-Zhukov avenged his loss to the youngster Tustin which was obviously quite an embarrasment to him.
Interview:
Once again Boris Zhukov puts down the reformers in Russia as being capitalist pigs sucking at the breast of Mother Russia. Interview:
Bob Orton & Scott Hall say that they had the belt away from Vendetta last week until that wimp Buddy Lane went down and then those cheaters Vendetta and Jack Steele conspired to cheat Hall of his belt. Tonight they promise to take their anger out on Steele because they still need Vendetta healthy enough to wrestle so they can take the title from him.
Bout #2
#1 TV title contenders match
Owen Hart defeated Mike Lozansky by pinfall after a top rope bodypress at 11:16
-excellent fast paced match with two young men destined to be superstars. However, only one could win tonight and that honor went to the fan favorite Owen Hart.
Interview:
Owen Hart says he might not understand Rogue, they might not speak the same language, but wrestling is truly universal, it cuts across nations, and apparently through time as well. Owen then slowly holds up 3 fingers, then points to his waist, and raises his arms in the sky. He turns to Ken Resnick and says, I think he understood that.
Interview:
Vendetta & Jack Steele are only too happy to take on Orton & Hall in tonight's main event. They say this way the playing field is level and they can keep an eye on both of those swine at the same time.
Bout #3
RCW Tag Team Title Match
Top Guns (Ricky Rice & Derrick Dukes) defeated Bad Company (Paul Diamond & Pat Tanaka) by disqualification for a low blow at 7:21
[Bad Company retained the RCW Tag Team Titles]
-the writing was on the wall as the Top Guns dominated throughout most of this match, and when it looked like they might get the titles back the champs took the easy way out with a crotch shot to get dq'd
Post-Match:
The champions having laid out Ricky Rice with the lowblow went to work on Derrick Dukes. Diamond held him defenseless while Tanaka took liberties with his kicks. At Diamond's urgings Tanaka focused on one knee of Dukes. They continued to work on him until Rice recoverd enough to make the save.
Interview:
Bad Company takes the interview since Ricky Rice was last seen helping Derrick Dukes get to an ambulance. They say that the Top Guns had their chance to be champions, and blew it. It's not time to go backward, there are no do-overs in pro-wrestling, this isn't collegiate. Bad Company says it is in RCW and the fans best interest for Bad Company to do whatever is necessary to make sure these belts are not tarnished any further by the likes of the Top Guns.
Promo:
Coming to RCW from Europe, the Catch Wrestling tag team champions Union Jack (hailing from the UK obvioulsy), and his partner Gabriel Argos (who hails from Greece). They appear to be scientifically proficient and they put Bad Company on notice that the fans deserve something more honorable out of their tag champions.
Main Event
Bob Orton & Scott Hall defeated Vendetta & Jack Steele by pinfall when Hall pinned Steele after a second rope bulldog at 12:12
Scott Hall did his best to avoid matching up with Vendetta, so Orton was forced to play Ricky Morton early in the match, and then when the momentum changed it was Steele taking all the punishment. Vendetta was not willing to go out without a fight, he even illegally entered the ring to break up a Bob Orton piledriver attempt by clotheslining Orton while he had Steele still in the standing headscissors. This resulted in a two on one on Vendetta, but when they whipped him to the ropes he came off with a double clothesline taking down both opponents. He then got the hot tag from Steele and went to work on Orton. After a couple minutes of beating he tagged out to Steele, and held Orton down while Steele came off the second rope with a legdrop. He got a two count, but a very close fall. Steele though made the mistake of whipping Orton to the ropes. Hall intecepted his own partner, and then dragged him into their corner to make the tag before Steele could break it up. Orton and Steele went after each other tooth and nail, with Orton grabbing the advantage. He tagged out to Hall and then went over and dragged Vendetta off the ring apron. Steele fought Hall off, but with referee Buddy Lane distracted by the fight outside the ring Hall nailed Steele with a lowblow. He then hit him with a discus punch, before nailing the bulldog for the tainted win.
Post-Match:
Vendetta abandoned his fight outside the ring and chased Hall away. He then tended to his fallen partner and took his frustrations out on the canvas with his hands.

No-Disqualification Match
Chris Benoit defeated Troy Galveston by pinfall after dropkicking a steelchair to his head at 7:26
Anything went in this rematch from last week where Galveston had used brass knuckles. The match was fast paced in the ring, and slow and painful outside the ring where both men used steel chairs, the guardrail, and various objects they found including a women's purse and a wrench. Just when it looked like Galveston was going to chair shot Benoit clean and pick up the win, the Edmonton native lashed out kicking Galveston in the gut, then dropkicked him driving the chair into his head. Benoit covered for the win and Galveston was busted wide open.

RCW Television Title Match
Rogue defeated Owen Hart by pinfall after a belly-to-back suplex (with his feet on the ropes for leverage) at 10:38
-Hart started strong but then Rogue took control and slowed things down. He worked over Hart for a good 5 minutes with chokes, rope burns, stomps, and even a fishook. Hart finally made a comeback and worked over the groin muscles of Rogue after he missed a kick. Hart kicked the groin muscles, then used a legspreader to hurt him more and try and gain the submission. Rogue found it hard to stand after that punishment but managed to nail Hart in the gut with a couple of headbutts from his knees. He then took Hart down and started to work over the lower back. This lead to getting back on his feet and a two count after a spinebuster, and another 2 count after a backbody drop. Hart fought back but Rogue stopped him in his tracks with a kick to the gut followed by a chop to the throat. Frustrated the champ hit the belly to back suplex but then put his feet on the bottom rope for leverage, a move that went undetected and cost Hart the match.
Interview:
Rogue of course denies any wrong doing.
Interview:
Scott Hall says he is going to finish off Jack Steele once and for all tonight, and then next week he's going to take Vendetta's title and dedicate the win to his mentor Bob Oton Jr.
Bob Orton though warns Hall that he might get carried away tonight and cripple Vendetta. Hall feigns concern pleading with Orton not to hurt him as Hall wants to beat him fair and square next week. Orton says he will do his best but you know Vendetta, he starts to cheat and things get carried away.

Scott Hall defeated Jack Steele by pinfall after a 2nd rope bulldog at 9:00
-hard fought even match that went in and out of the ring with referee Jurgen Hermann just trying to stay out of the way and keep a lid on things. Steele tried to nail Hall with a piledriver but Hall muscled himself into blocking it and then backdroped Steele. A minute later he had hit the discus punch and his finisher.
Interview:
Jack Steele is very dejected but wishes his friend Vendetta well on beating Orton tonight. Vendetta tells Steele not to worry there will be better days, and this will not end as a good day for Orton.

No new ground covered in this bout, with the champion showing he has Orton's number no matter how much he tries to cheat. The champ nailed his finisher and picked up the pin a second before Scott Hall hit the ring.
Post-Match:
Scott Hall makes it 2 on 1, but of course Jack Steele then hits the ring to even the odds. However Orton is able to clip Steele's leg from behind and take him out. Orton and Hall are in control with Vendetta face down, and laying a 2 on 1 beating on Steele as the show ends.

Opening Bout:
Non-title Match
Bad Company (Paul Diamond & Pat Tanaka) defeated Biff Wellington & Chris Nevada by pinfall when Diamond pinned Nevada after a doubleteam running clothesline at 5:45
-glorified squash match as the champs went after the weaker link Nevada
Interview:
Bad Company ridicules the European champs Union Jack & Gabriel Argos saying they were very disapointing in their premiere and should go back to Europe where the competition is 150 pound local boys and 60 year old former Amercian wrestlers. Ken Resnick informs them and the fans that next week a #1 contenders match will occur with those Europeans taking on Wonderfully Fabulous. Bad Company feigns fear.
Interview:
Vendetta comes out with Jack Steele. Steele is dressed in full cowboy duds, as he has a bunkhouse brawl match scheduled next against Bob Orton, to end their feud once and for all. Vendetta also has a surprise, saying that Hall won't be the only one with a manager out there tonight. The champ says he has got himself a manager tonight to keep an eye on Bob Orton. Jack Steele flashes his manager's license, and says that this is only a backup plan as he doesn't expect Orton to be leaving the ring with his feet on the ground tonight.
Bout #2
Bunkhouse Brawl
Bob Orton defeated Jack Steele by pinfall in a bunkhouse brawl after outside interference at 9:24
-both men came out wearing cowboy gear and referee Buddy Lane had to confiscate spurs from both men. It didn't matter much though as each man found weapons soon enough and both men wore a crimson mask about 3 minutes into the match. It went back and forth but Steele looked to have more stamina and was really pouring it on. He worked over Orton on the announce table, slamming him back first, then giving him a slam on the table, followed by some elbows, and a hiptoss off the table. Suddenly Scott Hall appeared, swiping the ringbell off the table and nailed Steele in the head. The Texan was out cold. Vendetta came out and went after Scott Hall but it was too late for Steele, as Orton managed to slowly crawl over and get the easy pin.
Interview:
Bob Orton & Scott Hall crow about how much smarter they are then Vendetta and Jack Steele, and how what they did was not grounds for disqualification. All's fair in love and war, and this ain't no romance. Hall tells Vendetta he was just warming up for their main event tonight, and tells the champ to prepare to get his bell rung too.
Bout #3
RCW Television Title Match
Rogue defeated Owen Hart by pinfall after a legdrop to the back of the head at 9:02
[Rogue retained the RCW Television Title]
-just dumb luck on the side of Hart kept him from winning the belt tonight. Rogue tried to attack Hart before the opening bell but Hart was ready and slammed the champ's head into the buckle. That set the tone for the first 5 minutes of this match as Hart beat the champ from pillar to post, and managed to counter all of Rogue's dirty tricks. Finally Rogue caught Owen as he tried to enter the ring, with the champ pushing him from behind into the ringsteps. Back inside the ring Rogue worked over Owen's lower back with stomps, a surfboard, and a few backbreakers, but could not get a pin. Owen fought back and rocked Rogue with some elbows to get room, then came off the ropes with a flying forearm smash. A couple dropkicks and suplexes later and Owen was picking up steam. Then in a crisscross series inept official Jurgen Hermann got himself in the way. He tried to get out of the way by diving to the ground, but he zigged when Owen also zigged. Hart tried to jump over the ref but his foot caught Hermann's side and Owen tripped smashing himself head first into the mat, and lay there stunned. Rogue came off the ropes and dropped a big legdrop across the back of Owen's neck, and then pinned him to retain his title.
Interview:
After Rogue gloats for a minute, Ken Resnick informs him that a new #1 contender has been named for next week, and its none other then Owen Hart's tag team partner Chris Benoit. Rogue though does not seem worried and uses several colorful 12th centruy expressions to probably insult Benoit, but no one was quite certain.

RCW Heavyweight Title Match
Vendetta (champion) (/w Jack Steele)
v
Scott Hall (challenger) (/w Bob Orton Jr)
Vendetta took control early and actually outmuscled, and outwitted, Hall keeping him off his feet both figuartively and literally. When they did get to their feet Vendetta nailed Hall with a German suplex, then worked a bearhug.
Finally Hall got the advantage by shooting a knee into the gut on the champ during a rope break. He nailed a couple forearm uppercuts, wrapped Vendetta's arm around the top rope and began to work it over. A hammerlock eventually into a slam, followed by an armbar, and several armbreakers. Back to the hammerlock to try and get the submission but Vendetta got to the ropes.
Instead of breaking clean though Hall tried to inflict more punishment on the arm, which drew a left fist from Vendetta, but in the enusing fisticuffs the champ found himself outgunned two healthy fists to one. So the champ went to kicks instead, then a pair of dropkicks, the second one sending Hall out of the ring.
When the challenger tried to bide time with delays finally Steele could take no more and went over to try and expedite matters. This just fed into Orton and Hall's plans though and as Lane worried about Steele, the villians managed to tie the champ up in the ropes. While Orton held onto the champ, Scott came off the ropes and drove his knee into...Vendetta moved..and Hall drove his knee into Orton and drove him off the ring apron.
The champ scooped up Hall into a fireman's carry and dumped him to the mat. He pointed to Steele and then came off the ropes and nailed Hall with the running kneelift (Steele's finisher), and covered for 1, 2 KICKOUT!
Vendetta followed up with a German suplex, and two running shoulderblocks, made the pin, 1, 2, Orton reached in and put Hall's leg over the bottom rope.
Steele once again came over to fight Orton which distracted Buddy Lane. Orton slid a steel chair into the ring unknown to Lane.
But Vendetta was the fresher man so this backfired. Hall tried to pick up the chair but the champ stomped on it, crushing Hall's fingers under the chair. But when he picked Hall up the desperate challenger slammed him in the groin with a knee.
Referee Buddy Lane turned around having seperated the managers to find both men down and a steel chair in the ring. He kicked the chair out and began the slow 10 count.
Hall was up first at the count of 5. He landed a bodyslam, a legdrop, for a 2 count. He then went to work with a couple of jabs, and then a discus punch for another 2 count. Finally he took Vendetta over to the corner to nail him with the second rope bulldog, but the champ countered with an atomic drop. He followed up with a spinebuster. After taking a few seconds to catch his breath he nailed Hall with a dropkick, a flying shoulderblock, and then in the middle of the ring his DDT finisher.
Jack Steele ran over to pull Orton off the ring apron as he tried to get into the ring. And Buddy Lane counted the 1, 2, 3 !!
Vendetta defeated Scott Hall by pinfall after a DDT at 12:13

Handi-cap Match
Ricky Rice defeated Bad Company by pinfall when he pinned Paul Diamond after a top rope flying dropkick at 7:29
-typical handi-cap match with Rice starting strong only to fall victim to a double team. He then took a beating for a few minutes and even looked to tag out at one point, too dazed to realize he was on his own. However, at the right time with the tag champs getting in a little double teaming, Rice's injured tag partner Derrick Dukes came down and tripped up Diamond. Rice took care of Tanaka sending him over the top rope where Dukes wailed away at him on the floor, and then Rice climbed to the top rope and finished off Diamond.
Interview:
Ricky Rice & Derrick Dukes say that Duke's injury is progerssing nicely and he should be back in 3 weeks. Union Jack & Gabriel Argos defeated Bryan St. John & Terry Orndorff when Argos made Orndorff submit to the figure-fout at 9:11
-the European champions controlled the majority of this match and looked very strong technically throughout the bout. They also worked well as a team with quick tags and short double teams. They made some headway tonight in getting the fans behind them and believing they may be able to beat Bad Company.
Interview:
Union Jack & Gabriel Argos say they hope to win the RCW tag titles on November 6th, and if they do they will have a hard decision to make on whether their future lies with RCW or Europe. However, if they don't win the titles then they will be heading back to Europe but should return one day to River City.
Interview:
Bob Orton & Scott Hall come to the ring. They say that Steele and Vendetta have shown their limited intelligence, their brains gone to mush by pandering to the idiotic fans. The two men laugh at their opponents tonight for locking themselves in a cage with two men who just don't give a damn about what happens to their opponents. Orton says Vendetta is right, the title is on the line tonight, but to be even more to the point, two careers are on the line tonight. Steel Cage Tag Team Match
Vendetta & Jack Steele v Cowboy Bob Orton Jr & Scott Hall
Things started great for the fan favorites as they countered the villians one move after another and making quick tags. But Hall finally managed to turn things around and got the advantage on Jack Steele. The man who hails from the Republic of Texas then spent a few minutes playing Ricky Morton. But when Orton tried to send him head first into the cage Steele countered by pushing Orton to the wall instead. A quick tag out and Vendetta came in the proverbial house o' fire, sending Scott Hall and Orton head first into the cage wall. He then worked over Orton with a scissors kick, flying shoulderblock, and a German suplex for a 2 count before Hall, now busted open, broke up the count with a boot to the head. A four man brawl errupted and Hall managed to send Steele shoulder first into the ringpost, and then he and Orton double teamed Vendetta, sending him flying hard into the cage. Now both Hall and Vendetta were wearing the crimson mask.
Orton tagged out to Hall who worked over Vendetta with a vertical suplex, a bulldog, a spinebuster, and then tried to finish him with a sleeperhold but the champ got to the ropes for a break. Vendetta fought back with elbows etc but Orton entered the ring distracting the ref so when he turned back around he disallowed the tag to Steele as he hadn't seen it. Hall then nailed Vendetta with a bulldog from the second buckle, and covered for 1, 2 Kickout!
Hall tagged out to Orton who attacked with forearms, kicks, and then an abdominal stretch. The Kansas native still couldn't put Vendetta away so he set up for the piledriver. But he spent too much time taunting Steele as he held the champ in the standing headscissors, so by the time he tried to pick up the champ, Vendetta countered with a backbody drop so close to the ropes that Orton hit the steel cage.
Both men were down and tried to crawl to their corners. Steele got the tag, but Hall did not as Steele dragged Orton into the ring and put him into a drop toehold. Hall then came running over for a legdrop but Steele moved out of the way and Orton took the legdrop instead. Steele went to town on Orton with a fistdrop, and a belly-to-belly suplex. He tried for his running kneelift finisher but Hall ran over and coldcocked him as he hit the ropes.
This brought Vendetta in for a brief 4 man brawl, but Orton and Hall were in no shape to give too much resistance. The two fan favorites sent Hall smashing head first into the cage wall. Then Vendetta got the tag in from Steele and hit Orton with his DDT finisher to get the duke.

He then hit him with a discus punch, before nailing the bulldog for the tainted win.
Post-Match:
Vendetta abandoned his fight outside the ring and chased Hall away. He then tended to his fallen partner and took his frustrations out on the canvas with his hands.

Main Event

Opening Bout:
Tonight will be the #1 contender match with the winner going on to face the tag champs in two weeks. The Top Guns hope they will be in line for a title shot when they return no matter if it is Bad Company, Union Jack & Gabriel Argos, or Wonderfully Fabulous.

Vendetta & Jack Steele are shown behind a steel cage. Steele says this feud with Orton and Hall is not over despite the match results last week. It's time for this one to come to an end, and it can only be done in a steel cage. Vendetta says that make no mistake about it, although its not written in the program, the RCW Heavyweight title is on the line tonight.

Bout #2
#1 Contenders Match
Hall says the next time Steele will be shouting "Texas Forever" it'll be from a damn wheelchair.

Rogue talks more nonsense about crippling Vendetta. He makes it clear that as the TV champion he should get the next title shot.

Main Event
Vendetta & Jack Steele defeated Bob Orton Jr & Scott Hall by pinfall when Vendetta pinned Orton after a DDT at 13:52
That's it for another edition of River City Wrestling.
