give her a mix of cheers and jeers because Hunter despite being a villian is still very popular with the fans. Jazz says theres a new ***** in town, and Hunter better get ready to get down and dirty, she might even chip a nail. Hunter just stands there and stares at Jazz trying not to look worried. Dana Hamm sneaks back into the ring and attacks Jazz from behind. The two on one beat down is on, and continues for a couple minutes until Sarah Stock hits the ring to make the save. [end of first hour] purplediv.jpg
Bout #5 Trent Arion defeated Jerry Orth by pinfall after a running powerslam at 6:03 -fairly quick and decisive match for Arion, who controlled the early going, and might have won quicker if he didn't stop to argue and insult the fans. The former Spinebuster Jerry Orth made a comeback, but when he went for a spinebuster, Arion countered with a rake of the eyes. He followed up with some elbows, an arm capture suplex, and then finished him off with a running powerslam. Post-Match: Adam Riggs comes to the ring again to congratulate his protege Trent Arion and to demand a title shot for Arion against Billy Kidman. He also takes the time to congratulate April Hunter for her victory, and says someone in the Overlords, Dan Severn, The Stalk, Brandon Myers, needs to step up and get the tag belts from the Special Olympians Ass Evereamed and Eddie Slowhands. Bout #6 Non-Title Match Iron on a Pole Match Billy Kidman defeated Nigel McGuiness by disqualification at 9:30 -Kidman controlled early but made the mistake of trying to climb the pole too early and McGuiness made him pay, suplexing him off. The next couple minutes consisted of McGuiness beating on Kidman and the TV champ just doing his best to stay alive. Eventually the tables are turned though and Kidman manages to throw McGuiness off the the pole. He climbs up and grabs the iron, climbs down, but when he goes to nail the challenger, the Brit reaches into his tights and throws a handfull of powder into Kidman's eyes. This causes Buddy Lane to call for the bell and to disqualify McGuiness. The challenger continues to beat on Kidman, and ends up busting him open with a shot from that Union Jack iron. purplediv.jpg
Main Event #1 Contenders Match Kurt Angle v Brock Lesnar (/w Rena Mero) -Match starts off clean with some collar-elbow-hookups. Brock wins a couple tests of strength before Angle takes him down to the mat. He tries for an STF, then for an anklelock but both times Lesnar is able to neutralize Angle. The fans are solidly behind Angle. Lesnar takes the intensity up a notch when he nails Angle with a forearm to the jaw on a corner break. The two get into trading punches and Brock nails Angle with a belly to belly. Lesnar works over Angle, seeming to choose his back as the target for most of the punishment. Angle makes a comeback but a back bodydrop further weakens his own back. Seeking a rest he goes to a front facelock on the mat. The two show off their amateur mat wrestling background with some chain wrestling before Brock nails Angle with a monstrous powerbomb. Instead of releasing it though he picks Angle back up and nails another powerbomb. Angle manages to kick out of the pin attempt but his back is hurting. The action spills outside where Kurt manages to make a comeback, nailing Brock with a hit and move strategy. Back inside Kurt gets the anklelock on but Lesnar manages to kick him off. Angle continues to attack with some of his signature moves including a high angle suplex, and the Angle slam, but Lesnar manages to kick out. Rena Mero is urging her man on, slapping the ring apron. Lesnar catches Angle with a lowblow unseen by the ref, then a scoop slam, and a fistdrop. He goes for a belly-to-belly but Angle reverses it. Kurt puts Lesnar into the ankelock. Brock fights it slowly making his way over to the ropes. Angle though drags Brock back to the middle of the ring. The announce crew mention that we are almost out of television time. MAPW Heavyeight champion and commissioner Adam Riggs comes down to the ring. He grabs the mic and says there is only 20 seconds left in the television time limit. Brock continues to fight off the pain while Riggs counts down. Finally the 20 seconds expire and Riggs call for the bell. TV Time Limit Draw 15:31 Post-Match: Adam Riggs climbs into the ring and laughs at both Angle and Lesnar. Angle tries to attack him but Riggs is fresh. He ducks under, and then chokeslams Angle to the mat. He lays the boots to him, and then nails a jacknife powerbomb. Riggs call for the bell and says the match will continue. But the announce crew say we are out of time...as we... FADE TO BLACK

March 10, 2007
Continuation From Last Week: Yes we kept the cameras rolling after Adam Riggs in his role as commisioner declared the Kurt Angle - Brock Lesnar #1 contender match to be a TV time limit draw. Angle tried to attack Riggs, but the Irish Thug was too fresh and pulverized Angle. He then called for the bell saying the match would restart and be shown the following week on TV. Brock Lesnar just smiled, greatful for the gift. #1 Contenders Match - Re-started Kurt Angle defeated Brock Lesnar by pinfall after an Angle Slam at 4:04 -Brock thought he had the match won, and might have wasted a bit too much time. Angle got a shoulder up a couple of times, then made a short comeback before nailing the Angle slam and picking up a surprise win. Hall of Fame Awards Presentation Chris Champion, James Beard, Baron von Raschke, Sam Holiday and Jim Brunzell are all on hand in the ring to hand plaques and appreciation to Buddy Lane and Ron Strong for their service to River City Wrestling and induct them into the Hall of Fame. River City Wrestling was the original name of the company, and remains the name of the parent company although the operating name has changed from River City Wrestling to Great Plains Wrestling to Mid-American Pro Wrestling to Northern Premiere Wrestling and back again to Mid-American Pro Wrestling. Bout #2 Triangle Match Jerry Orth defeated Tajiri and Vampiro by pinfall when Orth pinned Vampiro at 8:45 -Tajiri and Vampiro showed a real strong dislike for each other, and this kept the more businesslike and calm Orth in charge of the key moments in the match. Tajiri lost his temper and blew the green mist into the face of Vampiro, but in doing so exposed his back to Orth who took him out with an atomic drop sending him over the top rope. Orth then nailed a spinebuster on the blinded Vampiro to take the win. Bout #3 Sean O'Haire defeated Eddie Chavez by pinfall after outside interference at 6:47 -O'Haire had control of most of the match but Chavez gave it a game effort and looked like he would not be defeated easily. But then O'Haires Natural Born Thriller partner Mark Jindrak came down to the ring and tripped up Chavez at the right time to turn the tide of the match and O'Haire came up with the win. Interview: Mark Jindrak refuses to apologize for his actions, and Sean O'Haire doesn't know what to make of the situation. Javier Reyes comes out to complain, he says he saw the interference and Jindrak should be disqualified. Jindrak tells Reyes to mind his own business. Eddie Chavez comes out to calm down Reyes, and pull him out of harms way. The NBT say they have now beat the champions in one-on-one encounters and want another title shot next week. The announcers openly wonder where Asp Evergreen is, and how come it was up to Reyes to come out to stick up for Chavez instead of his own tag champ partner. Bout #4 Jazz & Sarah Stock defeated April Hunter & Dana Hamm by pinfall when Jazz pinned Hunter after a Jazz Stinger at 9:23 -the match was pretty much to sell the story that Jazz is a strong contender for April Hunter's title, and that there is still some friction between Hunter and Hamm. Dana had time to try and enter to break up the pin but elected to stay in the corner and prop her foot up on the bottom rope. [end of first hour] purplediv.jpg
Bout #5 MAPW TV Title Match Billy Kidman defeated Nigel McGuiness by pinfall after a shooting star press at 12:00 [Billy Kidman retains the MAPW TV Title] -McGuiness gave it one more try to wrestle the belt away from Kidman, but the champ stood strong once again. This match spent as much time outside the ring as in which favored the challenger. But inside the ring Kidman gained back control time and again, but missed a couple of high risk moves that almost lost him his belt. Interview: Dan Severn comes to the ring with his protege The Stalk. He says its obvious that there is a division in the ranks of the Overlords, and its being started by Adam Riggs, their so called leader. Severn says he doesn't need to prove anything to anyone, especially not Adam Riggs. But just to prove a point to Riggs he's going to do something next that Riggs could not do. Severn calls out former MAPW Heavyweight champion Petey Williams, claiming he's going to beat him first time out and with no help from another wrestler; two things Riggs failed to do. Bout #6 Dan Severn defeated Petey Williams by submission to the STF at 7:05 -Williams had his moments early but then Severn took over the match and took Williams to school. He locked in the STF and Williams tapped out immediately. The announcers said Severn did what he promised to do, but speculate that if Williams had been champion like he was when he met Riggs, then he wouldn't have tapped out so easy. Williams looks like a broken man as he leaves the ring. Promo; Chris Champion calls out MAPW Heavyweight champion Adam Riggs to the ring, and calls out new #1 contender Kurt Angle. Champion says they will meet in the main event next week for the MAPW title. He tries to fan the fires burning inside both men and suceeds very quickly. Angle says that Riggs tried his best to sabotage his chance at the title, but failed, and now all the running has stopped. Riggs gives Angle a golf clap and says big deal, you beat Brock Lesbian. Riggs warns Angle that he is a whole different kettle of fish, and by the time he's done with Angle he'll be back to wrestling at the YMCA with a wedgie and one of those fag helmets on. Angle calls Riggs a real class act, but Riggs just tells him to "blow me". Main Event Robert "Blaze" Bayley defeated Brandon Myers by disqualification for outside interference at 5:11 -Myers attacked his old nemesis before the opening bell and controlled the first couple minutes. Bayley though wouldn't go down without a fight, and as soon as he took over the match Dan Severn and the Stalk hit the ring and attacked Bayley causing the DQ. Post-Match: At first it seemed that Myers was a bit upset at Severn for entering the match and causing the DQ. Severn pinned back Bayley's arms and told Myers to kick him. After a bit of hesitation Myers wound up and superkicked Bayley in the face. The Overlords Myers, Severn, Stalk, were joined by Rigg's protege Trent Arion and Dana Hamm in the beat down of Bayley. Sam Holiday and Kurt Angle hit the ring, but were badly outnumbered and ended up grabbing Bayley out of the ring and retreating. Then Severn grabbed the mic and called out Adam Riggs to show he was either still with the Overlords or not. Riggs made his way down to the ring wearing his title belt, and being accompanied by April Hunter wearing her title belt around her waist. He pauses before taking the mic to plant a nice long kiss on Hunter. Then he pauses before taking the mic again and calls over Dana Hamm. He surprises her with a nice long kiss as well, a kiss that she doesn't want. Myers looks ready to protest but then thinks better of it. Riggs then calls over Myers who looks hesitant. Riggs takes the mic and says don't worry I wasn't going to kiss you like some faggot. The fans boo as Riggs offers his hand shakes with Myers, then does the same with Severn, Stalk, and his own protege Arion. Riggs tells the jeering fans to shut up, let go of their ***** for a second and clap for the greatest force in pro wrestling the Overlords. Riggs says he loves making everyone think there is some glimmer of hope that the great Adam Riggs..the God of pro wrestling...will fall down from the heavens and land in hell, but it ain't going to happen. The Overlords are united and will take anything, anyone, and any belt they want. Riggs says next week he is going to destroy Kurt Angle. FADE TO BLACK

March 17, 2007 St. Patrick's Day Shenanigans
Opening Bout: MAPW Tag Team Title Match Natural Born Thrillers (Sean O'Haire & Mark Jindrak) defeated Asp Evergreen & Eddie Chavez (/w Joanie Laurer) by pinfall when O'Haire pinned Eddie after a Seanton bomb at 8:52 [Natural Born Thrillers win the MAPW Tag Team Titles] -Wow, normally MAPW doesn't open with a match of this importance never mind a title switch of well established champions, but 12 minutes into the telecast and we have new tag team champions. It was a pretty even match with both teams having turns in control but Jindrak took out Laurer from behind. Asp went over to check on her, and as he applied mouth to mouth she pulled him on top of her in a Roman-Greco liplock. This left the NBT in the ring to double team Eddie and that was all it took. New champions!!! Promo; Adam Riggs comes to the ring accompanied by April Hunter. She is all decked out for today's St. Patrick's day celebrations, but he still has a sour look on his face. Riggs] Shut up you bunch of mid-western hicks and listen closely to the God of pro wrestling talk...SHUT-Up...stick your dildos back in your mouth and listen to me *********. Chris Champion, is not here today, and you have me to thank for that, I made sure he couldn't get here. Ha-Ha. So any orders or matches, other then that freak fest we just watched, that were sent down by the executive committee will never be known. So, as your MAPW champion and commissioner I will set the rest of the matches for the evening. The crowd jeers, but April claps for her man. Riggs] You know I remember when MAPW made a big night out of St. Patrick's Day and the Hall of Fame, but this year I don't see any big deals. That's because it's now more worried about catering to fags and ragheads then they are to us established groups like micks and wops. Don't deny it, you all think St. Patrick's day is great, get drunk and act Irish, as if that's all the Irish are known for. You want to know what else the Irish are good at? Destruction. Whether its the IRA killing people, or Adam Riggs decimating the chumps in the ring, we destroy things good. So, there will be no more celebration of St. Patrick's day here tonight, that is racist, tonight will be about celebrating the Overlords. The fans boo Riggs as he takes a deep breath, fondles April Hunter's ass. Riggs] Yeah, you ***** think...oh shut up, don't worry about it *****, its called tape delay and censorship...so ***** ********* **********, oh did you blush lady? Yeah right you ***** *******. Anyway, you fruits think that there is a wedge driven in to the Overlords and are waiting for it to implode us, well that ain't going to happen. You see this week we held an Overlords resort, some group therapy, a group hug..actually we just ******* the hell out of April and Dana, and I always go first. Yeah, think about that tonight losers as you jack off. Riggs] Well tonight, is going to be a celebration of the Overlords not St. Paddy, and each and every match will feature one of our esteemed members...oh yeah and some of the Overlords who don't have members, right April? Jazz.. Riggs pauses as the fans cheer the mention of Jazz who showed up last week in MAPW. Riggs] Paddle back to the amazon Jazz, but before you do that you can step into the ring tonight and take on Dana Hamm. And your special guest referee will be April Hunter, the MAPW Women's champion. Sam Holiday you keep sticking your nose into our business well tonight that ends, as you step into the ring with Dan Severn...oh and no Holiday legdrops, its going to be AWA rules...no throwing anyone over the top rope, and no coming off the top rope. Billy Kermit no more ducking away in the pond, it may be nice to be green, but tonight you will face my protege, the next great TV champion, Trent Arion!!! The Stalk needs to step up and prove himself, so what better way then to face a former champion, Petey Williams. I'm betting Stalk will break one of Petey's chicken legs and keep him out of my face, he's like an annoying fly. I'd swat him and end it but I don't want to touch him because I don't know who's **** he's been eating. Now, our semi-main event for the night...get ready for this one peasants...will be Brandon Myers taking on that old loser Robert Blaze Gayley...and listen closely ***** as it will be a LOSER LEAVES TOWN.....no wait, Bob, don't go yet...yeah your a loser but i meant you have to lose the match first before you go off and try and **** Kimberly Page while her husband watches again. The fans begin a "go home* chant that Riggs ignores. Riggs] And finally the main event for the evening...the one you've all been wating for..I'm no chicken **** champion, so I will be putting the title on the line, the MAPW Heavyweight title against KURT ANGLE... The fans errupt Riggs] Yes..you love me...you really, really love me...I just want to thank the academy...now listen up, Brock Lesbian...stay out of this one. I don't know what your deal is yet, but it can wait. Let me take care of Kurt Cobain...oh wait that's a different druggie...let me take care of Kurt Angle then we can figure out you later. Now bow down fruits as the God or Pro Wrestling goes backstage and prepares for his heavyeight title defense. The announcers comment on Chris Champion being missing, but how Riggs has set up some exciting matches for tonight including the monster main event. Tolbert asks though that if the Overlords are so united again, then where were they? purplediv.jpg
Bout #2 Special guest referee: April Hunter Dana Hamm defeated Jazz by disqualification for abuse of official at 4:30 -Hamm was clearly overmatched by Jazz in this match, and the predictable happened when Hunter refused to make the 3-count. Jazz then attacked Hunter drawing the DQ. Hunter and Hamm tried to beat down on Jazz after the match but they were the ones routed from the ring. Interview: Jazz is welcomed to MAPW by Pamela Paulshock saying finally there is a woman as tough and butch as April Hunter who might...Jazz takes offense to the comments and nails Paulshock with a DDT, drawing a nice ovation from the crowd. Bout #3 AWA Rules [No throwing over the top rope, no coming off the top buckle] Dan Severn defeated Sam Holiday by pinfall after a German suplex and a foot on the bottom rope at 12:46 -Severn controlled Holiday on the mat, and when Holiday tried to brawl. Where Holiday managed to grab control though was working over the knee of Severn. Holiday hit the Holiday leg drop, but only from the second rope, and Severn managed to kick out. Holiday went for it again but Severn rolled out of the way. Severn went to work on Holiday, nailed a German suplex, and used the bottom rope for leverage undetected by referee Tony Zerucha to pick up the win. Interview: Joe Aiello is drawing double duty (both Champion and Paulshock are out) as he leaves the announce table to interview Dan "the Beast" Severn. Aiello presses Severn about the status of teh Overlords, but the Beast refuses to be drawn into that, instead talking about his victory, and about how his protege the Stalk will beat up on Petey Williams. Finally though Severn is harrassed enough by Aiello and does say that Riggs just made up the whole thing about them being on the same page, and having met this week, he says he hasn't heard two words directly from Riggs all week. Bout #4 MAPW Television Title Match Billy Kidman defeated Trent Arion by pinfall after a shooting star splash at 7:08 [Billy Kidman retains the MAPW TV Title] -the unlikely reign of Kidman continues, as he controlled more of this match then did Arion and got competent officiating from recent hall of fame inductee Buddy Lane. [end of first hour] purplediv.jpg
Bout #5 Petey Williams defeated The Stalk by pinfall after a Canadian Destroyer at 11:27 -Stalk controlled early with a ground and pound game but couldn't put the former champion away, who seemed to gain back some of his spunky never say die attitude. Williams rallied and Stalk made the mistake of trying to chain wrestle with him and Williams hit his signature move out of the blue to pick up the win. Promo; Adam Riggs comes out to the ring unannounced. He grabs a mic, and is furious. He says he is sick of these Overlords not being able to take care of business. He tells Myers he better win this match or he's gone. Petey Williams returns to the ring to confront the man who took his title, Adam Riggs. Riggs catches Williams with a kick to the groin, then nails a jack knife powerbomb, climbs to the top and hits the Phenomenal Performance on Williams. Bout #6 Loser Leaves MAPW Match Robert "Blaze" Bayley defeated Brandon Myers by pinfall after a Blaze Bomb at 17:51 [Brandon Myers is out of the MAPW] -extremely hard fought match that saw both men busted wide open. Referee Buddy Lane looked to stop the match at one point, but decided against it because of the Loser leaves MAPW stipulation. Myers wrestled the last 10 minutes of the match with one arm, the other apparently damaged after being put through a table, and now just hanging limply at his side. He put up a good fight, almost ending it after a single arm DDT, but with only one arm he had trouble later trying to lock in a sharpshooter. Bayley was able to kick Myers off and then took the brawl outside the ring once again, where he dominated. Back inside Bayley hit his finisher to pick up the win. purplediv.jpg
Main Event MAPW Heavyweight Title Match Adam Riggs defeated Kurt Angle by disqualification for outside interference at 7:30 [Adam Riggs retained the MAPW Heavyweight Title] -Riggs attacked Angle before the opening bell, driving him into the corner. After laying in some hard knees he wrapped Angle's arm around the ringpost several times. Wasting no time to make it brutal Riggs dragged Angle outside the ring and stomped away at the arm, banged it off the ringsteps, and then gave him a hammerlock slam. Back inside Riggs taunted the crowd, wasting time, and sure enough it allowed Angle to start a comeback. After some exchange of punches Angle scooped underneath the 300 pound Riggs, into an Angle Slam!! He covered, and got 1, 2, foot on the ropes. Angle worked over Riggs but couldn't put the champion away, and couldn't get the ankle lock on either. The Irish thug reversed things in a hurry with a huge clothesline, and then stomped viciously away at the head of Angle. Dragging him out of the ring again he set him up for a jacknife powerbomb on the announce table, but Angle managed to counter it by flipping Riggs off the table!! Both men were down, and referee James Beard allowed them as much time as they needed before crawling back into the ring. Angle caught Riggs with a German suplex, a clothesline, and a double underhook suplex. He looked on the verge of winning when Brock Lesnar hit the ring!!! The fans boo'd as they smelled a screwjob finish, and James Beard held off as long as he could to try and keep the match alive and to try and keep Lesnar from getting engaged. But Lesnar tossed Beard aside and..chose..to spear Kurt Angle!!! The fans boo'd...but then Lesnar turned around and pointed at Riggs that he was next. Dan Severn, Trent Arion, and the Stalk swarmed into the ring. Lesnar speared Arion, and the protege was knocked out of the ring. Severn grabbed Lesnar but he still managed to kick Stalk in the thigh, hiptoss Severn, suplex Severn, and toss him out of the ring. Stalk however grabbed Lesnar from behind and put him into a cobra clutch. As Riggs taunted Lesnar, Angle recovered and entered the ring only to be clotheslined out by Riggs. Severn and Arion entered the ring once again, and Stalk let go of the cobra clutch, with Lesnar falling flat on his face. The Overlords made a perimeter around Lesnar, and April Hunter and Dana Hamm now joined outside the ring cheering on their male counterparts. Riggs indicated to leave this to him, and as the others took a step back, Riggs pulled Lesnar up by the chin. Riggs and Lesnar went nose to nose for a couple seconds before Riggs whipped him right into Severn. Lesnar rocked Severn with a clothesline, and then the arena went ballistic as Riggs blindsided Stalk. Lesnar worked over Severn while Riggs worked over Stalk. Unsure what to do Trent Arion tried to go after Lesnar but the Brock was able to fight off both Severn and Arion, while Riggs was absolutely decimating Stalk. Outside the ring Dana Hamm climbed the apron to get into the ring, but April Hunter pulled her off, and then slammed her head first into the ring steps. The fans in the arena, and the announcers Joe Aiello and Linldy Tolbert were all just going nuts, trying to figure this all out. As the show winds down, it became apparent that the Overlords had not imploded but rather exploded in violence, and some sort of new allegiance between Brock Lesnar and Adam Riggs has been formed. March 24, 2007
The show opens with a review of the end of last week's show. Brock Lesnar breaking up the title match between Adam Riggs and Kurt Angle, followed by Lesnar and Riggs' shocking allegiance, and turning on the rest of the Overlords. Opening Bout: Sean Waltman defeated Mentallo by pinfall after a spinning heel kick at 5:33 -easy victory for Waltman, who has been quiet as of late in the MAPW. Promo: Chris Champion comes to the ring. He apologizes to the crowd for not making it last week, but for some reason that was unclear at the time he was forceably removed from an airplane he was attempting to board. Now Champion says it all makes sense, he was set up by Adam Riggs and possibly Brock Lesnar. Well tonight, the shoe seems to be on the other foot. Champion says he is here, but there is no sign of Adam Riggs, Brock Lesnar, or April Hunter. But he's sure they are listening so the orders he has received from the executive committee are simple; show up next week for their matches as set by MAPW or be suspended indefinetly. Bout #2 MAPW Television Title Match Billy Kidman defeated Jerry Orth by pinfall after a shooting star press at 8:07 [Kidman retains the MAPW TV title] The match started with Kidman offering to shake hands with Orth, but being waved away instead by the former Spinebuster. This led to some early tempers flaring that otherwise may not have happened. It was a hard hitting match that was even throughout. But during the last minute Kidman turned it up a notch, quickened the pace and went aerial. It was obvious that Orth could not match this and Kidman pulled out the victory. After the match Orth stopped Kidman from leaving the ring and offered a handshake. Kidman accepted and the men embraced briefly before leaving the ring. Bout #3 Dustin Rhodes defeated Yoshi Tajiri by pinfall after a roll-up and a handfull of tights at 6:20 -No real compelling reason to have these two rulebreakers face off against each other, but they did, and it wasn't pretty. The end came when Tajiri tried to blow green mist into the face of Rhodes, but he saw it coming and put up his hands to block it, then rolled up Tajiri, and cheated his way to victory with a handfull of tights. Interview: Dan Severn and The Stalk are interviewed about the dissolution of the Overlords. Severn says this isn't done yet, that he will square things with Adam Riggs as soon as the coward shows his face again. Bout #4 Dan Severn & The Stalk defeated Sam Holiday & Javier Reyes by pinfall when Severn pinned Reyes after a release German suplex at 9:43 -some old scores being settled here, but Reyes could not get his revenge. [end of first hour] purplediv.jpg
Interview: Rena Mero is interviewed by Pamela Paulshock, and Mero says she has no idea why Brock has formed a team with Riggs, and that she knew nothing about it. She's close to tears, and seems to be heartbroken. Bout #5 Jazz defeated Rena Mero by submission to a full nelson at 5:56 -Mero was overmatched in this one, and maybe a little distracted by Lesnar's actions last week, abandoning her. Interview: Jazz challenges April Hunter to a match next week for the MAPW Women's Title. Chris Champion comes out and informs Jazz that match has been set. Bout #6 MAPW Tag Team Title Match NBT: Sean O'Haire & Mark Jindrak defeated Asp Evergreen & Eddie Chavez (/w Joanie Laurer) by pinfall when Jindrak pinned Evergreen after a double underhook DDT at 8:03 [Natural Born Thrillers retain the MAPW Tag Team Titles] -NBT controlled more of this match then the ex-champions but the real story is that Chavez walked out on Evergreen leaving him alone and at the mercy of the tag champs. Eddie had been arguing with Joanie who seemed to be pressing him to enter the ring and break up punishment being dealt to Asp. Eddie was refusing and trying to ignore Joanie, but finally his temper got the better of him. The two argued and as a result Chavez wasn't in the corner when Asp finally had a chance to tag. Eddie grew so frustrated with Joanie that he left the ringside area. His partner was double teamed and pinned less then 30 seconds later. Main Event Winner to Receive a Shot at Whatever Title They Want Next Week Four Way Match Trent Arion defeated Petey Williams, Kurt Angle, and Blaze Bayley by pinfall when Arion pinned Williams after hitting him with a twisting neckbreaker from the top rope at 11:55 -the biggest underdog in this match was Arion, both green and not sure of his future after what happened with the Overlords last week, but he stepped up and scored the biggest victory in his young career. After being the receiver of double teams for most of the early goings, he finally got his chance to win the match when tempers flared between Angle and Bayley. With those two fighting it out, Arion managed to finish off Williams. Post-Match: Kurt Angle and Blaze Bayley manage to patch things up between the two of them. Trent Arion's voice is picked up by the broadcast shouting that he's coming for Adam Riggs, his former mentor next week! FADE TO BLACK

Promo: BREAKING NEWS ON THE STATUS OF MAPW Chris Champion comes to the ring. He says he has some very exciting news, but also some bad news. First the exciting news is that Mid-American Pro Wrestling will be undergoing some changes. First off we have for the first time we have picked up a National TV contract to broadcast Rage weekly, Saturdays from 9-11 EST, on the new TBA Network. As part of this agreement and to reflect the growth of the company, this wrestling enterprise which started in January 1980 as River City Wrestling, out of Salisbury Elementary School in Winnipeg Manitoba, is going to be renamed American Pro Wrestling. It's not meant as a slap in the face against middle america but just to appear as not a regional fed when advertised for the new TV contract. That's the good news. The unfortunate news is that because of that deal the current syndication deal has fallen through. Tonight will be the last night of Mid-American Pro Wrestling. We will go dark for the longest period ever, as the next event will be the first APW broadcast on TBA, on June 2nd. Now on to more current events, and tonight's final broadcast. Adam Riggs will be defending his title against Kurt Angle one more time, and there will be no interference from Brock Lesnar. <<< cue "Phenomenal" by LL Cool J >>> The fans are on their feet jeering as Adam Riggs, April Hunter, and Brock Lesnar make their way to the ring. Chris Champion immediately bails out of the ring and goes to stand beside the announce table. Riggs] Yeah, yeah...shut up you bunch of ******. Go ***** your Moms you bunch of redneck inbred hicks. Hopefully this change will mean that we will be able to compete in some higher class cities like New York, LA, Las Vegas, or Miami. It would be nice to see a fans smile with a full set of teeth again. Hey Champion...you want me to step into the ring and defend against Angle? Screw you Champion...why don't I defend this title against you Ha-Ha...you were once a wrestler who thought he was better then he really was, so why don't you step into the ring with me. Are you scared ***** *******. Champion] You want me to step in the ring with you? I've been retired for almost a decade now. I'm the most dangerous man to ever step in the squared circle, but I can't carry a whole match anymore. I tell you what ***** for brains, let's make it a tag team match. You and your girlfriend there...no not April...Brock Lesbian...against me and Kurt Angle! What do you have to say to that goof? Riggs] You're on...you just signed your death certificate little man. Opening Bout: Sylvestor Terkay defeated Bryce Ridgon by pinfall after a reverse chokeslam facebuster at 3:39 -squash match, marks the premiere of Terkay in MAPW Bout #2 Nigel McGuiness defeated Petey Williams by pinfall after the Tower of London at 9:01 -very entertaining match, both men can really wrestle. The end came only after Nigel was twice able to avoid the Candian Destroyer, and then nail his own finisher. Bout #3 MAPW Women's Title Match April Hunter and Jazz battled to a double countout at 6:09 [April Hunter retains the MAPW Women's Title] -Hunter never really seemed to want this match to come to a conclusion, and appeared to be working at either a double countout or getting herself disqualified. Finally Jazz couldn't control herself any longer and allowed her title shot to disappear by getting into a prolonged brawl that saw both ladies counted out. Interview: Former MAPW Tag Team Champions Asp Evergreen and Eddie Chavez come to the ring along with Joanie Laurer. Asp confronts Eddie about why he left him last week, and now they are no longer champs having lost to the Natural Born Thrillers. Eddie says he was fed up with Joanie's interference and telling him to go in and save Asp. Eddie says she was asking him to cheat and he got mad. Asp goes on about their friendship, and we see a few seconds of their many comical clips together. Eddie looks like he is almost ready to cry. He apologizes to Asp, says he is sorry and only wants the chance to make ammends and to get the tag titles back. He admits to being jealous that Asp and Joanie have hooked-up, and that she hadn't appreciated his skills. Eddie says he's over that now and is ready for the Six man mixed tag match next. Bout #4 Joanie Laurer, Asp Evergreen & Eddie Chavez defeated Dana Hamm, Sean O'Haire, and Mark Jindrak by pinfall when Laurer pinned Hamm after a double underhook piledriver at 10:35 -The new tag champs NBT didn't seem to be on their game today, and Laurer was a house on fire compared to Hamm. Post-Match: After a short celebration, Eddie takes the mic and warns the NBT that they are coming to get their titles back. But suddenly Asp just hangs his head and looks ashamed. Taking the mic he turns to Eddie and says "your my best friend in the world, and I'm sorry to spring this on you like this, but I'm leaving MAPW for a while". Eddie is speachless and waits for an explanation. Asp drops the bombshell that he and Joanie are getting married! Asp says he wants Eddie to be his best man, and the ceremony will be hold on June 2nd right here on Rage, and then he intends to retire from pro wrestling. This will be the first time in the 27 year history of the company where we have a wrestling marriage. Eddie accepts and shakes hands with Asp, and hugs Joanie. [end of first hour] purplediv.jpg
Bout #5 MAPW Television Title Trent Arion defeated Billy Kidman by pinfall after the second rope crucifix slam at 8:54 [Trent Arion wins the MAPW TV Title] -Arion was very strong in this match, controlling most of it and the tall and thin native of New York city deserved the victory and the title. Bout #6 Robert Blaze Bayley defeated Dan Severn by pinfall after an inside cradle at 12:06 -these men have fought many times over the past 10 years and it didn't take long for the anger to explode. Severn had Blaze where he wanted him but Bayley shook off some of Severn's attacks, and fired back running on pure adreneline. He gave Severn a hotshot off the top rope, a flying crossbody block, and then an inside cradle to pick up the win. Main Event Kurt Angle & Chris Champion v Adam Riggs & Brock Lesnar (/w April Hunter) Angle started the match off against Lesnar, as Riggs refused to step into the ring unless he could get Champion. Angle went to work on Lesnar immediately grabbing an advantage and then tagging out to Champion. The smaller man went to work on Lesnar with some Savate kicks, a scissors kick, forearm uppercuts, and then a rolling thunder. He went for the pin but Lesnar pressed him off easily. Lesnar then shot on Champion and took him down. He worked a front facelock, and then a front layout suplex before tagging in to Riggs. The Irish thug stalked Champion and seemed to enjoy every second of it. Champion though caught him by surprise with a leg whip and managed to roll over and tag in Angle. Kurt and Riggs went toe to toe, with the Irish thug coming out on top. The action spilled outside where Riggs got Lesnar to help him with a double team. This brought Rena Mero out, and she went right after Brock jumping on his back. April Hunter dragged her off. When Champion came over Hunter surprised him with a forearm uppercut followed by a Frankensteiner. Champion lay on the mats not moving. It was now 2-on-1 inside the ring with Lesnar and Riggs putting the hurt on Angle. Riggs had him set up for the Phenomenal Performace, but Angle rolled out of the ring and Riggs crashed onto the mat. Lesnar went after Angle with a clothesline outside the ring, then went for the F5 but Angle fought his way out, driving Angle into the ringpost. He got distracted though as April Hunter was hurting Rena Mero with the hangman. Riggs recovered and nailed Angle with a plancha!! Back inside it was elementary now for Riggs. Champion finally showed signs of life but Hunter took him out from behind by clipping his knee. Riggs hit the Phenomenal performance and the pin, 1, 2, 3 !! Adam Riggs & Brock Lesnar defeated Kurt Angle & Chris Champion by pinfall when Riggs pinned Angle after the Phenomenal Performance at 9:03 Post-Match: As Adam Riggs, Brock Lesnar, and April Hunter celebrated inside the ring, Kurt Angle checked on the injured Chris Champion and Rena Mero outside the ring. As we... <<< cue "Won't Get Fooled Again" by the Who >>> The announce team go nuts. That music can mean only one thing..one man. Joe Aiello suggests that its an April Fool's day joke being played a day early. Linley Tolbert asks if anyone knows if he's even out of jail yet. Kurt Angle stars in amazement as the music has a profound impact on Chris Champion who just sits straight up when it starts. Inside the ring Riggs and Lesnar are slack jawed. Can it be? Is Jack Larkin back? FADE TO BLACK
