River City Wrestling #586 October 7, 1995 Winnipeg, Manitoba
Opening Bout Robbie Royce defeated Caveman Broda by pinfall after a flying headscissors driver at 3:34 **just an opening act
Bout #2 Rick Martel defeated Phillip Navarre by submission to the figure-four at 12:22 **tremendous match for early in the show. Lots of emotions, and Martel brought out his bag of tricks. In the end Navarre went for his coup de grace but Martel moved, and Navarre wrecked his knee into the corner. Still, Navarre did not technically submit, he could not respond to his arm being raised and dropped three times.
Bout #3 Giant Warrior (/w Cory Everson) defeated Manny Silva by disqualification for use of a foreign object at 8:43 **brutal, violent match between two rulebreakers. Warrior ended up busting Silva open outside the ring, which set the Hawaiian off. Silva used a steel chair on Warrior, several times, and then also used it on Cory Everson.
Bout #4 Special Tag Team Match Jesse Hennig & Larry "the Axe" Hennig defeated Ben Bassarab & Stu Hart by pinfall when Larry Hennig pinned Bassarab after an elbowsmash at 10:55 **Stu wasn't really in physical shape to wrestle so Bassarab had to carry the mail. It worked for a while but when the bad guys clued in and started to double team Bassarab and throw Hart around, things came apart. After the bout when Jesse tried to go after Stu Hart though, Larry told him enough was enough, and the two left the ring.
Bout #5 North American Women's Title Match Pamela Principal defeated Cory Everson by countout at 8:18 [Pamela Principal retained the North American Women's Title] **the women's scene is getting a bit stale. Everson though was hampered in this bout because of her chair shot earlier from Silva. She came in wearing a large bandage. She became disorientated and off balance, and in the end couldn't make it back into the ring to beat the count.
Bout #6 RCW Tag Team Title Match Destruction Crew: Mike Enos & Wayne Bloom defeated Chi Chi Cruz & Eric Freedom by pinfall when Enos pinned Bloom after a doomsday device at 10:10 [Destruction Crew retained the RCW Tag Team Titles] **the only real drama in this one was the effect of not having Cory Everson in the corner of the tag champs after her apparent head injury after the last bout. Despite that the tag champs are experienced and had little problem with the challenge. Hard to know who could possibly beat them at this point.
Bout #7 RCW Heritage Title Match Nick Mercury defeated Keywon Grant by pinfall after a swinging neckbreaker at 11:32 [Nick Mercury retained the RCW Heritage Title] **solid match between two fan favourites. Grant started strong, then Mercury took over, and finally Grant took the last portion of the bout. Grant was closing in on the win with some high kneelifts, a flying forearm smash, but when he went for a cobra clutch Mercury countered with his own swinging neckbreaker (looking out of gas and running on instinct). He basically fell on Grant and got the win.
Main Event RCW Heavyweight Title Match Stan Lane defeated Jim Brunzell by disqualification for use of a foreign object at 15:50 [Stan Lane retained the RCW Heavyweight Title] **this bout went back and forth, and while Lane did his fair share of cheating for the most part it was hard fought but decent. However, the end came after a ref bump when Lane produced a pair of brass knuckles and tried to hit the challenger. Brunzell though kicked him in the gut, suplexed him, and then took the brass knuckles off. Although he never used them the ref woke up and saw Brunzell with them, and Lane laid out, and called for the bell.

River City Wrestling #587 October 21, 1995 Winnipeg, Manitoba
Opening Bout Peter Strongbow defeated Caveman Broda by pinfall after a double tomahawk chop at 3:53 **the human punching bag loses...again
Bout #2 Rick Martel defeated Robbie Royce by submission to the Boston crab at 6:11 **a bit of a step down in opponent for Martel after beating Navarre, and after progressing quite far in the battle royale. Maybe just biding his time to break through. Had very little problem with Royce. Even the fans who cheered for him as the AWA champion can not stand his arrogant ways now.
Bout #3 Giant Warrior & Cory Everson defeated Chi Chi Cruz & Eric Freedom by pinfall when Warrior pinned Cruz after a chokeslam at 8:44 **the strange saga of Cory Everson continues. It seems like her marbles were scrambled a couple cards back and she hasn't got them all back yet. This was supposed to be a handi-cap match with her as managing Warrior, but she insisted in joining it and making it a tag match. She then proceeded to refuse to tag in and let Warrior do all the work. During a double team of the Warrior though she came into the ring, grabbed Cruz by the long hair and threw him to the ground. She then straddled him and pummeled him until Warrior got her to break before being DQ. After that it was all Warrior and he finished off Cruz in about a minute.
Bout #4 Manny Silva defeated Phillip Navarre after a wheelbarrow suplex at 7:02 **a very impressive outing for Silva against the very tough Frenchman Navarre. Silva seemed more concentrated then he has since returning to the RCW. After the win he simply left the ring to a chorus of boos, with a big smile on his face.
Bout #5 Last Bout Ben Bassarab defeated Jesse Hennig by pinfall after a diving crossbody block at 17:50 **it was made known, and contractually signed, that this would be the last bout between these two regardless of the outcome. It was time for both men and RCW to move on. It was a back and forth slugfest as could be expected, in and out of the ring. Bassarab controlled a long stretch of bout around 5 minutes while he worked over the back of Hennig but could not get a submission. Hennig made the mistake of exposing a turnbuckle (that move never seems to work out) and of course ended up getting flipped head first into it. Bassarab then climbed the top buckle and came off with his finisher to pick up the win. Great feud, but most would agree the better man walked away with the final victory.
Bout #6 RCW Tag Team Title Match Nick Mercury & Keywon Grant defeated Mike Enos & Cory Everson by pinfall when Mercury pinned Everson after a swinging neckbreaker at 9:03 **Cory Everson subbed for Wayne Bloom [Destruction Crew retained the RCW Tag Team Titles] **O.K., this is a confusing one. It was supposed to be of course Enos & Bloom but like earlier in the night Cory Everson insisted on subbing in for Wayne Bloom. The Crew were not happy about it, the ref wasn't happy about it, but Mercury & Grant must have been licking their chops. The match went as you would expect with Everson being exposed. Bloom tried to do a run in but was headed off by Grant. The challengers celebrated their apparent title win...but then out came the Commissioner Baron von Raschke. The bearer of bad news. The by-laws do not allow such substitutions so while Mercury & Grant won the match, they can not win the tag titles. No one was really happy about anything at this point.
Main Event RCW Heavyweight Title Match Baron von Raschke at ringside Jim Brunzell defeated Stan Lane by pinfall after a flying dropkick at 13:13 [Jim Brunzell Won the RCW Heavyweight Title] **Based on the shenanigans of the last bout and what happened last time these two hooked up, the commissioner Baron von Raschke decided to remain at ringside as part observer, and part enforcer. At one point early in the bout Manny Silva came down to watch as well, but the Baron sent him to the back. Lane controlled early and despite a couple short lived comebacks it really seemed like Brunzell could gain no traction. But things picked up around 9 minutes into the match, the pace picked up, some nasty shots were exchanged, and Brunzell had the fans on their feet. A pair of flying elbowsmashes, some biels, sunset flips, slingshot suplex, and then his dropkick finisher..1.2.. Kickout. Lane tried to escape but Brunzell brought him back into the ring but was fed a back elbow. Lane put Brunzell in position for a piledriver but the challenger countered with a sunset flip. Brunzell hit his finisher again and this time got the 1, 2, 3!! New champion as Jim Brunzell begins his 4th title reign.

River City Wrestling #589October 28, 1995 Winnipeg, Manitoba **All Ladies - Halloween Edition** Opening BoutKele Ward pic defeated Mia Finnegan pic by submission with the Boston crab at 6:35**Finnegan is a bodybuilder/fitness competitor and this was her first pro wresting match, which she lost to the popular Ward. Bout #2Emma Bezzlerr defeated Angela Dawn pic by submission to the torture rack at 4:19**another quick and solid win for the mean German built like a fire hydrant. Post-Match: Emma Bezzlerr in very broken English announced that not only would she be at the 16th Anniversary show but her two fellow German associates will also be coming; A.C. Crual and The Actuary. Bout #3Kelly Gallant pic defeated Shannon Meteraud pic by pinfall after a flying bodyblock at 5:55**Gallant has started to develop some skills, while this was Meteraud's first match (another entrant from the bodybuilding/fitness world). Both women wrestled it clean and shook hands after the bout. Bout #4Mistress Gloom defeated Julie Fulkerson pic by pinfall after a tombstone piledriver at 7:28**Fulkerson has turned into a pretty darn good grappler, but Gloom is a powerhouse with some serious inner rage. This match dragged on a bit longer then it should of because Gloom was dishing out punishment trying to get Fulkerson to submit. This was also a return bout as they had previously fought to a double countout. Bout #5#1 Contenders Match - House of Horrors - NO DQJeanne Basone pic defeated Cory Everson Cory Everson by pinfall after a Kendo stick flying kneedrop at 10:36**following the Halloween theme, there were 4 metal cages set up, fastened to each corner. So they could be used to inflict damage even by just whipping your opponent into one. There was also a ladder in the ring and a kendo stick suspended that could be reached from the ladder. The ladder was also used to inflict damage. Basone managed to throw Everson off the ladder sending her to the ground below. She then retrieved the kendo stick and although the match went on for several more minutes despite Basone using the kendo stick on the head of Everson, drawing blood. Both women ended up using both the ladder and the kendo stick to inflict pain. In the end Basone bodyslammed Everson onto the ladder, nailed a flying kneedrop driving the kendo stick into the head of Everson, and picked up the big win. Post-Match: As Everson climbed through the ropes, she lost her balance and fell to the ground below. She tried to get up, stumbled, and passed out. EMT's came out and took her out on a stretcher to a hushed crowd. Bout #6 Mid-West Women's Tag Title MatchApril Cummings & Dana Dodson pic defeated Tammy Rief pic & Tami Kim pic by disqualification for use of a foreign object at 10:09[Rief & Kim retained the Mid-West Women's Tag Title Match] **first time we had seen this tag title being defended (and the first we heard of it). Fairly even match, with the champs actually seemingly getting the better of the challengers. However, as soon as the momentum turned later in the bout the champs decided they should take the easy way out, grab chairs, and get disqualified while having some sadistic fun at the same time. Main Event North American Women's Title Match Pamela Principal defeated Eternity pic by pinfall after a schoolgirl at 14:24
[Pamela Principal retained the North American Women's Title] **Principal had her work cut out for her against the 6'0 Nubian machine who went right after the champ at the opening bell. The challenger banged the champ's head off the turnbuckles repeatedly, then locked in a front facelock and kept lifting her up as if trying to guillotine her head clear off. Finally the champ reversed things and got the challenger to the mat where she kept her down, showing her well developed mat skills. Eternity though has long legs that seem to go on for, well eternity, and used them to put the champ in scissors. Eternity acted like a Boa constrictor trying to cut off the champ's air and maybe even crack her ribs. Finally the champ got a rope break and fired back with some kicks to the midsection before exploding out of the corner with a clothesline. She then climbed to the second buckle and came off with an elbowsmash to the head. The challenger teetered but did not fall so the champ came off the top buckle with an elbow and knocked the challenger down. She then worked an arm and head scissor until the challenger managed to get to her feet and put the champ in a pinning predicament. The challenger nailed the champ with a clothesline, she got back up, clothesline, she got back up, clothesline attempt, countered with a crucifix, countered with a Samoan drop, for a 2 count! The challenger worked a rear chinlock, snuck it down to a choke, then hit a hanging vertical suplex for a 2 count. Off the ropes, clothesline, boot stomp, boot choke, throw the champ out of the ring. Three times the champ tried to get back inside each time knocked off. The Fourth was a charm thanks to snapping the challenger throat first off the rope. Climb to the top rope and enter the ring with a missile dropkick, 1, 2, foot on the ropes. A series of go behinds, drive the challenger to the buckle, countered by holding on, champ backward somersault, ducks under a charging clothesline, challenger turns around and is monkey flipped into the corner, rolled up with a schoolgirl for the 1, 2, 3!! Impressive match for the champ who has come a long way in a short time as a pro wrestler! Announced So Far for the 16th Anniversary Spectacular! Saturday, December 9th 1995 Winnipeg Convention Centre Winnipeg, Manitoba
