Every American knows the story of the Mayflower crossing bringing the first pilgrims over to the new world, and the trial and tribulations that ocean travel had back in the 1600's. Or at least they think they know the story. However, lost in the annals of time, not fit to print in a grade 5 history textbook, is the true, and horrific story of the crossing. There was a lot more than some scurvy, bleeding gums, a pet mastiff, and a mysterious "Master Leaver" to be afraid of on that cursed journey.
