Opening Bout
Dave Levinsky defeated Caveman Broda after a superplex at 5:40
**the new curtain jerker beats the old curtain jerker
Bout #2
Chi Chi Cruz defeated Jerry Lynn by pinfall after a Northern Lights Suplex at 7:08
**a big upset. Cruz was last seen in RCW as a fan favorite, and while the match started clean it didn't take long for Chi Chi to start cheating, surprising both Lynn and the fans. Lynn though came back and had the match in hand until Diamond Timothy Flowers came down and tripped up Cruz. This allowed Cruz to hit his new finisher and pick up a huge upset win.
Bout #3
Destruction Crew: Mike Enos & Wayne Bloom defeated Vance Nevada & Robbie Royce by pinfall when Enos pinned Royce after a Wrecking Ball at 9:46
**the fact this match took almost 10 minutes flattered the team of Nevada and Royce, as they were controlled for 95% of the match. The Crew obviously are the #1 contenders for the tag titles and await the winner of tonight's tag title match.
Bout #4
Vampiro Canadienese defeated Brad Rheingans by pinfall after a spinning leg lariat at 8:10
**Vampiro returns after his suspension, and after being beaten from pillar to post for the first 6 minutes by Rheingans, and getting busted open, Vamp made a sudden comeback, nailed an overhead belly to belly suplex, a diving legdrop, and then the finisher. Big win for the freak.
Bout #5
Greg Valentine defeated Damien Demento by submission to the figure four leglock at 9:35
**Valentine started strong, Demento made a comeback, Valentine took back the match, Demento took over after a brawl outside. Demento though, looking for revenge after last card's tag match with Valentine made a big mistake, coming off the top rope with a kneedrop. Valentine rolled out of the way, then locked on the figure four on the banged up knee of Demento.
Bout #6
RCW Heritage Title Match
Ben Bassarab defeated Harley Tragger by countout at 11:18
[Ben Bassarab retains the RCW Heritage Title]
**interesting matchup with two fan favorites going at it. The former Heavyweight champion Tragger actually controlled more of the match then the champion, using his size and power to his advantage. Bassarab got his back hurt early while setting up on the second buckle when Tragger drove his shoulder into the champ's back. Tragger then spent most of his time working over the back including two long sequences of bearhug submissions. In the end the match spilled outside, Tragger missed a clothesline that sent him over the barricade into the crowd, which allowed the champ to beat the 10 count and pick up the win.
Post-Match: Vampiro made another unwarranted attack on Bassarab, entering the ring and attacking the champ while his hand was being raised in the air. He delivered a beat down until Tragger came back to the ring to make the save.
Bout #7
RCW Tag Team Title Match
Tommy Jammer & The Trooper defeated Sebastien Rikard & Lenny Thompson by pinfall when Jammer pinned Thompson after the Jammer Slam at 10:45
[Jammer & Trooper retained the RCW Tag Team Titles]
**Basically just the mandatory rematch for the former champions who looked outclassed.
Post-Match: Rikard got mad at Thompson, and the big man tried to shrug him off. But Rikard insisted and spun him around in anger. Thompson finally snapped, kicking, punching, and then choke slamming Rikard to the mat.
Main Event
RCW Heavyweight Title Match
Jim Brunzell defeated Stan Lane by pinfall after a flying dropkick at 18:29
[Jim Brunzell retained the RCW Heavyweight Title]
**another mandatory title rematch. Interesting bout because while it was contested with some vigor for the most part the first 12 minutes were pretty clean. Lane is an accomplished wrestler and concentrating on wrestling instead of shenanigans was able to match Brunzell move for move. However, at around the 12 minute mark during a scuffle outside the ring, Lane was able to throw Brunzell head first into the ring post, splitting him open. From that point forward Lane focused on bloodletting and the head of Brunzell. This seemed to work well but the champ made a short spirited comeback at the end that culminated in him hitting his finisher and holding on to the title.
