Hour #1
Opening Bout Mistress Gloom defeated Catherine Nolan by pinfall after a piledriver at 3:51
Bout #2 Deep Blue defeated Allie Myles by pinfall after a frankensteiner at 2:36
Bout #3 Robbie Royce & Elmwood Brawler defeated Vance Nevada & Jason Yakimow by pinfall when Brawler pinned Yakimow after a bolo punch at 5:53
Bout #4 Streetfight Vendetta defeated Lewis O'Day in a streetfight by 10 count at 10:24 **blow off match for the feud. Typical streetfight including the action spilling in the crowd. Lewis O'Day broke the bank by dumping an entire concession boy's Cokes all over Vendetta. O'Day made the mistake of uncovering all four buckles, wasting a lot of time. A couple minutes later it was a slingshot into that buckle by Vendetta that knocked O'Day out. Vendetta nailed his jumping DDT just to make sure but it looked like O'Day was already out cold.
Hour #2
Bout #5 RCW Tag Team Title Match The Extremists: Ace Darling & Devon Storm defeated Thug Life: Joe E. Legend & Steele by pinfall when Darling pinned Steele after "The Extreme" (double team slingshot catapult/missile dropkick) at 7:05 [Ace Darling & Devon Storm retained the RCW Tag Team Titles] **once again the Extremists prove they are the better tag team, if not the better individuals.
Bout #6 North American Women's Title - Bermuda Triangle Match Barbie Wired, Emma Bezzlerr, and Deep Blue battled to a no-contest at 7:36 [Barbie Wired retained the North American Women's Title] **the match got totally out of control, and nothing was settled, except some bad blood was created between Deep Blue and Barbie Wired.
Main Event RCW Heavyweight Title - Bermuda Triangle Match Stan Lane defeated Greg Valentine and Kevin Northcutt by pinfall when Lane pinned Valentine after a superkick at 10:48 [Stan Lane retained the RCW Heavyweight Title] **this particular three way match saw a ton of time with one guy against one guy while the third guy was knocked out. Northcutt was more physical then the other guys, taking on both at one time and smashing their heads together at one point. The end came when Valentine put Northcutt into a figure-four, but before he could get the submission Lane recovered and delivered a superkick to the side of Valentine's head. Lane climbed on Valentine for the win, and Northcutt tried to get untangled but couldn't manage it, so Lane got the 1, 2, 3.
Post-Match: Northcutt argued with the ref, and then Jim Brunzell came down to the ring. Northcutt argued that he was on top of Valentine's legs so technically he was pinning Valentine as well. No decision was rendered as we went off the air.
That's it for another edition of River City Wrestling. See ya next week!

Hour #1
Opening Bout Vance Nevada defeated Darcy McGee by pinfall after a missile dropkick at 4:01
Bout #2 Deep Blue defeated Mistress Gloom by pinfall after a twisting moonsault at 4:47
Bout #3 #1 Contenders Match Hysteria & Enigma defeated Robbie Royce & Elmwood Brawler by pinfall when Hysteria pinned Royce after a Mexican Facebuster at 6:30 **the pair of Mexican luchadores are clearly the #1 contenders, much better then the throw together team they faced.
Bout #4 Joe E. Legend defeated Vendetta by pinfall after hitting him with brass knuckles at 8:09 **Legend seemed to be overmatched, but some frustrating hide and seek, cheating, and when that didn't work he resorted to a ref bump and then brass knuckles for a tainted victory.
Hour #2
Bout #5 North American Women's Title Emma Bezzlerr defeated Barbie Wired by countout at 6:15 [Barbie Wired retained the North American Women's Title] **Wired controlled more of the bout then Bezzlerr, but when the brawl spilled outside Bezzlerr threw Wired head first over the announce table, and she collided into the guardrail. The challenger took the countout win but not the title.
Bout #6 RCW Television Title Match Ben Bassarab defeated Steele by pinfall after an inside cradle at 7:50 [Ben Bassarab retained the RCW Television Title] **Bassarab controlled the majority of the first 5 minutes of the title fight. Steele made a comeback, but after a 2 count he decided to argue with the ref which allowed Bassarab to crawl over, roll him up and get a fast count victory. Steele was not happy with the way it went down and gave the ref a push. Bassarab tried to intervene but that is what Steele was waiting for and nailed him with a mule kick then went to work on him; pretty much guaranteeing him a second crack at the title.
Main Event RCW Heavyweight Title Match Stan Lane defeated Kevin Northcutt by pinfall after a superkick at 14:13 [Stan Lane retained the RCW Heavyweight Title] **Despite being a heel one has to admire that all Northcutt wanted was a fair fight, no interference, just a slobberknocker. The champ was quite willing to give that to him, and this was a great match. Lane started with a stick and move attack, and then some standing side headlocks where Northcutt would try and push the champ off, but Lane would just hold on. Lane hip tossed Northcutt to the mat, and tried to drop an elbow but the challenger raised his knees into the champs gut. Northcutt stayed on the mat and worked an armbar, before standing it up, and levelling the champ with a short arm lariat. He then picked up the champ and nailed a pumphandle slam. Northcutt reached down for the hair of the champ but Lane pivoted and kicked Northcutt in the chin, then took him down with an armbar. Northcutt stood it up, pinning Lane's shoulders to the mat but the champ refused to release the hold, lifting a shoulder. Finally Northcutt was able to walk the champ to the ropes and got a break. But instead of a clean break Northcutt began to stomp away at the champ, and then boot choke him. He then kicked the champ out of the ring and went right after him. The challenger tossed him into the ring apron a couple times punishing his back. After rolling him inside the ring he punished Lane with a couple bodyslams, then stomps to the back, and then he bent him over his knee after a backbreaker to try and get a submission. Northcutt released the move and went for his double underhook piledriver but Lane powered Northcutt backward to the buckle. He then nailed him with shoulders to the gut. Lane tried to whip the challenger out of the corner but Northcutt reversed it, sending Lane face first into the buckle. He nailed an inverted DDT and got a 2 count. He tried to just cover him two more times but each time Lane lifted a shoulder. Northcutt tried for a double knee smash but Lane lifted his own knees. Lane then put on a figure-four but Northcutt was able to get to the ropes. Lane was going for his superkick finisher but Northcutt held onto the ropes and Lane stutter stepped. Northcutt charged the champ for a clothesline but Lane took him down with a drop toe hold. Lane picked up Northcutt and nailed a belly to back suplex, then a second belly to back suplex, then nailed his finisher, and got 1, 2, 3!!

River City Wrestling #680 July 19, 1997 Winnipeg, Manitoba
Hour #1
Opening Bout Robbie Royce defeated Vance Nevada by pinfall after a missile dropkick at 4:59 -two long time enhancement talents in RCW, but both can work a good match and got the crowd going.
Bout #2 Bermuda Triangle Match Catherine Nolan defeated Jane Dirt and Allie Myles by pinfall when she pinned Dirt after Myles hit her with a diving headbutt at 3:31 -Myles took Nolan out with a flying crucifix, knocking her out of the ring. She then went to the top and nailed Dirt with a diving headbutt. But when she was too stunned to make the cover, Nolan slid into the ring and covered the prone Dirt.
Bout #3 Mixed-Tag Match Joe E. Legend & Emma Bezzlerr defeated Vendetta & Barbie Wired by pinfall when Legend pinned Wired after a Legend cutter at 5:03 - Legend is really proving himself to be a grade A a-hole.
Bout #4 Kevin Northcutt defeated Greg Valentine by pinfall after a double underhook piledriver at 8:18 -very good match, with the fans actually behind Northcutt who has proven himself to be a tough, lone wolf. Northcutt exacted his revenge for what he saw as Valentine's interference costing him the heavyweight title.
Hour #2
Bout #5 RCW Tag Team Title Match The Extremists: Ace Darling & Devon Storm defeated Hysteria & Enigma by disqualification for use of a foreign object at 5:06 [Ace Darling & Devon Storm retained the RCW Tag Team Titles] **not happy with the way the match was going the luchadores took a coordinated slide out of the ring, then slid back in with steel chairs. All four men battled with the chairs and the champs once again sent the challengers scrambling out of the ring.
Bout #6 RCW Television Title Match Ben Bassarab defeated Steele by pinfall after a flying crossbody block at 7:12 [Ben Bassarab retained the RCW Television Title] **good outing for the TV champ, still trying to recover a bit from the stigma of having Kevin Northcutt just walk out of his TV title challenge.
Main Event RCW Heavyweight Title Match Manny Silva defeated Stan Lane by pinfall after a wheelbarrow suplex at 12:!8 [Manny Silva won the RCW Heavyweight Title] **pretty big upset as Silva came back from his suspension, and Lane wanted a chance to exact revenge. Unfortunately for the champ he did not get his revenge, instead he lost his title which he had held since September 1996. A 10 month run is a pretty good run with any title in RCW. Silva begins his second title run (his first one was back in 1993), the 42nd title run in RCW Heavyweight Title history, and ended Stan Lane's 3rd title run (only Jim Brunzell has held the title on 4 occasions). The match was very even, it went back and forth, in and out of the ring. Lane seemed to try to win by wearing down the challenger, and using a figure-four, but Silva would not quit. The challenger continually went to the throat of the champ and by the end of the bout you could see bruising and the champ was having problems breathing. Lane went running into the corner to splash Silva, but the challenger moved out of the way causing Lane to smash his solar plexes off the buckle. He grasped at his throat and seemed to have knocked the wind out of himself. This made him easy pickings for Silva with a knee lift, a piledriver, and then his finisher. The crowd was not happy with this result at all!!

Bout #2 Robbie Royce & Elmwood Brawler defeated Jeff Fox & Jason Yakimow by pinfall when Brawler pinned Fox after a bolo punch at 5:23
Bout #3 Vendetta defeated Joe E. Legend by countout at 6:02 **Legend was all but beat, finally, by Vendetta. Instead of losing like a man though Legend too a countout.
Bout #4 North American Women's Title Match Barbie Wired defeated Emma Bezzlerr by pinfall after the Ape Hanger at 6:34 [Barbie Wired retained the North American Women's Title] **a good, clean victory for the champ. The women's division is in need of a make over.
Hour #2
Bout #5 RCW Tag Team Title Match - Bermuda Triangle Match The Extremists: Ace Darling & Devon Storm defeated Hysteria & Enigma and Ben Bassarab & Biff Wellington by pinfall when Storm pinned Wellington after a DDT at 9:24 [Ace Darling & Devon Storm retained the RCW Tag Team Titles] **A big surprise for fans when Ben Bassarab brought out his former tag partner who held the RCW tag titles three times together. Wellington has had some health problems so his in-ring appearances have been slim the past couple of years. Three men were legal at all times, one from each tag team. Wellington didn't spend too much time in the ring and when he did he was double teamed by Storm and Enigma. However, Storm got the drop on Enigma after the two had double teamed Wellington, and then hit a DDT to finish things.
Main Event RCW Heavyweight Title Match Best 2 out of 3 Falls Manny Silva defeated Stan Lane 2 falls to 1 [Manny Silva retained the RCW Heavyweight Title] **Silva attacked Lane before the match started, but Lane was ready for him. After some fisticuffs though Silva got the advantage and was relentless and risked DQ by refusing to break chokes, and constantly punching Lane with closed fists. Finally Lane countered by pushing Silva into the corner and going after him. The two then took it outside the ring and threw each other around. Back inside Lane nailed a superkick to the chin of Silva and got the first fall. [Stan Lane won the first fall by pinfall after a superkick at 7:33] **Lane went right after Silva, trying to capitalize, but Silva snuck in a low blow. The new champ then went after Lane with bodyslams, backbreakers, hanging vertical suplex, and then got a 2 count after a piledriver. Lane though battled back and looked like he was closing in on getting the title back. But for the second time in the fall Silva snuck in a lowblow. This time he follows up first with a Samoan drop, then his finisher. [Manny Silva won the second fall by pinfall after a wheelbarrow suplex at 13:03] **the third fall got totally out of hand, as the two battled in and out of the ring. They threw each other into everything they could. The ref did his best not to toss it out, each man dropping something (Silva his title belt) , Lane (the ring bell) instead of using it and getting DQ'd. Finally however it was Lane who could not hold off any longer after getting choked by Silva. Lane grabbed a steel chair and smashed Silva over the head and got disqualified. [Manny Silva won the third fall by disqualification for use of a foreign object at 17:45]
