Do Over
status; ordered to script
genre; drama/paranormal
Do you ever wonder why certain people just always seem to make the right decisions in life, and no matter the situation come out smelling like roses? If you had to live your life over again many people say they would not change a thing, but would they really? Do we not learn from our mistakes?
Two romantically involved doctorate students in philosophy undergo a research project and thesis that studies these elite decision makers compared to the norms of society. They attract the attention of the college's legendary paranormal researcher who puts them onto a new path, the outrageous possibility that these people succeed because they learn from past experiences, because they have lived before. The idea is mind blowing and while anecdotal evidence piles up it is a neuroscience student with access to advanced DNA screening who is able to prove the theory, finding the experiences hard coded in the DNA, and matching the DNA to people who have died.
Just when the small group is about to reveal what will be a paradigm shifting revelation for mankind and religion, the elite subjects and other elite's not even in the study have a Darwin like preservation reaction to the study and will do anything to stop the information from being revealed ~ including the destruction of the team.
In a world of high achievers at the college, as well as politicians, media, and even law enforcement the group doesn't know who they can trust; and who wants them dead.
