Men's Quarterfinals "A"
Jerry Lynn  vs  Charlie Norris

Charlie Norris put the exclamation point on his new attitude since turning on Wahoo McDaniel last week. After a ref bump he used a steel chair to knock out Lynn and get the tainted victory.

Dynamite Kid vs Mr. Pogo

This draw was brutal for both men. Even though DK can be a scientific wrestler, when faced with a goon like Pogo he likes to fight fire with fire. This bout was an insane brawl that quickly spread to out of the ring and into the crowd. Both men were busted open and counted out.

Women's Quarterfinals "B"
Stray Kat  vs  Jeannie Adams
Kat controlled early but Adams took over using cheating tactics. Neither woman showed much actual skill. But then Toni Adams came down and slid into the ring and attacked Jeannie. The two of them went at it in a hair pulling, nail raking catfight. Chris Adams came out and with the help of Stray Kat broke the two women apart.
Stray Kat and Jeannie Adams battled to a no-contest at 5:39

Tiffany Brannigan  vs  Kelly St. Croix
Brannigan controlled 90% of this match but couldn't put St. Croix away no matter what she tried. Finally, Brannigan nailed a flying cross body block on st. Croix, but she rolled through it, grabbed a handful of tights and got the undeserved win.

Commissioner Jim Brunzell came down to the ring and said it was not Stray Kat's fault that her match got fallen out, so she should not have to lose her spot in the tournament. While it was not Jeannie Adams' fault either she had it coming for her actions the past while since she came into River City Wrestling. So his ruling is that Stray Kat will get Toni Adams' spot in the first round and that both Adams' girls are out of the tournament.

Men's Quarterfinals "B"
Chris Adams (/w Toni Adams)  vs  The Natural
Adams' is being driven to distraction by his wife and ex-wife. He looked out of sorts all match, losing his temper several times and actually being outwrestled by The Natural. In fact the Natural looked like he would be on his way to a straight victory when of course Jeannie Adams came to the ring. She ignored Toni and started to yell instructions to Chris. When her ex-husband took her instructions he began a big comeback and looked much better. But this didn't sit well with Toni who went over and slapped Jeannie. The two began to fight and Chris left the ring, tried to break them up and got counted out.

Johnnie Stewart  vs  Ben Bassarab
Great paced match right from the opening bell. No rest holds and not a lot of kicks and punches. Lots of suplexes, flying moves, chain wrestling, and finally "Mr. Tournament" himself Ben Bassarab ducked under a flying crossbody, and nailed Stewart with a pair of release German suplexes to pick up the win.

Women's Quarterfinals "B"

Viktoria Ragulin vs K.C. Houston

Two villians facing off so the match included a lot of hair pulling and Ragulin also spanked Houston at one point getting the crowd firmly behind her. In the end though Houston is a bit more experienced and the better athlete and pulled out the victory.

Stray Kat vs Kathy Weathers

Now we had two fan favorites facing off, yet the match quickly turned just as nasty. In fact we had never seen this sort of tactics from the veteran Weathers. In the end though she took a high risk chance for a running kneesmash, Kat moved out of the way, Weathers smashed into the buckle knee first, and Kat rolled her up for the win.

Men's Semi-Finals

Charlie Norris receives a bye

The Natural  vs  Ben Bassarab

The Natural managed to get a hotshot on Bassarab early, and then went after the ribs while Bassarab protected his throat and tried to get his breath back. That would be the story of this match as every time Bassarab exerted himself with high flying moves he had a hard time catching his breath and the Natural would get the advantage back with a mundane move like a knee to the ribs. Bassarab then went to the mat and worked a series of armbars and armbreakers to gain back his breath and momentum. Even though he couldn't get a submission the plan worked and Bassarab gained back control. However after nailing a German suplex and flying headscissors, he went to the top and came off with a crossbody block...but his ribs/side could not take the impact and it seemed to take more out of him then it did the Natural. The underdog went to work on the 5x Tag team champion, and got a 2 count after a DDT, and then had Bassarab in a figure-four for almost 2 minutes. Bassarab though fought back, blocking a kick and nailing the Natural with a spinebuster. He then grabbed the legs of his opponent and slingshot him into the buckle, and followed up with a drop toe hold. Two spinning elbowdrops later and he was climbing the top tope again, but this time he came off with a headbutt (ala his idol Dynamite Kid) and got the hard earned win.

Stray Kat was in over her head against a more talented, bigger, rougher, more experienced competitor. The result was never in doubt.

Men's Final #1 Contender for the Heavyweight Title

Charlie Norris  vs  Ben Bassarab

Norris attacked Bassarab before the bell, and managed to get him all tied up in his warmup jacket. Like a hockey fight he peppered him with shots while Bassarab was unable to see or get his arms free. But Bassarab could see Norris' legs so he kicked him in the shins to get him to back off and took off his jacket. But by then the bigger man had recovered and rocked Bassarab with a clothesline into the corner buckle. Knees to the gut, forearm upper cuts, climb to the second buckle and reign down illegal closed fists to the head. He then pulled Bassarab to the middle of the ring, hit a forearm uppercut, followed by a bodyslam, boot rake of the face, and then a front facelock to slow things down. Norris wore down Bassarab with his weight before Ben managed a comeback. Bassarab came off the ropes slid between Norris' legs, came up behind him and hit a waistlock suplex, didn't release it, got back up, nailed a belly to back suplex. It was all Bassarab for a couple minutes, coming off the ropes, and coming off the second buckle. But then Johnnie Stewart came down to the ring and started to yammer at the ref about a hair pull and a trunk pull, distracting Bassarab who leaned against the ropes. Norris nailed an impressive dropkick and Bassarab flipped over the top rope. Stewart landed a couple kicks while the ref backed Norris away. Kid Gallahad, Bassarab's tag partner, came hobbling down to the ring, obviously still feeling the effects of the damage to his knee from their loss to the Destruction Crew. Gallahad got into it with Stewart, but Stewart put him down with a kick to the injured leg. Bassarab was back on his feet and nailed Stewart from behind, only to have Norris nail him from behind. The ref Jurgen Hermann managed to gain control and get the legal combatants back in the ring and banish the other two to the backstage. Norris had control now and worked over the lower back of Bassarab with several rest holds and back breakers. He went for a Boston crab but was too close to the ropes so Bassarab grabbed the bottom rope. He tried to reapply but Bassarab kicked him into the corner. Bassarab took control now with elbowdrops, kneedrops, clotheslines, flying forearm smash, and a pair of German suplexes. Norris struggled to his feet and never saw it as Bassarab nailed him with a crossbody block off the top rope, but instead of hitting him from the front he nailed him across the back driving him face first into the mat, and got the 1, 2, 3.

Main Event

North American Women's Title Match - Tournament Final

Kelly St. Croix  vs  K.C. Houston

Much to the surprise of the crowd St. Croix actually grabbed an early advantage and held onto it. She showed some of the martial arts moves that Mason Thunder knows as well such as Savate kicks, and a roundhouse kick that she nailed and got an early 2 count. She then went to some blatant chokeholds, smashed Houston's head into the mat a couple times, and then stood on her hair while pulling up on her arms. This was a battle between two villains so the fans reacted to moves but not real cheers. St. Croix after another near 2 count used her silicone assets to try and smother the breath of Houston. Referee Buddy Lane decided that this kind of breath play was not allowed and applied a 5 count, and was jeered by the crowd. Finally Houston got a break, grabbed the waistband of St. Croix and heaved her through the ropes to the floor below. Houston followed her out after a few seconds and the two brawled outside the ring. Lane applied the 10 count but then instead of throwing the match out decided to leave the ring and try and get the two women back inside. Finally order was restored and St. Croix grabbed a side headlock. Four times Houston tried to push her off, each time St. Croix held on. Then St. Croix looked like she was going for a running bulldog, but when her feet left the mat Houston scooped her up and dropped her backward instead. Back on their feet the two women exchanged punches, kicks, nail rakes, hair pulls, everything but recipes. St. Croix nailed a facebuster, and then when Houston got back up fed her a spinning heel kick, she got the 1, 2, foot on the ropes. St. Croix nailed a back bodydrop, 2 count, slingshot suplex, 2 count, top rope elbowdrop...nothing but mat. The two scrambled to their feet, St. Croix went for a clothesline but Houston ducked under, then hit a Reverse Russian legsweep, and an inside cradle, and got the 1, 2, 3.

Untouchable Buster vs Red Bastien Jr

Squash match. Before the match began both Untouchables were out at ringside and put so much intimidation into young Bastien Jr that he was probably beat before the opening bell.

Post-Match: Ice returned to join his partner and they laid the boots into Bastien. The save was made by the return of one half of the former RCW Tag Team champions The Terminators. Terminator Riggs took on both Untouchables and when Bastien joined him they drove the tag team to the back.

Untouchable Ice  vs  Terminator Riggs
A follow up to the opening bout. Buster tried to come down to the ring but was sent away before ever reaching the apron. While that was going on Riggs grabbed Ice and dragged him into the ring and went to town on him. Punches, kicks, bodyslam, elbow drops, bearhug...broken by an earringer. Ice came off the ropes with a shoulder block...neither man budged...repeat with the same results. Riggs' turn, but neither man gave an inch. This then resulted in more fisticuffs, which spilled out of the ring. Back inside Ice went to work, knees to the gut, forearm uppercut, armbar, backbreaker, pin attempt gets 1. He telegraphed a blackbody drop and ate a knee to the head. Riggs went to work with a clothesline, knee drop, a slingshot suplex, and then followed that up with a springboard back elbow from the 2nd buckle to get the win.

Toni Adams  vs  Jeannie Adams

The girls went after each other before the opening bell even sounded. The ref had to order Chris Adams to the back as he is not a licensed manager. While he did that however Jeannie used blatant chokeholds to gain the advantage. One the ref was back she tried to finish off Toni with a sleeperhold that she kept slipping into a choke. Buddy Lane though got wise to it and ordered the break. Jeannie complained and then ate a fist to the face from Toni who then threw her out of the ring. A baseball slide into Jeannie's head as she tries to recover, and then Toni slid outside the ring and threw Jeannie into the guardrail. Jeannie fought back with a kick to the gut and then rolled Toni back into the ring. Back inside the two went through a criss cross which ended with Jeannie ducking away from a flying crossbody block and Toni being caught mid-air by Buddy Lane. Jeannie nailed a dropkick to the back of Toni who smacked into Lane who was putting her down. Lane got knocked out of the ring. Chris Adams came down to the ring with Jeannie choking his wife. Chris grabbed Jeannie by the back of the hair pulling her off. Jeannie rocked Chris in retaliation with a kick to the groin and then tried for a DDT but Chris tossed her off. Referee Buddy Lane called for the bell from outside of the ring.

Post-Match: Chris and Jeannie got into a yelling match, and Jeannie tried to slap Chris but he blocked it. He looked like he was going to hit his ex-wife but referee Buddy Lane stepped between them. Toni though then grabbed Jeannie and tossed her out of the ring.

Bout #7

Jerry Lynn vs Mr. Pogo

Lynn tried his best to make this a wrestling match, but that lasted about 30 seconds. Referee Jurgen Hermann tried his best not to disqualify Mr. Pogo for using everything not nailed down but that lasted about two minutes.

Jerry Lynn defeated Mr. Pogo by disqualification for use of many foreign objects at 3:02

Post-Match: The post match brawl went all around ringside and into the crowd and lasted longer then the match. Pogo looked 100% in control and was ready to do some major damage to Lynn when EZ Ryder came out of nowhere and ~waffled~ him from behind with a steel chair.

Pre-Match: Chris Adams comes to the ring, upset at what has transpired between his wife and his ex-wife, and that he has asked Toni to stay in the locker room. Then the Natural comes out to the ring saying that Adams had demanded a rematch tonight, but by the Natural's count he's already beat him twice. Adams says no problem he can beat the Natural twice, but the Natural counters with that making it only a tie. Can you beat me three times in a row? Adams accepts the challenge and officially it is called a best of 5.

Chris Adams  vs  The Natural
Natural started strong with a series of wristlocks and then an armbar. Adams would eventually take over the fall, but he telegraphed a back body drop, the Natural flipped over his back and when Adams turned around Natural went for a super kick, but Adams moved out of the way, and when Natural regained his balance he was fed a super kick to the face by Adams in return.

The next fall started with Natural complaining about a hair pull to buy some time, then he went to the crowd in search of a comb, borrowed one and did a bit of styling. Adams finally couldn't take anymore and left the ring and went after him. The two brawled outside the ring and Natural nailed Adams with a hotshot off the guardrail. Back inside Natural had complete control, working a body scissors, side breaker, abdominal stretch, and then a sleeper hold, but couldn't get the win. Adams made a quick comeback, nailed Natural with an atomic drop and when he bounced back from the buckle he followed through with a belly to back suplex and got the pin.

Natural attacked Adams before the next fall could start, taking his feet out from under him. He went after the legs, leaping off the second buckle over and over again on the legs, followed by a figure-four. Adams finally managed to turn it over to get the break. Natural though went right back after the leg. When Adams finally made a comeback he couldn't even stand so he took Natural down with a leg whip and then went to work on the mat. Leg spreader, spinning toe hold, and an STF but couldn't get the submission. Back on their feet now Adams had recovered. The two went back and forth with strikes and impact moves. Then the predictable happened and Jeannie Adams came to ringside followed swiftly by Toni Adams. Jeannie got the advantage though by smashing Toni's head off the apron, and then laid the boots to her. Chris Adams had no choice but to be distracted and this allowed Natural to double axhandle him from behind and then lay the boots to him in the corner. Outside the ring though Toni took the advantage from Jeannie, and when Natural came off the ropes Toni reached in and tripped him, something missed by Buddy Lane. Natural got up, and was fed another helping of super kick.

K.C. Houston (champion)  vs  Kelly St. Croix
St. Croix had her moments in this match but did not impress as much as she did in the tournament final two weeks ago. Houston looked strong throughout the match and left no doubt she was ready to move on to another opponent (likely a fan favourite).

RCW Tag Team Title Match
Destruction Crew: Mike Enos & Wayne Bloom (champions)  vs  British Bruisers: Dynamite Kid & Johnny Smith
Enos started against Smith and grabbed the advantage. Bloom pushed the advantage but then DK got the tag in and took over the match. DK tagged out to Smith and soon Bloom tagged out to Enos and we were back to where we started. Things got a bit rough and all 4 men went at it in the middle of the ring. Ref Buddy Lane restored order and DK went to work on Bloom with kicks, arm wrench, and an impressive snap suplex. Tagged out to Smith who came off the second rope onto Bloom's outstretched arm being held by DK. Smith went to work again on Bloom...and then Mr. Pogo ran down to the ring and pulled Dynamite Kid off the apron. Pogo threw him into the guardrail, grabbed a steel chair and ~waffled~ him. Back inside Destruction Crew decided to double team Smith. After a stuffed piledriver they went for the pin but Lane refused to count and left the ring to try and rescue Kid. Pogo though punched Lane and dropped him. Pogo entered the ring with the chair and while Enos and Bloom held Smith he nailed him in the head dropping him. Destruction Crew celebrated, right up until Pogo nailed Bloom across the back, and then the head. Enos went after Pogo and the two grappled over the chair. Enos grabbed it and hit Pogo over the head. Pogo rolled out of the ring and left the premises.

RCW Heritage Title Match
Wahoo McDaniel (champion)  vs  Charlie Norris
McDaniel faced off against his former friend and fellow Native American, Charlie Norris. McDaniel grabbed an early advantage and used his experience to counter Norris' attempts at offence. McDaniel extended an olive branch with a handshake attempt to try and bring Norris along, but was refused with a smack across the face. Norris nailed a knee into the lower abdomen of the champ and then hit a chop to the throat. Norris took McDaniel down to the mat and dropped a knee into the "upper" thigh, and finally got a warning from referee Jurgen Hermann. Norris went to work on the legs of McDaniel for a couple minutes but when he tried for a figure-four he looked a bit confused and slow to put it on and McDaniel managed to kick him off. The champ got to his feet but unable to stand on his own backed himself into the buckle. Norris went after him but McDaniel was able to trade punch for punch, chop for chop out of the corner. Finally McDaniel reversed things and swung Norris into the corner, but then found himself unsteady, and Norris took the opening to nail an elbowsmash to the head. Norris then exploded out of the corner nailing the champ with a spine buster slam and got a 2 count. Norris tried a few more things to no avail, and then climbed to the second buckle and came off, but McDaniel moved out of the way. From his back the veteran kicked away at the young challenger, and then got to his feet, nailed Norris with a hip toss, then a powerslam for a 2 count. The match spilled outside where the intensity and hatred picked up as the two continued to brawl. In the brawl Norris' head got busted open. Back inside Norris tried to exchange chops and elbows with McDaniel and even though both are about the same size, McDaniel has that man strength and got the better of the turncoat. He nailed a powerslam, and then a Tomahawk chop for the win over his bloodied opponent.

Post-Match: McDaniel was presented with his belt while Norris watched, and then left the ring. Norris though called him back, refusing medical attention, the blood streaming down his head now. McDaniel slowly made his way back to the ring. Norris told McDaniel that he beat him fair and square and offered an apology to McDaniel his "brother". He offered a handshake but McDaniel didn't look sold yet. He carefully took the mic from Norris and started to speak...and was Pearl Harboured from behind by Johnnie Stewart. Norris joined Stewart and the two laid the boots to McDaniel who was finally rescued by Terminator Riggs.

Main Event
RCW Heavyweight Title Match

Lethal Larry Cameron (champion)  vs  Ben Bassarab

The most decorated athlete in RCW history with 5 tag team reigns and 3 Television title reigns, Bassarab was taking another stab at the biggest prize of all, the Heavyweight title, which has eluded him in previous matchups. As the match began with both men being hesitant and defensive, no one seemed in a hurry, and the fans settled in for what looked like it could be a long affair. Bassarab grabbed the first advantage, and worked a couple restholds including a series of standing wristlocks, but those are not going to put away the muscular champion. When Cameron got his first advantage of the match he went to work on the lower back of Bassarab, including putting him face first into the buckle and then risking DQ to continue to punish him with knees to the back. A standing surfboard, a bear hug, and then a pair of backbreakers yielded a 2 count. Bassarab took a powder outside the ring to grab a break but the champ followed him out, so Bassarab slipped back in, then caught the champ with a diving shoulder as he entered the ring. Bassarab nailed a pair of dropkicks, a monkey flip, and then a series of 4 hip tosses before Cameron decided to leave the ring to take a breath. There were some delays as he backed out of entering the ring twice when the challenger got too close and was sent back by ref Buddy Lane. They locked up again and Cameron nailed a knee to the gut, then another, then a knee lift to the head, then went to work on the back again. The champ softened the back, tried for a Boston crab but could only get a single leg and Bassarab got to the ropes for a break. Rather then break clean the champ pulled Bassarab up in the air and smashed him to the mat, then went to work again on the back. He modified his attack a bit with a front facelock, before nailing a back body drop, another backbreaker, some stomps, and then a standing torture rack. Bassarab managed to work through the pain and grab the top rope. Instead of breaking clean though the champ deposited Bassarab over the top rope to the ground below. Cameron made a mistake though by taking some time and then deciding he was going to jump off the apron with a double axhandle, and Bassarab turned around and nailed him with a knee to the gut in midair. Bassarab then sent Cameron back first into the ring apron, then nailed a spinebuster slam on the outside mats. Back inside Bassarab kept the advantage with a side headlock, then an armbar, and finally an abdominal stretch. The underdog unable to get a submission nailed an arm capture suplex, a German suplex, and then came off the top rope with an elbowdrop and would have got the win but they were too close to the ropes and the champ managed to drape a foot over the bottom rope. Bassarab sent the champ to the buckle and nailed a back bodydrop, then a moonsault for a 2 count. He went for a flying shoulderblock after sending the champ to the ropes but got the worse of it and both men were down. Bassarab was on his feet first but when he grabbed the head of the champ, Cameron reacted with a vicious spinebuster slam of his own, for a 1 count. Back on their feet they did some work coming off the ropes and criss-crossing, and finally Bassarab took Cameron down with a drop toe hold that saw the champ tumble out of the ring. Bassarab came off the far ropes and dove between the second and third rope nailing an impressive tope on the champ.
