Above Average Joe

Joe Potenza had his whole life mapped out; military service and training, college degree paid for by Uncle Sam, then a career as a highly paid private contractor. Then his sister, a single mother of 3, was killed by a drunk driver, leaving the children orphaned. Joe never hesitated to leave his dreams behind to move back to his hometown of Los Angeles to take care of his family. It was dedication and righteousness like that which had earned him the ironic nickname of "Above Average" by his fellow Army Rangers.
Not one to sit idly by and let his dreams go, he takes a job set up by his former paramilitary employer as a bodyguard in Hollywood.
Soon enough he is asked to consult on some action scenes drawing on his military experience, and before you know it is begining to write script dialogue to make it realistic for the big screen.
Now Above Average Joe Potenza finds himself balancing his burgeoning career in tinseltown with caring for his emotionally shattered nieces and nephew. Everyday is a challenge for Joe as he puts up with the flakes at work, and the demands at his new home.
And to make matters worse he is torn between two potential love interests; a struggling blonde bombshell actress and a hometown Italian girl next door.
