Garage Bands Revisted [Reality/Music] [60 min] [12 episodes]
Hosts:
Joan Jett
Billy Idol
Our crew drops in on 3 garage bands each week with a challenge. They have four hours to work as a team to practice and rehearse while our crew modifies their garage sound and recruits an audience to watch.
Our panel of judges then decide which of the 3 bands will go on to the semi-finals, and then the finals, to compete for a dream recording studio to be built in their choice of location.

~episode guide~
1.01 - "Cradle Rockers" 6/1/07 - 6.43
...a Van Halen coverband must break out of the mold and create and perform their own original song.
A Seattle grunge band must work in a horn section we provide into their song giving it a bit of a Ska feel. An all female band must choose between 3 potential male lead singers to lead them in song.
1.02 - "Rooftops"
....a Trenton, NJ band who practices not in a garage but on a rooftop of their apartment building, a three generation family band from Topeka, KS, and a Santa Clara, CA band made up of high school seniors who use Anime and Japanese culture as the basis for their music are given four hours to come up with and perform a song dedicated to George Washington.
1.03 - "Hometown Heroes"
...co-workers from a public library in Philadelphia PA, a group of metal maniacs from Fargo, ND, and the Hometown Heroes from Little Rock, AK, duke it out for a trip to the semi-finals.
1.04 - "With A Rebel Yell"
...we travel to Modesto CA, Boulder CO, and Appleton MN and catch up with 3 garage bands who are given a brand new song written by Billy Idol, to interpret, practice and then perform.
1.05 - "They Love Rock 'n Roll"
...we travel to Brooklyn, NY, Austin TX, and Pocatello ID and put 3 all female bands to the test. Learn, practice, and perform one of Joan Jett's songs. There are two catches, first it can't be "I Love Rock ' n Roll" and secondly their lead singer will be joined in duet by Joan Jett herself.
1.06 - "Daddy Played Bass"
..three bands in Milwaukee WI while quite different from each other have at least one thing in common...they share the same bass guitarist. So while we know at least one guy who will be going on to the semi-finals which of his three bands will be selected; one a young group led by the bass guitarist's teenage daughter, another his old band who get together on occasion, and the third a wedding band that the bass guitarist plays with simply for the money.
1.07 - "SoCal Heat"
..three Latino based bands from southern California are asked to learn, reinterpret and perform "It Never Rains in Southern California" which is a bit of a musical stretch since one band says it plays like Metallica, a second plays primarily salsa, and a third is a SKA/Bop band with some throwback to the 50's in their wall of sound.
1.08 - "Last Call"
...our last group of bands includes a band that plays outlaw country and western from Biloxi, MS, a band that still plays grunge from Seattle WA, and a group that idolizes Buckcherry.
1.09 - "Semi-Finals 1"
- winning bands from 1.01 - 1.04 compete to see who will make the finals.
1.10 "Semi-Finals 2"
- winning bands from 1.05 - 1.08 compete to see who will make the finals.
