Bout #6
RCW Tag Team Title Match
Masked Superstar & Super Destroyer defeated Joe & Dean Malenko by pinfall when SD pinned Joe after a double stuff piledriver at 12:07
[Superstar & Destroyer retained the RCW Tag Titles]
-the title threat from the Malenkos went out with a whimper not a bang, as the titles were never in serious jeopardy. This masked tag team is very aggressive and dominant and it will take a fabulous team to take the belts from them.
Interview:
RCW Heavyweight champion Jerry Blackwell comes out to a vicious round of jeers from the crowd. First off Blackwell declares the age of Brunzell to be finished, he's dead like all the rest of the dinosaurs. He says the former champ is out for the second time this year with cracked ribs. Moving on now to other challengers...he pauses...then laughs. Who?
When Ron Strong mentions David Schultz's name Blackwell just gets angry. He says Schultz was supposed to do a job and he didn't get the job done. If he can't even get a win in a title bout when he is the referee how is he going to get one when he is the challenger?
This of course brings Schultz out. He is passed the microphone by Strong, but just looks at it for a second, before going right after Blackwell with a fist to the head. The fans actually cheer Dr. D as the two men brawl until RCW officials can come out and break it up.
Main Event
Tournament Final for the vacant RCW Television Title
Ben Bassarab defeated Chris Lyon by pinfall after a flying crossbody block at 12:24
[Ben Bassarab wins the RCW TV Title]
-excellent match with two guys that can chain wrestle, ground wrestle, and fly. Bassarab prefered to fly and Lyon prefered to brawl. Bassarab countered a slingshot suplex attempt by sliding off and landing on the ring apron, and then taking Lyon down with a sunset flip. Lyon went right to the eyes of the former TV champ, and then tried to be cheeky and nail a flying crossbody block (his opponent's finisher). But Bassarab ducked away. Although both men are considered rulebreakers the fans were strongly behind Bassarab. When Bassarab came off the ropes Bobby Duncum had come down to the ring and the ref George Gadasky did not see him trip up Bassarab. This brought out Wahoo McDaniel who went right after Duncum, driving him away from the ring. Back inside the temporary advantage from the trip was squandered by Lyon who was too busy worrying about McDaniel. Bassarab dropkicked him from behind into the buckle and then came off the 2nd turnbuckle with an elbowdrop. He then used his finisher to end the match and regain the TV title that he lost to Jerry Blackwell.

Bout #6
Non-title Match
Ben Bassarab and Brad Armstrong battled to a 20-minute time limit draw.
-these two battled in the air and on the mat, inside the ring and outside. Neither man seemed to gain an advantage for more then a minute. Bassarab twice tried to nail Armstrong with the flying crossbody block and both times Armstrong ducked away. Armstrong also tried to finish off Bassrab, the TV champ, with the side Russian legsweep, only to be blocked and countered with a hip toss. As the seconds wound down Armstrogn was working the champ over with some spinning toe holds but couldn't finish him off.

RCW Heavyweight Title Match
Jerry Blackwell v David Schultz
Schultz tried to attack Blackwell before the bell but the champ was ready for it. He threw Schultz in the corner, peppered him with some shots, only to have Schultz spin him into the corner and return the favor. He tried to biel the behemoth out of the corner which was a mistake. Blackwell held his ground and then gave Dr D an elbow right between the eyes.
The two continued to brawl like this and the fans while solidly behind Schultz had to enjoy seeing both these guys take damage. Schultz' started to bleed after Blackwell potatoed him with a fist over the eyebrow. This was quite a bleeder and looked like it would be Schultz' downfall.
Referee Gadasky tried to seperate the two so he could look at the cut, but when he tried this Schultz wrapped a meaty hand around his neck and threw him through the ropes to the floor below.
Jerry Blackwell defeated David Schultz by disqualifcation for abuse of official at 8:43
[Jerry Blackwell retains the RCW Heavyweight Title]
Post-Match
The two men continued to brawl, and it spilled outside. Schultz was a bloody mess and his legs were weak and shaky from blood loss. Blackwell scooped him up and bodyslammed him onto the announce table. Schultz rolled off and ddin't move.

Bout #2
Bob Backlund defeated Mighty Mo by pinfall after an atomic drop at 5:50
-Mo, an area strongman and weightlifter, wrestled a clean match with the former WWWF World champion. While he was outclassed in wrestling skills by Backlund, it was also a chance for Bob to show the RCW fans just how deceptively strong he is as well.
Bout #3
Super Destroyer defeated Brad Rheinghans by pinfall after a piledriver at 7:40
-very even match. SD took advantage of a situation to ram Rheinghans head first into the ringpost and this allowed him to finish the match with his piledriver.
Bout #4
Larry Hennig defeated Masked Superstar by disqualification for using a foreign object at 6:32
-it was obvious that Hennig had his half of the tag champions beat but Superstar produced a chain that he used on Hennig in front of the ref to avoid a pinfall loss.

Promo;
Marty Goldstein comes out. He says that normally he would suspend David Schultz for abusing an official like he did last week, throwing Gadasky out of the ring. However, what he has planned is even more of a punishment. In tonight's main event David Schultz will wrestle against two men, Chris Lyon & Bobby Duncum in a handi-cap match. If Schultz can win that match then he will get a rematch against Jerry Blackwell for the title.
Bout #5
King Tonga & Yoshiaki Yatsu (/w Mr. Ho) defeated Wahoo McDaniel & Man Mountain Mike by pinfall when Tonga pinned MMM after a thrust kick at 8:56
-like last week with Brian Jewel, Wahoo has yet to find himself a tag partner to replace Larry Hennig that can get the job done.
Bout #6
Canadian Women's Title Match
Strap Match
Corrie England and The Red Fox battled to a double pinfall at 10:59
[Corrie England retains the Canadian Women's Title]
-vicious strap match that saw each lady whip the other like a rented mule. The end came when Fox came jumping off the top rope but Corrie was ready for her. They collided hard smashing heads and went down. Each landed on her back with their arms flayed across each other. As Kenny Jay applied the count the fans knew that one of them had only to lift a shoulder blade to win the match, but it never happened. Both girls stayed down for the 3 count. This double count is a first in RCW's 6 year history.
Main Event
Handi-cap Match
Chris Lyon & Bobby Duncum defeated David Schultz by pinfall after a double stuff piledriver and some outside interference at 13:03
-for over 8 minutes Schultz was on the verge of losing this match. His head wound from last week was opened up again, he looked weak, and gave very little offense in the last 5-6 minutes. It was one near fall after another. The turning point came when Jerry Blackwell came down to the ring and distracted referee Kenny Jay. This allowed Duncum to grab his cowbell and ~waffle~ Schultz, knocking him out. They then set him up and with Lyon coming off the top turnbuckle pushign down on Schultz' boots, Duncum nailed the piledriver.
Post-Match:
Lyon, Duncum, and Blackwell all began to lay the boots into David Schultz. After about a minute it was Larry Hennig and Bob Backlund who came out to make the save. However, after driving the rulebreakers away, rather then check on Schultz, they just looked at him and left the ring while he lay face up, his face a crimson mask.

Opening Bout:
Tawney England defeated Jewel DeNile by pinfall after a hairplane spin at 5:40
-squash match
Bout #2
Chris Lyon defeated Tod Hestrerey by disqualification for use of a foreign object at 2:24
-very strange occurence in this match. The usually methodical and inpersonal Hestrerey went off the deep end. Lyon did his usual cheating methods but nothing more then most of the RCW rulebreakers that Hestrerey has faced have done in the past. But Tod lost it for some reason and from out of the ring he grabbed Lyon by the ankles, yanked him down and out of the ring and then proceeded in plain view of the referee to nail him with a steel chair and get the DQ. To make matters worse he hit him a 2nd time with the chair. He then seemed to come to his senses, threw the chair to the ground and left a mostly stunned audience.

Pre-Match:
Brian Jewel came to the ring. He said that Wahoo seems to think he wasn't a good enough partner for him, and he dumped him for Man Mountain Mike? He accuses McDaniel of betraying someone of the same heritage, Native Canadian in the pursuit of gold.
Wahoo comes out and basically says "who are you to challenge or doubt me? What have you accomplished? How many arenas have you sold out?". He accepts the match.
Bout #3
Wahoo McDaniel defeated Brian Jewel by pinfall after the tomahawk chop at 6:31
-Wahoo pounded away at the younger and smaller opponent. He was vicious and never relented. He could have won this bout around the 4 minute mark easy but continued the punishment for a couple more minutes. After the match Wahoo tossed Jewel out of the ring as if throwing out the trash.
The fans have probably started to wonder if there is something in the water tonight.
Bout #4
Bobby Duncum defeated Bob Backlund by pinfall after a bulldog and some outside interference at 9:36
-Backlund controlled the last 5 minutes of this match but Duncum managed to hang on. He tried to bulldog Backlund but it was countered with an atomic drop which sent Duncum straight into ref George Gadasky knocking him out. This gave an opportunity for Chris Lyon to enter the ring and while Backlund was checking on Gadasky Lyon Pearl Harboured him from behind. Duncum recovered and they nailed a double flying clothesline. Gadasky woke up after Lyon vacated and Duncum hit the bulldog to make it official.

-a fairly clean win for a change for the Women's champ.
Post-Match:
Corrie is interviewed and indicates that her fall itenirary is quite busy, and that because she will be defending her Canadian title from coast to coast that her apperances in RCW may be slim for a while. The fans give a mixed reaction to that news. Corrie also indicates that she has beaten all the local talent and that RCW should use the next couple months to nurture some new talent.

Bout #6
RCW Television Title Match
Ben Bassarab v Brad Armstrong
This was a rematch from two weeks ago where they battled to a 20-minute draw. Bassarab started strong with some chops, and then worked a reverse chinlock. He didn't seem to have a game plan though so his assault stalled and Armstrong used a springboard out of the corner to level the champ. He went to work with a series of hiptosses until Bassarab took a powder out of the ring. The champ was so dizzy that he had trouble recovering to break the 10 count. Armstrong then went to work with a series of dropkicks, nailing the champ everytime he would get back up. Finally he just stayed down and Armstrong nailed him with a knee to the small of the back instead. Bassarab tried to call for time in the corner before being monkey flipped out.
The champ though turned things around by catching the challenger with a drop toe hold and then worked a side chinlock. He then changed into a front chancery that he slipped into a chokehold several times. Armstrong worked his way to his feet only to have Bassarab practically lift him off his feet with the front chinlock before he could work it to the ropes. The champ swiftly grabbed Armstrong and threw him through the ropes to the floor below.
Eight minutes into the match and the action went to the floor as Bassarab followed him out. He threw him into the guardrail, then slid in to break the count, gave him a bodyslam and then a double stomp to the lower back, slid in to break the count, then came off the ring apron with a knee drop to the lower back. This time he slid Armstrong into the ring. Bassarab climbed to the top and tried to nail another kneedrop to the lower back but Armstrong rolled out of the way.
Getting to their feet both men threw a dropkick, smashing feet and legs together. Armstrong seemed to get the worse of it and came up favouring a knee. The champ went right to work on the knee first working it by smashing it off the mat, stomping on it, and then off the ring apron. He then went for the figure-four but was too close to the ropes and Armstrong got the break. Bassarab continued on the knee with a pair of knee breakers. He tossed the challenger out of the ring hoping to cause more damage on the landing. Armstrong was badly hurt and Bassarab stayed back forcing Armstrong to hobble back into the ring to break the count just before 10.
The champ stomped the knee once again and then tossed Armstrong through the ropes once again. This time though Bassarab followed Armstrong out of the ring but instead of going after his opponent his action was instead to grab the wooden ringsteps and dragging them further away from the ring, leaving them on the walkway to the ring. This made it more difficult for Armstrong to enter the ring. He had to use his arms more to pull himself up and this left him open for a dropkick through the ropes and into his abdomen, knocking him back out of the ring.
We are 15 minutes into the match.
The same thing happened a second time with Armstrong trying to haul himself into the ring and Bassarab giving him a dropkick to the gut and knocking him back down to the ground. The fans were really jeering Bassarab at this point but he clearly did not care.
Armstrong appeared to be pulling himself up for a 3rd time but this time when the champ went for the dropkick, Armstrong deftly let go of the middle rope with his hand and tried to lay flat, back on the ring apron. Bassarab's feet sailed betwen the ropes, and he crashed hard on the ring apron knocking Armstrong to the floor.
The challenger managed to get to his knees while Bassarab still lay recovering. He grabbed onto the champ and hauled him down to the floor. He then used him like a step and hauled himself very slowly back into the ring.
Referee Kenny Jay applied the count and Bassarab just barely managed to get back into the ring before the 10 count. Both men were now heavily favoring knees.
Armstrong tried to scoop up the champ for a kneebreaker but his own legs gave out and they crashed to the mat with Bassarab on top, for 1, 2, Kickout.
The ring announcer says 2 minutes remain in the match.
Armstrong uses the ropes to aid him to his feet and then kicks out with his bad leg and catches Bassarab in the gut. He tries to explode out with a clothesline, but pretty much falls into Bassarab knocking him to the ground. Both men struggle to their feet again and Armstrong goes for another clothesline, but again there is very little power behind it and Bassarab manages to grab the arm of Armstrong and then take him down to the mat with a legsweep. He covers, and gets 1, 2, kickout.
Bassarab puts Armstrong in an armbar. The challenger tries to get out of it by getting it his feet but the champ is able to yank him back down to the mat becasue his legs still don't have their usual power. It looks like the simple armbar may be enough for the champ to get the submission.
Time expires.
Ben Bassarab and Brad Armstrong fought to a 20-minute time limit draw.

Chris Lyon defeated Joe Apollo by submission to the Boston crab at 4:51
-squash match
Post-match:
No sooner had the referee's hand slapped the third count then Dr. D David Schultz hit the ring, sliding under the bottom rope. He went right after Lyon, kicking him, and stomping away with impunity. The only thing that saved Lyon from a worse beating was that he managed to roll out of the ring and the referee Wyatt Hall held Schultz back.
Interview:
David Schultz tells Ron Strong that he's not done with Chris Lyon, Bobby Duncum, or Jerry Fatwell yet. He tells Duncum that he mayhave grown up in a trailer park himself but that even trailer park trash make fun of the inbred idiots from West Texas. Turning his attention to Lyon he suggests that he go back to playing Dungeons & Dragons in his parents basement and leave the wrestling to the men. Finally, he tells Fatwell that wherever he goes, Dr D will be there too, like his own private doctor. But instead of giving him a prescription for pain, he will prescribe his own version of pain. This of course brings Schultz out. He is passed the microphone by Strong, but just looks at it for a second, before going right after Blackwell with a fist to the head. The fans actually cheer Dr. D as the two men brawl until RCW officials can come out and break it up.

Promo;

Schultz asks Strong what;s more painful then a giraffe with a sore throat? Jerry Fatwell with a pain in the butt...and guess what Fatwell....you have a new pain in the butt...and his name is David Schultz.
