This is just my personal analysis of the various network up fronts based on my own viewing and taste. By no means is it an analysis of what I think the networks should do (unless their only goal is to attract me as a viewer) ;D
FOX
The following is a list of shows I will watch or at least check out.
Monday; Sleepy Hollow (9pm new Fall) ; I will likely start this as a regular watch, we'll see if it sticks. The last couple of Fox shows I liked were Alcatraz and Fringe, and this is along those same lines.
Tuesday; Brooklyn Nine-Nine (8:30pm new Fall); I love Andre Braugher but not sure about this cop "comedy". It could be the next Barney Miller or the next Cop Rock. I will likely start by putting it on the PVR.
Mid-Season Thursday; Rake (9pm new; midseason) Greg Kinnear in a dramedy legal, kind of like replacing Kathy Bates and Harry's Law except probably a bit more in your face. Depending on schedule I will either start this as regular watching or PVR it.
Gang Related; cool premise, kind of a reverse thing where a gang sends a member to infiltrate the police, and of course his loyalties get divided when he begins to care about his brothers in blue.
Wayward Pines; M Night Shyamalan, enough for me to check it out. Reminds me of the short lived Push, Nevada.
Fox Sports Saturday is usually pretty good when they have NCAA Football instead of NASCAR, but in pretty tough against my Hockey Night in Canada.
Props; Sunday; The Simpsons (8pm; returning) The only returning Fox show I might consider watching but its time slot sucks for me so I never seem to watch in anymore, maybe one episode a year. However, since it is so iconic I could not let it go without mention.
And finally Props even if it is not until Summer 2014 for bringing back "24" with Jack Bauer!!
What's Not in the Line-up; Cancelled shows; There were no Fox shows last year that I watched regularly at all, so none will be missed. I watched the finale of Fringe but really hadn't watched it since Season 3. And I'm still bitter about Alcatraz being cancelled the year before. But there were no bad cancellations or endings this year because I didn't care at all about them.
Missed Pilots; (ones I would have liked to have seen picked up) None. They actually picked up the ones i wanted (Rake, Sleepy Hollow, Gang Related) and Wayward Pines and Brooklyn Nine-Nine are nice surprises. Glad they did not pick up Delirium or The List.
Summary; Well last year Fox had no shows on my regular viewing schedule. This year they start with 1 1/2 hours with 3 more hours of mid-season programming to watch as well.
Big wins for FOX.
My expected show ranking (including returning shows) not including sports
1 Sleepy Hollow 2 Rake 3 Gang Related 4 Wayward Pines 5 Brooklyn Nine-Nine 6 The Simpsons

NBC
The following is a list of shows I will watch or at least check out.
Wednesday; 8:00pm returning; Law & Order:SVU I hadn't watched this show much in the past number of years as I found it to be so exploitive. But with the lack of other good shows, a freshening of the cast, some great stories last season, and the fact that Criminal Minds became unwatchable; it became a "sometimes" show for me again. I probably watched between 8-10 episodes last year.
Friday; 10pm Dracula (new) Horror shows and Friday nights have always gone together. Other networks get this, and now NBC does too.
Sunday; Sunday Night Football. Depending on the match-up I tend to watch some of this or all of it.
Mid-Season Friday; 10pm. Crossbones replaces Dracula, and I will be watching live or on PVR.
Props; Biggest Loser; The transformations are amazing, Jillian Michaels is awesome, the show is entertaining, but I just can't stand watching most reality shows, so I tend to only watch some of the finales.
Ironside; there is a slim chance I might watch this show if others disappoint and it looks like it is going to stay around.
Michael J Fox show; great that they are doing this but not something I want to watch; Alex P Keaton will remain one of my favourite characters of all time.
The Winter Olympics. I'll mostly be watching the Canadian feed but some NBC as well.
What's Not in the Line-up; Shows that ended; The Office. It was time to go, but will still be missed. 30 Rock. Hardly watched it but when I did, really enjoyed it.
Pilots not picked up that I would have watched Then Came Elvis. set in the 80's from the son's perspective.
~Untitled Rand Ravich Project Washington, D.C.-set drama about an idealistic secret service agent who finds himself at the epicenter of an international crisis on his first day on the job
Untitled Craig Robinson Project. Craig is always good.
Summary; NBC has been better for me then most people but is taking a step backward last year and this year. Might be 2 hours of non-sports programs I watch, and no comedies.
My expected show rankings
1 Crossbones 2 Law & Order SVU 3 Dracula 4 The Michael J Fox Show

ABC
The following is a list of shows I will watch or at least check out.
Tue: 8pm NEW , Marvel's Agents of SHIELD...super heroes are way over exposed. I will likely PVR the pilot but I would think there is a very small chance this will become a show I watch.
Tue: 9pm NEW, The Goldbergs. Love that its set in the 80's but sitcoms are much more hit or miss then Dramas. I would think this is less then a 50/50 shot of it becoming regular viewing.
Sat: College football, in tough against Hockey Night in Canada and FOX Saturday sports.
Sun 10pm Betrayal NEW. Sounds like it might work for me, but so did 666 from last year. I'll check it out.
So boy, no real new shows I am totally sold on, and no returning shows. Ouch.
Mid-Season; The Quest. I love it, but now I'm screwed because I had already announced a similar concept for my network for NEXT year, 2014-15, and now I've been scooped and have to wonder if I really thought it up myself or heard about this one, and unintentionally conjured it up.
What's not in the line-up? Cancelled shows; Last Resort. Hands down my favourite new show of last year, dead, but at least they allowed it to go out with a proper wrap-up.
Missing Pilots (ones I would have liked to have seen them pick up). Middle Age Rage. The kids on the show sounded hilariously real, and the Mom reminded me of mine from Tuesday's Gone.
Big Thunder. As a fan of Disney, the ride, and period pieces the whole family can watch, I am very disappointed this wasn't picked up, if not by the network then by ABC family. The synergies just seemed to strong to ignore.
On the other hand I am so glad that Gothica and Westside did not get picked up!
Summary; Well last season I had 2 shows to watch Last Resort and 666 Park, and the later I only bothered with 2 episodes before giving up. This season does not offer much new especially when compared to FOX and NBC.
My expected show ranking (including returning shows) not including sports 1. The Quest 2. The Goldbergs 3. Betrayal 4. Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D

CBS
The following is a list of shows I will watch or at least check out.
Wed; 9pm Criminal Minds. Used to be one of my favourite shows but the last 2 seasons have become way too over the top and exploitive. Still the cast is great, and if CSI could reinvent themselves then maybe CM can too, so might check out an episode or two.
Wed; 10pm CSI. What a comeback with Elisabeth Shue and Ted Danson. I pretty much watch every episode now live or PVR.
Thu: 8pm. the Big Bang Theory. My favourite sit-com on TV, and perhaps my fav show now.
Thu 9pm (NEW) The Crazy Ones. Robin Williams and SMG, what a tremendous cast. Really looking forward to this one.
Props; The Mentalist Sun 10pm. Good show just have never made it a regular thing for me.
What's not in the line-up; Cancelled shows; Vegas. I loved the cast and the quirky time period stories. Will be missed.
Missing Pilots (ones I wish they would have picked up). Bad Teacher. I never saw the movie, figured it would just be vulgar, but I figured it would be good for TV.
Super Clyde. Would have loved to have seen Ron Weasley (Rupert Gint) in his own show.
Backstrom; Really too bad as Canadian creator Hart Hanson is one of the best at creating ensemble casts, and Rainn Wilson would have fit the title row wonderfully. That's 2 pilots he's had passed on this season.
Beverly Hills Cop. Like Big Thunder over at ABC I would have thought this was a lock to be on the schedule.
Summary; ABC is heavy on storytelling dramas, but to me they are all way too generic. The pilots I liked but they passed on would have been a fresh start instead.
ABC swung and missed.
My expected show ranking (including returning shows) not including sports
1. Big Bang Theory 2. CSI 3. The Crazy Ones 4. Criminal Minds 5 .The Mentalist

CW
The following is a list of shows I will watch or at least check out.
Thu 9pm; Reign (New), show based on Mary Queen of Scots, could be interesting, seems like a big departure from what CW normally does. Will PVR the first couple and see from there.
..and that's all.
Props; I had checked out Arrow last year, its okay, but not good enough to get me to watch.
What's not in the line-up; Cancelled; I found "The Cult" too late and only saw part of 1 episode and it was already destined to be cancelled...but the concept was pretty cool, reminded me of "Killer Net"
Missed pilots; Company Town; drama about the aftermath of a sexual assault scandal at a Naval base in Norfolk, Virginia.
Summary; No progress for CW
Expected show rankings; 1. Reign
and that's all
