This feel good drama about redemption and social values features Drake, a high flying CFO who recently went through a divorce and a job firing when busted for soliciting a prostitute. Rebuilding his life from scratch and therapy for Drake included taking up running, where one day he had a brief encounter with another runner, a teacher at an inner city school.
As Drake's runs become longer he found himself running through the very same rough streets where he had been busted. It then starts when one young boy decides to run alongside him and soon Drake finds himself buying shoes and snacks for 1, then 2, then 4 kids. Out of his league and drawing the eyes of the local dealers Drake turns to the teacher he met (Rob) for help, and the two of them form a running group with the goal of keeping the kids out of trouble.
The road you leave behind is just another that you'll have to go back down.
