The winner of that event will become the #1 challenger and receive the next title shot at Steve Disalvo or Davey Boy Smith who pair up one more time next week. Women's champion Wendy Richter will also be on hand to defend her title against Bad Girl.

Nick Bockwinkel shocked the crowd by calling out Night Stalker and signing him to his agency to join Soultaker as a tag tem. No one quite knows what this means for Bock's other tag team the Texas Hangmen and he wasn't willing to talk about it. They did challenge the tag champions to a match tonight. The champs accepted but Baron von Raschke declared that it would be non-title.
