August 14, 1993
Winnipeg, Manitoba
Opening Bout
Jerry Fury defeated Dave Pinsky by pinfall after a flying clothesline at 4:17
-enhancement match
Bout #2
Derrick Dukes defeated Eddie Watts by pinfall after a top rope punch at 6:06
-former RCW tag team champion Dukes (one half of Top Gun with Ricky Race) made a triumphant return to RCW.
Bout #3
U.S. Male defeated Billy Two Eagles by submission to the full nelson at 5:40
-premiere for the buff, muscular U.S. Male who looks like a Chippendale Dancer reject. His arrogance did not sit well with the lunch pail attitude of the wrestling crowd.
Bout #4
Sebastien Rikard & Lenny Thompson defeated Harley Tragger & El Diablo by pinfall when Thompson pinned Diablo by pinfall after a big boot to the face at 9:02
-fairly even match but Rikard & Thompson have some chemistry together while their opponents had never teamed before. In the end Tragger was double teamed which then allowed Thompson to finish off Diablo. Looks like the tag team of Rikard & Thompson are still a going concern.
Bout #5
#1 Contenders Match for Heritage Title
Tasmaniac defeated Jerry Lynn by countout at 10:41
-solid match between these two young stars. Lynn preferred an up tempo match and some occasional cheating while Tasmaniac seemed interested in driving Lynn through the mat or the arena floor with every impact move he made. Tasmaniac also put Lynn in an STF, as well as a cross armbar. Outside the ring both men took liberal advantage of the steel barricade including Lynn dropping Tasmaniac on the barricade (crotching him) and then dropkicking him into the crowd. However, inside Tasmaniac regained the advantage when Lynn telegraphed his cradle piledriver finisher and Tasmaniac countered with a backbody drop. The match spilled outside the ring again and Tasmaniac nailed a running boot to Lynn's chest knocking him over the barrier. Tasmaniac then beat Lynn back into the ring to beat the count and pick up the win.
Pre-Match: Commissioner Jim Brunzell came out to announce that tonight the tag champions Kevin Sullivan & Nightstalker were supposed to defend their titles against Brad Rheingans & Mike Lozansky. However, they did not show up and in fact made no effort to show up. It seems their talents can be used elsewhere, so be it. Brunzell says that the titles have been stripped from them. In place of that match tonight Brad Rheingans & Mike Lozansky will face the Super Destroyers. There will be a 7 team tournament next card for the vacant titles. The winner of tonight's match will be the "7th team" and will advance straight to the semi-finals. The other six teams will need to compete in the Quarter-Final round. The losing team from tonight will still get to compete in the tournament but will not get the bye that the winner does to the semi-finals.
Bout #6
Super Destroyers 2000 & 2001 (/w Nick Bockwinkel) defeated Brad Rheingans & Mike Lozansky by pinfall when Super Destroyer 2001 pinned Lozansky after a double clothesline at 12:27
-Lozansky had a spell early in the match playing Ricky Morton until the hot tag was made out to Rheingans. The good guys held the advantage until Bockwinkel came up with a timely distraction which allowed SD 2000 to pounce on Rheingans from behind bouncing his throat off the middle strand. The SD's were once again stymied and frustrated though when they couldn't finish the match off but a brawl outside the ring saw Rheingans tangled up with Bockwinkel which distracted the referee and allowed the masked team to deliver their double team finisher to Lozansky.

RCW Heavyweight Title
Brian Blair defeated Manny Silva by disqualification for choking at 12:16
[Manny Silva retained the RCW Heavyweight Title]
-This was Blair's rematch after winning by reverse decision back in June when Silva tried to choke the life out of Blair. The former Killer Bee went right after Silva before the bell but the champ was ready for him and referee Buddy Lane wisely just stood back and let the two slug it out. Unfortunately for Blair the champion is a bit bigger and stronger and won the first punch up, but then Blair reversed things in the corner and started to kick a hole through Silva. Blair then monkeyflipped Silva out of the corner, slid between his legs and delivered a low blow, and then cradled Silva for a 2 count. Blair went to work with a series of dropkicks, then headscissors. Silva fought back and stomped away, tried to toss Blair over the top rope but Blair landed on the apron, threw a shoulder into Silva, then splashed on him by leaping over the top rope for another 2 count. The two then traded the advantage back and forth including several suplex variations each. Blair nailed a pair of backbreakers and then put a Boston crab on twice to no avail. Worried about losing his belt Silva resorted to what he always does, vicious cheating. He chopped Blair in the throat, then just started to choke him, and ignored the count, until Lane finally had enough, calling for the bell, and then taking matters into his own hands choking Silva from behind! Silva managed to break the chokehold and nailed Lane with a spinebuster slam and then began to choke him out, with Blair still gasping for air. Commissioner Jim Brunzell hit the ring, grabbing a steel chair on his way...but Silva took off before Brunzell could use the chair.
