River City Wrestling #694 September 6, 1997 Winnipeg, Manitoba
Hour #1
Opening Bout Enigma defeated Koko B. Ware by pinfall after a standing moonsault (with his feet on the ropes) at 4:50 **tainted victory for El rudo luchadore by using his feet on the ropes to make sure of the pin.
Bout #2 Craig Pittman defeated EZ Ryder by submission to the code red at 4:01 **glorified squash match
Bout #3 Alexandra Beres defeated Catherine Nolan by pinfall after a powerslam at 3:32 **Beres is still finding her way in the ring and was handled early by Nolan. However her natural athleticism came through and she caught Nolan going for a cross bodyblock and turned it into a powerslam.
Bout #4 Hysteria defeated Bobby Duncum Jr by disqualification for abuse of official at 5:55 **Hysteria brought out every trick and cheat he could to frustrate the more straight forward Texan. Finally Duncum became so frustrated not only with Hysteria but with the ref who tried to hold him back when he was going to leave the ring to get at Hysteria. So Duncum threw the ref over the top rope in a form of a tope and he landed right on Hysteria. Of course that got him disqualified, but the spot brought the fans to their feet in cheers.
Hour #2
Bout #5 RCW Tag Team Title Match IronWorx: Brick Bronsky & Doug Flex (/w G.Q. Flex) defeated The Extremists: Ace Darling & Devon Storm by disqualification for use of a foreign object at 7:11 [Ace Darling & Devon Storm retained the RCW Tag Team Titles] **much like the previous match tonight, the newly named "IronWorx" team cheated, including the use of their manager G.Q. Finally after a ref bump that saw the challengers devastate both champs with double team powerbombs Darling returned to the ring with a steel chair laying out all 3 of IronWorx, but was seen and DQ'd.
Bout #6 RCW Television Title Match Bermuda Triangle Match Joe E. Legend (/w Oshean) defeated Robbie Royce and Mistress Gloom by pinfall when Legend pinned Gloom after a Legend cutter at 6:42 [Joe E. Legend retained the RCW Television Title] **the thought may have been after last week's mixed tag match that Legend would be in big trouble if Royce and Gloom teamed up. Well that team up lasted about 30 seconds until Gloom took an opportunity to legwhip Royce from behind. After that it was every man and woman for themselves. The end came when Royce was recovering after Gloom nailed him with a piledriver, and as Gloom got up she was nailed by the champ with the cutter. Royce's efforts to get to his feet to break up the win were nullified by Oshean who reached in and held onto his leg.
Main Event RCW Heavyweight Title Match Bermuda Triangle Match Manny Silva defeated Tito Santana and Kevin Northcutt by pinfall when Silva pinned Santana after a wheelbarrow suplex at 10:24 [Manny Silva retained the RCW Heavyweight Title] **The first five minutes of this bout were tough for the champ as Santana and Northcutt kept double teaming him. However, neither would allow the other the win, and they would turn and fight each other, but as soon as the champ was back they would immediately double team him. Finally Silva took a powder and sat at the announce table until Santana and Silva took notice. They left the ring and we had a 3 man brawl outside the ring. Silva managed to come out on that on top. Back inside the ring he worked over Northcutt and every time Santana would try and get back in the ring Silva would nail him back to the floor. However, fighting on two fronts he could not get enough time to win the bout outright. Frustrated the champ tossed Northcutt out of the ring and grabbed Santana back inside. Tito though had a short spirited comeback. When Northcutt tried to join the fight he was grabbed by Bobby Duncum Jr who appeared from the back. Northcutt and Duncum fought outside the ring, as they had some unfinished business, and inside Santana was distracted. This was all Silva needed as both Tito and the ref watched outside the ring the champ nailed Santana with a low blow, then nailed his finisher and picked up the win.

River City Wrestling #695 September 13, 1997 Winnipeg, Manitoba
Hour #1
Tonight we have the annual battle royale, where the winner will get a title shot on September 27th against Manny Silva. In addition to the regular roster of RCW stars we have also brought in former CFL great recently turned wrestler, Glenn Kulka to compete. Also returning are former RCW tag champions (Top Guns) Ricky Rice and Derrick Dukes. In the past we have done random drawing tag team matches before the battle royale, starring the participants. This year instead commissioner Jim Brunzell has played matchmaker and put together some intriguing tag matches. All 20 participants will compete in a preliminary tag match.
Opening Bout Tito Santana & Koko B Ware defeated Vance Nevada & Nikolai Kishka by pinfall when Santana pinned Nevada after a flying forearm smash at 6:12 **premiere of Russian Nikolai Kishka in RCW. The youngster comes in at 6'0 250 lbs, is a bit of a bulldog but also knows his wrestling. A bit of Nikita Koloff or maybe the Tasmanian Devil in style. Kishka acquitted himself well in this but but his partner Nevada turned out to be the weak link.
Bout #2 Hysteria & Derrick Dukes defeated Enigma & Rick Rice by pinfall when Hysteria pinned Rice after a triple moonsault at 5:05 **former lucha partners face off against each once again, but also the Top Guns were broken up. Judging by Rice's bad attitude and cheating in this bout this was by design as they seem to have a difference in philosophy these days.
Bout #3 EZ Ryder & Glenn Kulka defeated Robbie Royce & Elmwood Brawler by pinfall when Kulka pinned Royce after a gorilla press slam at 4:40 **matchup of two face tag teams. Ryder carried most of the bout but Kulka came in and used him impressive 6'3 275 lb frame to finish off the much smaller Royce.
Bout #4 Kevin Northcutt & Bobby Duncum Jr. defeated Joe E. Legend & Craig Pittman by pinfall when Duncum pinned Pittman after a running bulldog at 6:34 **Northcutt and Duncum have a mini-feud going right now, but they seemed to put it aside and act professionally for this bout; which was bad news for Legend and Pittman. After the bout it looked like the winners would then square off against each other, but decided to hold on and save it for the battle royale.
Hour #2
Bout #5 RCW Tag Team Title Match The Extremists: Ace Darling & Devon Storm defeated IronWorx: Brick Bronsky & Doug Flex (/w G.Q. Bronsky) by pinfall when Darling pinned Flex after a double team flying cross bodyblock at 8:04 [Ace Darling & Devon Storm retained the RCW Tag Team Titles] **possible blow off match for this short feud. The champs took it up a notch with this bout, going back to the quick tags, double teams, and high flying moves. It almost cost them though when Darling came off the top for a crossbody but Flex caught him mid-air. But before the challenger could do anything Storm followed his partner to the top, and came flying off, onto his partner, which drove Flex to the mat. Storm also scrambled to his feet to neutralize Bronski who was attempting to come in and break up the pin. Solid win for the champs.
Main Event 20-Man Battle Royale: Winner Gets Heavyweight Title Shot order of elimination (time) (who eliminated them) 20. Elmwood Brawler (Nevada, Royce) 2:08 19. Enigma (Kulka) 3:36 18. Doug Flex (Kulka, Ryder, Darling) 4:10 17. Ace Darling (Ryder, Bronsky) 4:21 16. Derrick Dukes (Rice) 5:18 15. EZ Ryder (Santana, Duncum) 5:30 14. Robbie Royce (Nevada, Kishka, Ware) 6:57 13. Vance Nevada (Legend) 7:13 12. Hysteria (Rice) 8:50 11. Devon Storm (Bronsky, Pittman) 10:09 10. Koko B. Ware (Northcutt, Duncum) 10:45 9. Tito Santana (Northcutt, Duncum) 11:14 8. Ricky Rice (Kulka, Kishka) 12:35 7. Joe E. Legend (himself - accidentally) 13:01 6. Craig Pittman (Kulka) 13:04 5. Nikolai Kishka (Kulka, Northcutt, Bronsky, Duncum) 14:47 4. Brick Bronsky (Northcutt, Duncum) 15:05 3. Kevin Nortcutt (Kulka) 15:14 2. Glenn Kulka (Duncum) 16:20 Winner: Bobby Duncum Jr.

River City Wrestling #696 September 20, 1997 Winnipeg, Manitoba
Hour #1
Opening Bout Mistress Gloom defeated Alexandra Beres by pinfall after a piledriver (and her hands on the ropes) at 4:08 **Beres continues to improve every week, but still had trouble with the more experienced and larger Gloom. However, Gloom's victory was still tainted because after delivering a piledriver she did a pin by kneeling on the shoulders of Beres, but used the ropes for leverage (unseen of course by the ref).
Bout #2 Hysteria defeated Caveman Broda by pinfall after a standing moonsault at 1:35 **squash match
Bout #3 Nikolai Kishka defeated Koko B. Ware by pinfall after a jumping spinning leg lariat at 5:31 **impressive win for newcomer Kishka. Ware's run in RCW has not been stellar.
Bout #4 EZ Ryder & Glenn Kulka defeated Brick Bronsky & Doug Flex (/w G.Q. Bronsky) by pinfall when Kulka pinned Bronsky after a powerbomb at 8:12 **impressive win for the newly paired Ryder/Kulka team. Ryder tried for a powerslam earlier in the bout but did not have the size and power to nail it. This prolonged the bout but Kulka showed that even if he did not have the show muscles of his opponents he was still very capable of going into beast mode.
Hour #2
Bout #5 North American Women's Title Match Barbie Wired defeated Deep Blue by pinfall after the Ape Hanger at 5:09 [Barbie Wired retained the North American Women's Title]
Bout #6 RCW Television Title Match Joe E. Legend (/w Oshean) defeated Tito Santana by countout at 6:50 [Joe E. Legend retained the RCW Television Title] **not what you would call a fast paced bout. Santana lost in the end because as he tried to get back into the ring, Oshean held on to his leg and prevented him from beating the 10 count. Santana ended up accidently kicking Oshean right in the face. He felt terrible and tried to help her up only to have Legend attack him from behind. The post match beatdown was on, until Koko B. Ware came out to make the save.
Main Event Kevin Northcutt & Bobby Duncum Jr defeated Manny Silva & Craig Pittman by pinfall when Northcutt pinned Pittman after a double underhook piledriver at 10:17 **the relationship between Northcutt and Duncum is a strange one. At times they have been at each other's throats, like two alphas, two lone wolfs, but at other times they have been able to co-exist as a tag team. Pittman was the weak link in this bout but heavyweight champ Silva couldn't get anything going in this bout either, and tried his best not to get locked up with Duncum ahead of their title bout next week.

River City Wrestling #697 September 27, 1997 Winnipeg, Manitoba
Hour #1
Opening Bout Craig Pittman defeated Elmwood Brawler by submission to the code red at 3:12 **glorified squash match, Pittman gets back into the win column.
Bout #2 Enigma defeated Robbie Royce by pinfall after a shooting star press at 5:26 **Another rulebreaker gets a much needed victory to stay relevant.
Bout #3 Alexandra Beres defeated Mistress Gloom by pinfall after an inside cradle (with a handful of tights) at 4:41 **Gloom controlled most of this rematch after her tainted victory last week. This time after hitting the piledriver she went for the pin using the ropes again. This time not only did the ref see the cheat but got angry and was lecturing Gloom. This allowed Beres to crawl over and wrap up Gloom. As Gloom tried to get out of the pin Beres grabbed the tights. It was unclear whether it was just instinct or intentional.
Bout #4 Kevin Northcutt defeated Hysteria by pinfall after a double underhook piledriver at 5:30 **this was an important match in the pecking order of the title picture. Hysteria was on fire and kept the bigger Northcutt off balance. However, in the end Northcutt was able to turn a flying headscissors attempt into a powerbomb, then nailed his finisher for a quick ending.
Hour #2
Bout #5 Joe E. Legend & Nikolai Kishka defeated Tito Santana & Koko B.Ware by pinfall when Legend pinned Santana after the Legend Cutter at 8:05 **Koko had a tough match, spending quite a bit of time playing Ricky Morton. However it was Tito that took the loss, when Legend hit his finisher out of the blue. Kishka continues to impress.
Post-Match: A frustrated Koko helped Santana to his feet but then began to argue with him. Santana was dumb founded but not about to back down. Finally Koko nailed a low blow on Tito and then a rocker dropper. He laid the boots down on Tito a few times before leaving.
Bout #6 RCW Tag Team Title Match Ace Darling & Devon Storm defeated EZ Ryder & Glenn Kulka by submission when Storm submitted Kulka with the figure-four at 8:30 [Ace Darling & Devon Storm retained the RCW Tag Team Titles] **Kulka was a monster but Ryder got controlled easy and then later Kulka got controlled as well. Storm and Darling are a slick combination. Kulka though was on a roll at the end of this bout between two fan favourite teams. However, he missed a running knee and wrecked himself against the ring post. Darling and Storm went right after it with kneesmashes from the top rope, then locked on the figure four and forced the big guy to tap out.
Main Event RCW Heavyweight Title Match Manny Silva and Bobby Duncum Jr battled to a no-contest at 6:46 [Manny Silva retained the RCW Heavyweight Title] **This was not a wrestling match, it was a brawl. There were no pin attempts made just brawling, in and out of the ring. Silva was getting the upper hand, and the ref looked like he was going to throw it out, and then Kevin Northcutt hit the scene and went after Silva. But Duncum didn't appreciate the interference and it turned into a three way brawl.
