Sit-com set in America during World War II, where a young Army intelligence officer Capt. Lou Hatley begins a covert operation using a unique group of mental patients with high IQ's to try and break Nazi coded telegraphs. He is assisted sometimes and thwarted other times by the patients' doctor, Dr. Samuel Ives who while wanting to help his country is also worried about the security of his patients. Specifically that now that they have been exposed to secrets they will never be allowed to leave the hospital again.
This show will combine features of zany comedy resulting from the behaviour of the patients, to black humour in the relationships between doctor, army officer, country, and defenceless citizen. The patients have a unique way of looking at life, a complex sense of humour and dignity, and they understand the issues and the question of the price of freedom more then anyone could ever imagine.
To make matters more complex one of the patients is Mary Hatley, Capt. Lou's sister, and their father, a retired Army Col. is also torn between love of family and country.
