Jarrett Darpo is an IT consultant who moved from the high taxes of Massachusetts to New Mexico for the weather, culture (or lack thereof), and taxes (or lack thereof). As the only big shot in his small community of townhouses (one step up from a trailer park) he enjoys a certain prestige which he pretends not to enjoy. That is all threatened by the arrival of a sultry newcomer Leah Horton who moved from New York City for pretty much the same reasons as Jarrett while she continues her career as a fashion designer. A love triangle begins between Jarrett and Leah, and another neighbor Tim Stapleton a deputy sheriff at the same time that a mystery begins to unravel itself. There may or may not be a missing person who lived in Leah's house prior to her, and there may or may not be a small fortune in stolen bank funds hiding somewhere in the townhouses. A subtle game of cat and mouse begins amongst a group of strange and unsavory inhabitants who are not known for their subtlety or their ability to communicate.
