Despite their obvious attraction to each other two old friends try to keep it platonic in their new apartment as both move to New York's Upper East Side to try and start life anew. Trish a former bikini and fitness model and Chris a former Pro hockey player both have their hearts set on singing and acting careers.

1.01 - Casting Couch 5/30/07 - 6.54
After giving Trish a "lesson" on how to avoid leacherous men on job interivews, Chris himself finds himself prey to a cougar when she finds herself losing control while interviewing Chris for a leading role at a dinner theatre production.
1.02 - All my Ex's live in Texas
Trish' ex-boyfriend, a rodeo cowboy from Texas, hooks back up with her while touring through New York. This creates jealousy with Chris who tries to out-do her by calling up his ex-girlfriend, a Brazillian beach volleyball beauty.
1.03 - The In and Out Laws
When Chris's Mom comes to live in the apartment for a few days, she drives Trish crazy, a fact totally lost on Chris. When the visit gets extended Trish fights fire with fire inviting her own annoying mother for a stay. Things backfire though when the mothers get along famously and soon become burrs in the saddles of both Trish & Chris.
1.04 - Hello Neighbour
A new neighbour begins to hang out with Trish, making Chris jealous until he begins to think the new guy might by gay. Feeling the need to know Chris does his best to investigate but subtle is not in Chris' playbook. Due to a misunderstanding and overheard conversation Trish now believes that Chris is gay and trying to pick up the neighbour. At one point a flustered Chris explodes with "the only gym he's interested in is Jim Nabors."
1.05 - No Class
Trish & Chris enroll in the same evening acting class thinking it would be fun to do together. Instead they begin to compete with each other for marks and the teacher's attention. Trish is embarrased when an internet site photoshops some of her old fitness pictures into something a lot less appropriate.
1.06 - Stormy Weather
Trish auditions to be the weather girl on a local TV station, where she is treated like dirt by the news anchor. Chris decides to pay a visit to the anchor in the parking lot and give him a piece of his mind, only to get run over by a moped. Chris' friend needs an emergency babysitter and leaves his bratty 5 year old daughter with Trish and Chris for the night.
1.07 - "Lights Out"
The eastern seaboard powergrid goes down, and Trish and Chris are forced to eat leftovers by candlelight. They decide to entertain themselves with a game of truth or dare, which leads them to tell each other about their first love. Before they know it the two have broken their platonic relationship and when the lights are on in the morning the two friends are sharing a bed. Trish insists that Chris move out.

As Chris prepares to move out, Trish gets together with an ex-boyfriend who is so happy to have her back he proposes marriage. Chris tries to convince her that this is just a rebound reaction but that angers her so much that she agrees to the marriage. Chris plans to continue to disaude Trish of the marriage but he gets a phone call from his agent with an offer for a regular role in a specialty channel reality show. Trish agrees not to get married while Chris goes to L.A. to check it out, but she breaks that promise and marries while he is gone. Chris returns from L.A. disullisoned having turned down a bad role, only to find Trish packed and moved out with her new husband.
