It's another disapointing turn-out for Camp Tamakawa, interest by kids is dwindling. However, on a dark and stormy night, several parents are stranded and forced to spend the night. Financial woes nip away at Matthew's idealism and drive a wedge between he and Kelly. The parents explain to the couple that the Gen X parents are spending more time with their kids instead of packing them off to camp, and that family camps are now the in thing. Matthew and Kelly fight with the ghost of Uncle Lou over their plans to turn the camp into a family camp. The parents inadvertently provide the solution when they suggest that they would come to a camp like this to relive a piece of their childhood and to get a break from their own video game addicted kids.
1.02 - "A Family Affair"
A mid 30's son brings his "uber-father" to Camp Tamakawa. The father is a successful business man ready to retire and turn his comapny over to his son, who disapoints him by turning down the offer. The son hopes to make the father understand at Camp why; because he wants to spend more time with his family then his father spent with him.
Matthew's brother Brad returns to Camp Tamakawa. Kelly is hurt when its obvious that Brad is more interested in trying to recruit Matthew back to the clothing company then he is in trying to woo Kelly back to their marriage.

1.03 - "Buried Memories"
Just when it looks bad again for the future of Camp Tamakawa word gets out about a legend of buried treasure somewhere in the camp. Suddenly the camp is overrun by treasure hunters and media.
Kelly leaves camp for a return to the city. She consults a lawyer to finalize her divorce, and then goes to meet Brad for one more chance at reconciliation.
The treasure turns out to be a time capsule buried by young campers in the 50's. While not exactly gold it does include some valuable items like a still wrapped Beatles Album, and the resulting publicity gives Camp Tamakawa another burst of financial adreneline. Turns out that the entire legend and hunt was orchestrated by none other then the strange handyman of the camp, Stick.
1.04 - "Exercise/Exorcise"

1.05 - "Search Your Heart"

1.07 - The One
Kelly addresses the question of marriage with Matthew saying it is too soon after Brad, but then plans a romantic night to prove to him she has no doubts that he is the right man for her.
A mysterious guest claims to have been a former student but the counsellors can find no records of his previous existence and begin to do some investigating. They eventually find that Lou often kept some underprivlidged guests that he allowed to stay for free off the official records, so as not to alert the bank and insurance companies.
A planned midnight movie screening on the lake turns into a minor disaster when the winds pick up and blow the giant rental screen across the camp.
1.08 - Janna, bannana
With the recent success of the camp Matthew and Kelly make the decision to hire another counsellor. The process is a lot tougher then expected though as they go through one nut job applicant after another.
Matthew pushes to hire a pretty blonde "Janna", and Kelly resists because her feelings are hurt thinking Matthew is only hiring her for her looks.
A former camp kid returns after a career on the Harlem Globetrotters, and regals the crew in road stories, the good, the bad, and the ugly.

A pair of unruly campers get what's coming to them after making the mistake of leaving garbage out in bear country.
1.10 - Bad Decisions
Janna falls for a camp guest, who it turns out is nothing more then a common con-man. Matthew consoles her, and this is misinterpreted by Kelly who thinks the two are involved behind her back.
Some guests make the unwise decision to go cliff jumping into the lake after lights out with nearly tragic results.
Stick's son comes for a visit, and looking for work, but he doesn't want the kid anywhere near the camp, refusing to believe he has mended his ways.
1.11 - Rocks & Knolls
guest star; Steven Seagal
A rock 'n roll band comes to stay at the camp, one of them a former camper at Tamakawa in his youth, and agree to play a benefit concert.
The ghost of Uncle Lou is deadset against the disturbance and puts up a fuss in his spectral ways. It turns out Uncle Lou was right as the new Park Ranger (Steven Seagal) rolls in to arrest the band for possession of drugs.
Janna is on the verge of tears, and quitting, until Kelly buries the hatchet and the two make friendship bracelets to honor the occassion. Janna tells Kelly how this will replace the one she had as a child in Denmark, having left her best friend behind to move to America, and now they are no longer on speaking terms.
The Park Ranger delights the guests with a campfire ghost story of doubtful authenticity, claiming he was once a CIA agent who tracked down alien and ghost sightings.
1.12 - Summer's End
It's a tearful goodbye to the last batch of campers as Camp Tamakawa closes up for the season.
At the last campfire the season's most whacky campers are remembered, as are the competitions, and ghost sightings.
Kelly accepts Matthew's offer to move in together, and for her to let go of her apartment. Brad meets them at the camp and makes the same offer to Kelly to come home, but she ends it with him permanently and confides to him that she and Matthew may get married. He's angry calling that "sick".
Stick is busy winterizing his cabin, as he stays all year long, and this year he willl have company; his son is going to stay and try and convince his father that he has changed his ways.
The sacred ceremony of saving the ashes from the last campfire to be used to start next year's fire is completed; and the ghost of Uncle Lou makes one final appearance for the summer.
