Night Moves
Dramedy from Jeff Davis co-producer of "Rock of Ages" starring Will Forte "SNL, MacGruber, The Watch" and Gil Bellows "Vegas, Shawshank Redemption, House at the End of the Street" as rival but kindred spirit rock bar owners who must deal with the changes to the music industry in the mid 80's and the impact it has on their business and their future, as well as the turmoil in their own hectic lives and families. The owners of two adjacent rock bars "Diamonds" and "Rust" compete for patrons, and struggle to survive in the late 80's as music shifts from hard rock to rap and pop. Season 3 Preview
The third season of "Night Moves" follows the now combined "Diamonds & Rust" nightclub as it tries to keep rock and roll alive, while "Spurs" a hot country and western bar opens in the old Diamonds location.
Will Forte plays Pat Willis co-owner of Diamonds and Rust and actively involved in its running, while Gill Bellows plays Kerry Kanada who is the other co-owner of the club, but spends most of his days in semiretirement only showing up to stick his nose in the bar business when it suits him. Kerry is also on a mission to find purpose in his life with the ghost of Jaz still in his thoughts. Pat's daughter Jess (Gage Golightly) has returned to college but still has a recurring role, more in her Father's life then at the club. The imbecile act of Murray (Fred Ewanuick) and Mike (Chris Salvatore) continues but they have a new companion Julia Benson joins the cast as the new no-nonsense floor manager Chloe Lane, while Spurs will feature Kristoffer Polaha as Drake Sebastien, floor manager; Arija Bareikis as Fanny Moonves (bartender), and Mark Valley as J.T. Wynters (owner).
Season 3 will see a cross-over episode with Wildwood and a series of guest appearances as has become the show's hallmark. Guests are scheduled to include William Shatner, Jillian Michaels, Gene Simmons, Paul Stanley, Jennifer Jason Leigh, Judge Reinhold, Kelly LeBrock, Coco Nicole Austin, Britney Spears and Meghan Trainor.

November 6, 2015PLS Media and Liberty Television announced today that stuntman and actor Robbie Knieval (son of the legendary Evil Knieval) has signed on to star in a story arc that will include episodes of both Wildwood and Night Moves (crossover episodes) in the winter of 2016. The exact role he will play has not been announced but it is shaping up to be an aging stuntman looking for a last hurrah. The crossover between the two Liberty shows had been previously announced, but was believed to be written around Kristina of Wildwood winning a contest to see her favorite Rock 'n Roll band in California; where she reconnects with Murray from Diamonds & Rust who has previously crossed over to Wildwood. Night Moves; 2016-17 Season Preview
Liberty Television's fun fueled Night Moves returns for season 4 at the Tuesday 10:00pm/9CST slot with some cast shuffles. A full season of 22 episodes has been ordered and the network is aiming for a 1.2-1.4 rating demo this season.
The biggest news is that the two main leads Will Forte and Gill Bellows will pretty much split the season with Forte's Pat Willis character appearing in the first half of the year and Bellows' Kerry Kanada character appearing in the second half. Both will receive opening credits however. Gage Golightly's character Jess Willis will step up to a bigger role this season running the bar Diamonds & Rust, while Devon Werkheiser's character Boyd Zingg returns as a regular and possible love interest for Jess. The very sultry Taylor Cole enters the show as the new floor manager, hired by Willis and Kanada, which may create some friction between her and Jess. While the impact of the burgeoning rap scene as well as the country scene and rival bar Spurs are still part of the background of the show, Night Moves has been condensed this season to centering around only the one bar D&R. And of course fans can hardly wait to see all the guest stars brought in which is part of the appeal of the show.
Behind the scenes Jeff Davis returns as showrunner but Will Forte still has a strong hand in all creative aspects. In addition to Davis and Forte, main writers Spencer Susser and Jeff Rubin return for another season. Jerry Kupfer remains as co-executive producer mostly serving as a consultant and trouble shooter for Davis and Forte. He has been referred to around the show as the referee and the tiebreaker. John Riggi, Matthew Pollack, Will Forte, Gill Bellows, and James Dunnison are all on tap to direct episodes this year.
Competition at the 10pm Tuesday slot will be Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. (ABC), NCIS New Orleans (CBS), and Chicago Fire (NBC). Night Moves would seem to have the most "fun factor" of all those shows and should attract any audiences that are more partial to sit-coms then dramas. Last season ABC fumbled out of the block with a late start for Wicked City and disastrous numbers before putting mostly encore presentations in that spot, and trying again with Of Kings and Prophets which also flopped on the epic scale. CBS had Limitless and some Person of Interest, and NBC struggled with Best Time Ever With Neil Patrick Harris before putting Chicago Fire into that slot. Interestingly enough ABC and CBS are simply sliding their shows from 9pm last year (Agents of SHIELD and NCIS NO) into the 10pm slot this year. All in all competition should be much higher this year for Night Moves so it may struggle to hold its ratings.

Immediate tensions arise between Zara and Jess as the latter feels she should have been able to choose her own manager, and the former feels Jess is too young and inexperienced to give her any direction. At first Mike enjoys working with Murray again, but soon becomes despondent when he realizes how much his friend has grown up and become more independent. The crew tries to find a way to fight against the draw of the mechanical bull rides over at Spurs. Boyd moves too fast for Jess' liking and she tells him that it might not be a good idea for them to date since she is now "the boss".
4.02 - "Anxiety" (Oct 11/2016) 1.2/5 4.29 guest star: Pat Benatar When Zara and Boyd hit it off, Jess tries to tell Boyd that Zara is just using him to annoy her; when this doesn't work Jess tries to forbid Zara from dating Boyd because he is part of "the talent". The crew is on the lookout for drug dealers after a rash of bad oxy pills cause a death in the community. Pat refuses to step in and give Fatherly advice to Jess despite the please of those around them. Mike and Murray attempt to spy on Spurs.
4.03 - "Mississippi Queen" (Oct 18/2016) 1.3/5 4.51 guest star; Ozzy Osbourne An aging rock god (Ozzy Osbourne) holes up in D&R after losing a lawsuit which means his signature song has been ruled to be a rip-off from another group, and threatens to commit suicide. In return Winters asks Pat to go on a date with his crazy sister who is in town.
4.04 - "Rock Hard" guest stars; Joan Jett, Suzi Quatro Mary Jones (Joan Jett) makes a return to D&R, this time while making a comeback documentary for a music station reuniting her with her first band "Sisters in Leather"; which means her ex-bandmate and ex-lover Denise Bleu (Suzi Quatro) is also at D&R making everyone a little bit uncomfortable. Murray & Mark compete for the same girl; not realizing she is underage and just using them to get booze.
4.05 - "The Return of Bruno" With a reference from their friends in Wildwood New Jersey, a new bartender "Bruno" shows up to work at D&R, but also wants to take centre stage.
