River City Wrestling #718 March 7, 1998 Winnipeg, Manitoba
Hour #1
Opening Bout Joe E. Legend (/w Mercedes) defeated Mark Schrader by pinfall after a Legend cutter at 3:25 **squash match
Bout #2 The Pharaoh defeated Earthquake Ferris by pinfall after a DDT (after throwing sand in his eyes) at 4:42 **premiere of Ferris, not the Earthquake (John Tenta) from WWF, this one is in his mid 30's, 6'6 305 lbs., a big boy. Pharaoh was having trouble with his opponents size, and premiered tonight another method of cheating, borrowing a page from Mr. Saito's playbook, but instead of salt he used sand (because he's a Pharaoh).
Bout #3 Sexton Hardcastle defeated Pierre Oulette by pinfall after a missile dropkick at 5:57 **tag champion in singles action
Bout #4 Christian Cage defeated Adam Knight by pinfall after an inverted DDT at 5:30 **the other tag champion in singles action
Hour #2
Pre-Match: Commissioner Nick Bockwinkel has relented and if Hennig and Rhodes want to compete in the men's tag division after beating Duncan Duncan & Borro the Butchers' son last week, albeit with a move that only worked because they were females, then he is going to allow it. So tonight they have a #1 contenders match but Bockwinkel found it difficult to find a tag team willing to fight against the girls. Schrader & Matthews were given the chance and they refused, and a couple teams from outside the territory also turned him down including Ricky Rice & Derrick Dukes, and the Destruction Crew. However, he did find a team to come in from the PWA/WWA on loan from John Fredrickson's organization; and they are unconventional to say the least.
Bout #5 #1 Contender Match Flaming Freak & Richard Odom defeated Becky Hennig & Daisy Rhodes by pinfall when the Freak made Hennig submit to the clawhold while licking her face at 4:02 **I don't even want to describe this travesty of a match. The Freak and Odom lived up to the Freaks name.
Post-Match: The Freak and Odom continued to assault the girls, and had Rhodes on a table, and while Odom climbed to the top buckle the Freak held her down on the table, choking her and licking her face. This brought out the tag champions Hardcastle & Cage, but the Freaks were waiting for this. As the champs slid into the ring the challengers were on them. Odom jumped Cage, and Freak caught Hardcastle with a lowblow and then slammed him through the table after pushing Rhodes to the mat.
Bout #6 North American Women's Title Match Madusa Micelli defeated Runaway Jane by pinfall after a Northern lights suplex at 7:40 [Madusa Micelli retained the North American Women's Title] **competitive match as Jane has come a long way. No sign of Kixxx, and referee Jennifer Greaves called it right down the middle.
Main Event RCW Television Title Match Hysteria and Nikolai Kishka battled to a no-contest at 6:42 [Hysteria retained the RCW Television Title] **very even match, nothing was decided as the heat took the match outside and after the two began to throw chairs at each other referee Buddy Lane threw out the match.

St. Patrick's Day Shenanigans & Hall of Fame Announcement
Hour #1
Opening Bout Doc McMartin defeated Adam Knight by pinfall after a running boot to the head at 6:04 **Premiere of McMartin who not oddly looks exactly how he sounds, complete with big boots. Knight actually controlled more of the bout then McMartin but the ending came quickly.
Bout #2 Mixed Battle Royal **competitors could be eliminated by being thrown out of the ring, didn't have to be over the top Nikki Kixxx (eliminated herself after fending off advances from Leprechaun and Irish Car Bomb) at 2:39 Mascarita Sagrada and Irish Car Bomb eliminated each other when ICB jumped on MS' shoulders, and they backed against the ropes and both went through at 5:12 Runaway Jane eliminated by Hennig & Rhodes when they tossed her over the top rope at 6:37 Tzuki eliminated by Hennig & Rhodes when they tossed him over the top rope at 8:20 Daisy Rhodes eliminated by Leprechaun after a drop toe hold at 9:36 Becky Hennig eliminated by Leprechaun using a back body drop at 10:51 [Leprechaun wins the Mixed Battle Royal at 10:51]
Bout #3 Earthquake Ferris & William "The Refrigerator" Perry defeated The Pharaoh & Joe E. Legend (/w Mercedes) by pinfall when Perry pinned Pharaoh after a splash at 6:37 **The 'Fridge made his RCW debut, as a special attraction and did not disappoint the crowd. The size advantage of the faces was just too much for the heels.
Hall of Fame Announcement The Hall of Fame Committee (Stan Mullen, The Destroyer, Chris Lyon, Mike Valiant, Jim Brunzell, Tawney England) came to the ring and newest members Brunzell and England did most of the talking. The 11th entry into the Hall of Fame never held the RCW Heavyweight Title, but he is a 2 time RCW Tag Team champion, and a Heritage Title holder. As well he helped organize the wrestlers and shows from backstage, helped mentor many of the up and comers, and is a former commissioner of River City Wrestling. The committee is proud to announce that the newest entrant into the Hall of Fame is the very popular Baron von Raschke!! He will be inducted in April. And that is all the people need to know!
Hour #2
Bout #4 RCW Television Title Match Hysteria defeated Nikolai Kishka by submission to a leglock at 4:49 [Hysteria retained the RCW Television Title] **Rematch after a no-contest brawl last week. Hysteria controlled the first couple minutes but Kishka made a strong comeback. Then he flipped over the back of Hysteria when the champ telegraphed a back body drop, and landed funny. His legs went out from under him and he was in a lot of pain. Hysteria gingerly put Kishka in a simple leglock and the challenger submitted before the hold was even cinched in. After the bout Kishka was removed on a stretcher.
Bout #5 RCW Tag Team Title Match Sexton Hardcastle & Christian Cage defeated The Flaming Freak & Richard Odom by disqualification for use of a foreign object at 7:47 [Sexton Hardcastle & Christian Cage retained the RCW Tag Team Titles] **the champs controlled most of the bout, but instead of taking a clean loss the Freak and Odom decided to bring a table into the ring and set it up in the corner. They were quickly disqualified but it ended up being the challengers not the champions who were put through the table.
Main Event RCW Heavyweight Title Match Masa Chono defeated Vendetta by pinfall after an overhead suplex (and a handful of tights) at 12:40 [Masa Chono retained the RCW Heavyweight Title] **this bout had a PPV feel, or a heavyweight boxing match. The introductions were a bit longer, music infused, and more complete then a usual episode. They also introduced all the former greats on hand; The Destroyer, Chris Lyon, Mike Valiant, Jim Brunzell, Tawney England, and Nick Bockwinkel. Vendetta started strong, then the match went outside the ring. Back inside the champ worked over the legs of Vendetta with a series of leglocks, stomps, and then an Indian death lock. Vendetta battled back with his back to the ropes and buckle for support. The match went outside the ring again, and the ref Buddy Lane gave them a lot of leniency. Back inside Vendetta went to work with a running elbowsmash, scoop slam, spinebuster slam, and an STF. Chono battled back with some chops, kicks, an arm capture suplex, and an armbar. Vendetta took over again, climbed to the top and came off with an armbreaker, then a chickenwing. Chono went for a rake to the eyes, some elbows, a kneedrop from the second buckle, then hit the overhead suplex, got 1, 2, Vendetta tried to kick out but Chono stopped the momentum by grabbing the tights and got the 3. Many of the former champs who were sitting ringside were up in arms and complaining, some to Chono, some to the ref, and some to Bockwinkel. But Chono got the win and escaped with the title.

River City Wrestling #720 March 21, 1998 Winnipeg, Manitoba
Hour #1
Opening Bout Vendetta defeated Adam Knight by pinfall after a jumping DDT at 4:41 **fairly easy match for the former champion.
Bout #2 Manny Silva defeated Joey Matthews by pinfall after a wheelbarrow suplex at at 5:36 **this too was a fairly easy match for a former champion.
Post-Match: Nick Bockwinkel announces that although champion Masa Chono's win over Vendetta last week was tainted, he still won. Now that Silva is back from injury, the two of them, Vendetta and Silva, will meet next week in a #1 contenders match for the RCW Heavyweight Title.
Bout #3 Doc McMartin and Pierre Oulette battled to a double disqualification at 4:54 **nothing settled in this one.
Bout #4 Mixed Tag Match Becky Hennig & Daisy Rhodes defeated Leprechaun & Irish Car Bomb by pinfall when Rhodes pinned ICB after a powerbomb at 6:05 **the Dwarfs gave it their best effort but they came up short.
Hour #2
Bout #5 #1 Contenders Triangle Match Nikki Kixxx defeated Runaway Jane and Barbie Wired by pinfall when Kixxx pinned Wired after a spinning heel kick at 7:15
Bout #6 #1 Television Title Contenders Match The Pharaoh defeated Earthquake Ferris and Joe E. Legend (/w Mercedes) by pinfall when Pharaoh pinned Legend after a moonsault at 8:37
Main Event Streetfight RCW Tag Team Title Match Sexton Hardcastle & Christian Cage defeated The Flaming Freak & Richard Odom by pinfall when Cage pinned Odom after putting him through a table (and outside interference by Becky Hennig and Daisy Rhodes) at 8:20 [Sexton Hardcastle & Christian Cage retained the RCW Tag Team Titles] **Champions controlled early, the challengers kept wanting to bring tables into play. Finally the challengers had an advantage, and had both champions laid out on the table in the ring, as the challengers were both poised on the top buckle. From the back came Becky Hennig and Daisy Rhodes, pushing the challengers, causing them to crotch themselves. The Freak fell off to the floor below but Odom hung on. However, Cage and Hardcastle recovered, and together gorilla press slammed Odom through the table and then Cage made the pin.

River City Wrestling #721 March 28, 1998 Winnipeg, Manitoba
Hour #1
Opening Bout Barbie Wired defeated Heather Kennedy by pinfall after an Ape Hanger at 3:36 **glorified squash match
Bout #2 Joe E. Legend (/w Mercedes) & Eric Freedom defeated Joey Matthews & Mark Schrader by pinfall when Freedom pinned Schrader after a flying shoulderblock (the Freedom Missile) at 5:57 **Freedom makes his return to RCW, but unlike last time when he was cheered by the crowd, this time he has aligned himself with Legend and was willing to break the rules and take short cuts to win.
Bout #3 Runaway Jane defeated Daisy Rhodes after a piledriver at 5:48
Bout #4 Nikki Kixxx defeated Becky Hennig by pinfall after a spinning heel kick at 4:21
Hour #2
Bout #5 Pierre Ouelett & Adam Knight defeated Doc McMartin & Earthquake Ferris by pinfall when Ouelett pinned Ferris after a Senton Bomb at 6:09 **good win for this team that seemed to have just been thrown together when they both arrived in RCW around the same time.
Bout #6 RCW Heritage Title Match Hysteria defeated The Pharaoh by pinfall after a top rope moonsault at 9:00 [Hysteria retained the RCW Heritage Title] **Pharaoh is a solid challenger for Hysteria but came up short this time. He tried to throw sand into the face of the champ at one point, but the Lucha kicked him in the hand and made him drop it. Pharaoh tried to step away and slid on the stand making him an easy target for the champ's savate kick. 30 seconds later the champ was hitting his finisher and picking up the win.
Main Event #1 Heavyweight Contenders Match Vendetta defeated Manny Silva by pinfall after a jumping DDT at 11:34 **another solid match between two of RCW's all time greats. Silva seemed to be nursing a knee injury which has kept him out for a few weeks. Vendetta didn't necessarily target the knee but it limited Silva's mobility and move set. Silva worked a lot of moves on the mat, but hesitated when going for a suplex when his knee buckled, and took Vendetta down to the mat with a front facelock instead. In the end Vendetta got stronger as the bout progressed while Silva got weaker. Vendetta nailed a series of chops, a whip to the buckle with a back bodydrop, a running legdrop, and then his finisher.
