In Truth; 2013-14 Season Preview
Liberty Television has announced that the drama "In Truth" will return for its second season on September 19th in its Thursday night time slot at 10pm.
The main storylines last season involved the protagonist Irving Dunbar (Michael McGrady) a veteran reporter picking up the sniff of political corruption around congressman Wainright (J.C. MacKenzie) and the death of his intern Raquel McQueen at the hands of his editor Titus. In the second season just as Dunbar loses the trail it picks up again through some illegal union activities which have him hunting down the union bosses, but also finds links again to Wainright and the dirty construction business. His new editor Henry Hartwell (Sandy Helberg) is more amicable then Titus, while his new intern Hobey Portes (Gideon Glick) not as bright as his last one Raquel. His love interest in Raquel's mother Corinna (Kim Delany) and his nemesis in house Francine Kaplan (Caroline Jaden Stussi) also complicate his life.
The show's ratings dipped from a premiere of 1.3 down to the 1.1 and 1.2 range, before bouncing back to the 1.3 range. The season low was in episode 6 on November 8th which garnered a 1.1/3 4.62 rating, while the high was the pilot episode which did a 1.3/4 6.42 rating. One ratings trend was the lowering of the total viewers while the demos stayed the same, showing the departure of many of the older viewers.
The competition in that time slot was Scandal on ABC, Elementary on CBS, and Rock Center, Do No Harm, and Hannibal on NBC. Considering that low level of competition network executives had really hoped for a bigger breakthrough hit then they earned with In Truth. This season the competition remains the same except for Parenthood moving to this time slot to shore it up for NBC. It is possible that in its second season In Truth has that breakthrough but most people asked believe the show will have to pick up its ratings to at least the 1.4 ratings range to stay around for a 3rd season. There have also been multiple reports of a difficult cast mix to handle as well as a writing group who are having trouble maintaining the standard of human intrigue that the network is looking for.
The show has not yet received a full 22 episode order, only the initial 9 episodes.

Another Teen Vampire Show; 2013-14 Season Preview
Liberty television has announced that Another Teen Vampire Show will return for its 2nd season on September 16th at 8:30pm as part of the Monday night 2 hour sit-com block.
The satarical show features Juliet (Cree Ivey) and her brother Austin (Brett Kelly) who live with their square dentist father "Dad" (Patrick Fabian) having moved to Idyllic, California after the death of their mother "Mom" (Stacey Dash). The teens soon find that the town is not ideal and is over run with vampires, werewolves and other things that go bump in the night. At the end of season 1 Juliet discovers that their deceased Mother is apparently a Vampire now in Idyllic. New this season will also be 3 new female neighbors who all meddle in the family business while hiding their real motives.
The show's demos started okay with a 1.1, immediately dropped to a 0.9 for episode 2 but soon picked up to the 1.2 range, with a few 1.3 thrown in for good measure. The ratings low occured on October 1st episode 3 which scored a 0.9/2 3.60, while the season high was episode 1.14 on Jan 21st which scored a 1.3/3 4.50. The show's average rating for the season's 22 episode run ended up being 1.15 demo in the same Monday 8:30pm time slot that it returns to for its sophmore season. Most industry observers belive the show needs to maintain its end ratings of around a 1.2 demo to get renewed, and possibly even need to rise to the 1.4 range.
The competition in that slot last year was Dancing with the Stars on ABC, Partners/encores/Rules of Engagement on CBS, 90210/Carrie Diaries on CW, Bones on FOX, The Voice/Biggest Loser on NBC. It was an interesting timeslot for ATVS because it was weak except for reality shows and had an opportunity to score with the younger viewers that the show was aiming for. It was also fortunate when it ran against a weak CBS follow up from the 8pm How I Met Your Mother. Finally it also ran against CW's 90210, which along with Everwood and Teen Wolf were the most lampooned shows on ATVS.
This season the competition at that same time slot will change a bit with ABC still having DWTS, FOX still with Bones, and NBC still having The Voice. However, CBS has tapped We Are Men as the newest sit-com to follow HIMYM, and CW puts in Hart of Dixie. FOX has also shown that Bones will be replaced mid-season by new show Almost Human. Overal it doesn't appear that the timeslot has become more competitive and the Liberty TV executive suite fully expects ATVS to improve on its ratings and score the 1.4 they are looking for.
Behind the scenes the show remains the same with Craig Mazin as executive producer and Sarah Cruz as the one who runs the show as Producer.
The show has somewhat surprisingly already been given a full 22 episode order.

Anthem; 2013-14 Season Preview
Liberty Television has announced that Anthem will return for its 3rd season on September 17th at 8:30pm.
At the end of the last season the characters had scattered and the future of the band looked to be in jeopardy. Morrison had gone to Paris with his wife Betty in search of inspiration, Togo had landed a gig in Japan with the band Madness, Angel's life had changed due to the passing of his freind Croix, and Jim Bob seemed to have turned a corner of sorts turning the garage into a museum for the band.
The show's ratings slowly crept up from 0.7 demos to 1.0 and even a 1.1 to end the year. Episode 1 drew a 0.8/2 2.42, while episode 2 drew a season low 0.7/2 2.15, and the season finale drew a 1.2/3 3.45 in the second half of a double episode send off. While the growth rate saved the show, the feeling is that the show will have to continue to increase ratings and show an average of around 1.4 to be considered for a season 4. Part of the reason behind the goal of a 1.4 rating is that a renewal for season 4 is actually most likely a 2 year committment as seasons 5 are usually an automatic due to syndication reasons. The 22 episode season ended with an average demo of 0.92. Many observers were surprised the show received a renewal but attribute much of that to the poor developmental crop this season.
Anthem is also one of the few Liberty TV shows moving time slots as it moves into the Tuesday 8:30pm time slot to follow Buy More's lead in, last season the show was in the Tuesday 9pm time slot with Buy More following at 9:30. The competition that Anthem faced last year was Happy Endings on ABC, NCIS Los Angeles on CBS, Emily Owens MD/Cult on CW, New Girl on FOX, and Go On on NBC. A very tough time slot for Anthem because of the strength of the NCIS franchise and the number of sit-com's it faced. Thankfully for the show many of the competing sit-com's were axed so when Liberty stood behind it's show it likely picked up migrating viewers.
This season the competition that Anthem will face will be very drama intensive with Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D on ABC, NCIS on CBS, The Originals on CW, Brooklyn Nine-Nine on FOX (the only sit-com competition), and Biggest Loser/The Voice on NBC. While the competition is incredibly tough in this time slot, stiffer then its slot last season, the feeling is that a 1.2-1.4 demo might be achieved due to the lack of sit-com competition.
The show will focus on personal stories and challenges to begin the season. Morrison will return from Paris rejuvinated about his career and his singing hobby, only to get the devastating news that his wife Betty has been unfaithful to him. Togo returns from a disastrous Japanese tour with the desire to renew his relationship with Angel's Mom, and with a much more successful Yoga franchise on his hands. Angel has a new girlfriend who is described as a Yoko Ono type figure, except while there is animosity between her and the rest of the band, the band members agree with her assessment that Angel needs to branch out and take a real shot at a musical career. Jim Bob is going through a long stretch of unemployment and considers selling the house and moving his family into an apartment which would render the band without a place to practice. Once those storylines being to run their course and the band decides to resume, a decision is made to cut an album made up almost entirely of original music. The show will then feature a series of episodes named after a song being cut for the album, and each episode will have a guest star. Those guests will include Keith Richards, Chris Burke-Gaffney, Joan Jett, Robin and Alan Thicke, Justine Bateman, Jeffster, Topher Grace and many more.
The primary cast remains the same as does the behind the scenes crew.
The show has received only a 13 episode order at this point.

Buy More; 2013-14 Season Preview
Liberty Television has announced that Buy More will return for its 2nd season on September 17th in it's new 8pm time slot.
Last season saw the evolution of the store left behind by the departure of Chuck and Sarah from the hit NBC show "Chuck". Jeff, Lester, Big Mike, Morgan, Anna, and Alex all stepped up to take bigger roles and were supplemented by many guest stars both old and new. The end of the season saw Big Mike tie the knot with Morgan's Mom in an explosive ceremony, and by the end a year's worth of slow realization that the store was no longer a CIA front may have become collateral damage.
The show premiered with a 1.4/4 4.06 rating which would also be it's season high. The rest of the year the show oscalated between 1.1 to 1.3 demo ratings with the season low happening for episode 11 on January 15th, the first episode after the Winter break, which scored only a 1.1/2 2.64. The show's 22 episode season averaged a 1.22 demo. The network will be looking for this number to increase to a 1.4 average, even in its new earlier time slot, to be considered for renewal.
Last season Buy More was on Tuesday's at 9:30pm following Anthem, and competing with Don't Trust the B in Apartment 23 on ABC, NCIS Los Angeles on CBS, Emily Owens/Cult on CW, The Mindy Project on FOX, and The New Normal on NBC. The overall strength of the shows in the time slot was weak, however the NCIS franchise strength and the pure number of sit-com's ended up providing stiff competition for the freshman show on Liberty.
This season Buy More will lead in for Anthem at the 8pm slot on Tuesday nights and will face mosty Drama competition with some top notch shows. Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. on ABC, NCIS on CBS, The Originals on CW, Dads on FOX, and the Biggest Loser/The Voice on NBC will test Buy More's customer loyalties.
The show has added many new cast members on trial, story loop basis and will see which characters are worth keeping on. Newlywed Big Mike will leave the Buy More store to pursue his dream of the World Fishing Tour where he becomes fast friends with an old enemy; Hugo Panzer who is also pursuing the same dream. Sultry Tia Texada joins the store as interim Store Manager to replace Big Mike, and it soon becomes apparent that she is using the store, and specifically the Geek Squad to install monitoring devices for the NSA. However, she is able to use her sex appeal to keep most of the crew in line; but of course that creates a problem with Anna. Alex and Morgan's desire to have a normal friendship with another couple seems to become fulfilled when Casey's old apartment is filled by a couple, Craig (Hayes MacArthur) and Michelle (Amy Davidson) and a friendship is formed. However, it soon becomes apparent that this couple is a little off center as Craig's OCD, and Michelle's groupy status come to light. Jeffster also believes that the new old guy in Appliances Guy (John Ennis) is actually Johnny Lovestorm, former lead singer of Lovestorm and try to get him to help them with their musical career.
The show has received a full 22 episode order for the upcoming season.

Global Lock; 2013-14 Season Preview
Liberty Television has announced that Global Lock will return for its 4th season on September 26th 2013 back in its Thursday 8pm slot. Interestingly, of the three Thursday shows it premiers the latest with Detroit 1-8-7 starting on September 12th, and In Truth starting on September 19th.
Last season opened with Rick behind bars, but that didn't stop him from reaching out from Russia and kidnapping Jayson. Dante in particular had a volatile year where his motives and loyalties came into question. Political and corporate intrigue ruled the day at Global Lock, as did a lengthy cross over with the now cancelled "Prince of Motor City".
The show's ratings were sub par, starting at around 0.7 and 0.8 demos but gaining a bit of momentum scoring consistent 1.0 near the end of the year. The season high was the May 9th finale episode 3.22 which drew a 1.0/3 3.45, while the season low in total viewers was episode 1 with 2.35 million while episodes 2, 3, and 4 drew the lowest demo of 0.7. The show ended with an average demo of 0.89 over its 22 episode run.
Global Lock's competition last year was Last Resort on ABC, Big Bang Theory and Two And A Half Men on CBS, Vampire Diaries on CW, X Factor/American Idol on FOX, and 30 Rock and Up All Night on NBC. In short this was probably the toughest time slot on network TV and that was likely the reason why it survived despite the low ratings.
Going forward in 2013-14 the competition is even stiffer with ABC offering Once Upon A Time in Wonderland, Big Bang Theory and The Millers on CBS, Vampire Diaries on CW, X Factor/American Idol on FOX, and Parks and Rec/Welcome to the Family on NBC. With that in mind the network would probably be happy with Global Lock doing a 1.0 and would renew it for the all important 5th season, possibly as Friday or Saturday night fodder.
The show's main focus will be to start off "smaller". Jayson and Dante decide to buy off the small division of Global Lock that specializes in high risk ops from the parent corporation so they can be their own boss. However, when their financing falls through they have no choice but to get back in bed with Trina despite their mistrust.

May 20, 2015Greatest Hits; 2015-2016 Season PreviewLiberty television is proud to announce that Greatest Hits starring Freddie Prinze Jr will be returning for its 5th season on Wednesday, September 18th at 10pm eastern time. The main story direction this year will focus around Marshall Bryant (Prinze) now trying to retire from doing hits and instead preventing them, along with a new mentor Dean Howie (Bill Pullman) and his daughter Katherine Howie (Hilary Duff). The uneasy romance between Marshall and Katherine will come front and center and cause Dean to either deal with it or distance himself from Marshall. The cast has undergone another major facelift with Leif Harlowe (Michael Cade) and Nikki Tookey (Yvonne Strahovski) gone as recurring characters. Paul Gross returns as Stu Stewart the FBI agent, while Bill Pullman and Hilary Duff join the show as regulars for the season. Chris Jericho and Christopher Bolton also join the cast as regulars. The producers have let it be known that Joan Cusack, The Barbaro Crime Family, Danny DeVito, Jimmy Buffett, and Rosie O'Donnell will all be part of the fun this year, as will a return as a guest star for Yvonne Strahovski. Last year in the same Wednesday 10pm slot the show saw an average rating of 1.77 making it Liberty TV's highest rated show. This season the competition in the timeslot will be Nashville/Secrets & Lies (ABC); Code Black (CBS); and Chicago PD (NBC). CBS had Stalker in that slot last year, and Code Black doesn't seem like much of an upgrade. There doesn't seem to be a reason other then old age to think Greatest Hits shouldn't be able to have another great season for Liberty TV. The show has received a full 24 episode order from the network. Read more: plsmedia.proboards.com/thread/86/greatest-hits#ixzz3aiCnubg6

Tuesday's Gone; 2015-16 Season Preview
Liberty Television has announced that Tuesday's Gone starring Amanda Peet will return for its 5th season on Monday nights at 9:30pm EST.
The main storylines last year were Tuesday's relationship, engagement, and break-up with Dana, and Madison's friendship with the troubled Twyla.
The main story direction this year is Tuesday being back to a bachelorette, and finding friendship with a new neighbor who moves into Dana's house. Negotiations are underway to have Elisabeth Shue signed on as the neighbor who runs a questionable business out of her home, and likes to party with Tuesday. The other big story arc will have Twyla coming to live with Tuesday and Madison as her parents try to put their lives back together. Grandpa will continue to have a strong role on the show, and sister Marisol (Jennifer Garner) coming back for a Christmas visit. There is also going to be a strong push at the end of the year to have Tuesday end up moving into an more economical apartment for next season.
Last year in the same Monday 9:30pm slot the show saw an average rating of 1.52 making it Liberty TV's highest rated sit-com. This season the competition in the timeslot will be Dancing with the Stars (ABC), Scorpion (CBS), Jane the Virgin (CW), Minority Report (FOX), and The Voice (NBC). Other then the reality shows Tuesday's Gone stacks up quite well at this slot, as the only sit-com, and has a strong lead-in with Night Shift entering its 7th season. The competition is pretty much the same as last year except that FOX has moved the popular Sleepy Hollow to Thursday nights, and put the new show Minority Report in its place. Many critics believe that Tuesday's Gone while trying to fight going stale, did the right thing and avoided the "jump the shark" moment by not having the wedding go through last season. Industry observers believe that Tuesday's Gone should be able to hold onto his viewers this season, and may add more if the connection with Elisabeth Shue comes to fruition.
The show has received a 22-episode order from the network.

Adrenalized
PLS media announced today that they have bought the rights for Phil Collen's book "Adrenalized" about his band "Def Leppard". Liberty Television will be making a made for TV movie that is scheduled to air in the spring of 2017. The plan is to divide the autobiography into 2 parts with part 1 (up to the car crash that take's Rick Allen's arm) to air in the spring 2017, and part 2 to air in the fall of 2017. The second part will depend on the ratings and other economics of the success of the first part of the story.
The movie will be very music heavy. Phil Collen has come on board as an Executive Producer, as had music producer extraordinaire Bob "Mutt" Lange.
John Stockwell has been taped to lead the writing crew, and direct the movie. Stockwell has a long list of credits as an actor, writer, director and producer. He was the writer of "Rock Star" starring Mark Wahlberg and Jennifer Aniston.
Chris Burke-Gaffney one of Liberty TV's most influential music contributors has also been added as a co-producer and will be the music director with input from Lange.
Intrepid Pictures along with PLS Media's own Maple Star Entertainment lead the production efforts.
A revelatory and redemptive memoir from the lead guitarist of the legendary band Def Leppard—the first book ever written by one of its members—chronicling the band’s extraordinary rise to superstardom and how they’ve maintained it for three decades.
Meet Phil Collen. You may know him as the lead guitarist in Def Leppard, whose signature song “Pour Some Sugar on Me” is still as widely enjoyed as when it debuted in 1988. Maybe you’ve heard of him as the rock star who gave up alcohol and meat more than twenty-five years ago. Most likely you’ve seen him shirtless—in photos or in real life—flaunting his impeccably toned body to appreciative female fans.
But it wasn’t always like this. Collen worked his way up from nothing, teaching himself guitar from scratch as a teenager by imitating his heroes. He slogged it out in London-based pub bands for years, long before Def Leppard formed and transformed from unknowns to icons (all thanks to a little album called Pyromania), from playing openers in near-empty arenas to headlining in those same stadiums and selling them out every night. But as Collen discovered, true overnight success is a myth. Like the other band members, he had to struggle and fight his way to the top; in the end, he says, “our work ethic saved us.” Just as it still does.
This is Collen’s story, starting with his first real taste of success and wild rock and roll excess as a member of the seminal glam rock outfit Girl. But once he joins Def Leppard, it’s also an amazing underdog tale featuring a bunch of ordinary working-class lads who rose to mega-stardom, overcoming incredible obstacles—such as drummer Rick Allen losing an arm in a car crash and the tragic death of guitarist Steve Clark, Phil’s musical soul mate, who lost his fight with alcoholism. Featuring personal, never-before-seen photos of Collen and his band mates on stage and off, Adrenalized is a fascinating account of the failures, triumphs, challenges, and rock-hard dedication it takes to make dreams come true.

Havana Renewed for Season 3
Broadcasting & Cable today broke the announcement that Havana has been renewed for a 3rd season on Liberty Television in 2016-17, despite middling ratings. The critical reviews as well as improved storylines have given the network enough faith in the show to assure its viewers of another season.
In an interview with executive producer Robert Redford and writer/consultant Alex Von Tunzelmann they went as far as to lay out the general plans for a continued storyline for the picturesque drama. The current season 2 should take the story up until the U.S./Cuba ties deteriorate to the point where The Philadelphian casino is taken over by the government, and the main players including Rick and Abe return stateside. However, instead of returning to Chicago, Rick will end up in Miami, in the middle of the Cuban ex-pats and their invasion and assassination plots, which will consume most of season 3. A 4th season would shift gears to a re-establishment of the Philadelphian, but this time in Haiti under the watchful eye of the brutal dictator Papa Doc. Haiti's proximity to Cuba, as well as Papa Doc's playing to the U.S's anti-communist sympathies will keep the possibility of a Cuban invasion or Castro assassination alive in the series.

Ahead of Wednesday morning's Liberty upfront presentation, it has been leaked by Happy Madison Productions that Liberty has picked up "Real Genius" the reboot of the 1985 Val Kilmer movie. Craig DiGregorio and David King are the creative forces behind the show, with Bret Harrison ("The Ranch", "Reaper" "Orange County") cast as Chris Knight the role made famous by Val Kilmer, and Style Dayne ("Deadpool", "Motive") cast an the naïve Mitch Taylor, and Jon Gries reprises his role as the enigmatic Lazlo Holyfeld. Rumors are that people at Happy Madison were pushing for Rob Schneider to take the role of Lazlo, and that he will have a recurring part instead. The show was originally being developed for NBC but it became available when the peacock passed on it last upfront season. Liberty Television is usually pretty secretive about their pickups so this announcement is a bit out of the ordinary.
It is now rumored that Neal McDonough who exited "Detroit 1-8-7" after three seasons as squad leader Russ Renna is headed towards possible (probable?) Liberty pickup "Rollin'" as a replacement for Ron Eldard who shot the pilot in the lead role of Elliott Long. The word is the network liked the show which McDonough is one of the producer/creators, but were not sold on Eldard, and that this switch would signify a pickup from Liberty TV for the fall season.
Brad Garrett and Norm MacDonald are teaming up and producing a script for Liberty called "Odd Man Out" which centers around a high powered testosterone filled luxury car salesman's attempts to deal with his wife leaving him for a woman. No other information is know about the project at the moment other than Tim Meadows' name has been rumored to be attached.

The remainder of the casting for "Real Genius" was announced today with Ashley Hinshaw as Sherry Nugil, Jason Antoon as Carter Tibbs, and Clifton Powell as General Lou Decker. In addition it was confirmed that Gabriel Jarret & Michelle Meyrink who played Mitch and Jordan in the original movie will guest star in the pilot episode as Mitch's parents with a couple scenes being reshot to include them; and Val Kilmer will guest star in the second episode as Senator Shoehorn (a villain) that will recur. "I'm Falling" by the Comsat Angels, a song which appeared in the original movie has also been licensed to be used in the reboot. The first 5 script summaries have been released as well and can be found on the Real Genius web page. Finally it was announced as part of the agreement with Happy Madison Productions that a full 22 episodes have been ordered by the network.
With CBS not putting "Drew" the Nancy Drew adaptation, on their fall schedule it is rumored that negotiations have started between PLS Media and CBS Television Studios to purchase the program to air on Liberty Television starting in the summer of 2017 with a projected spot on the 2017-18 Fall lineup. The reboot falls well within the nostalgia and period time piece bent that Liberty Television has for its drama programs.

The 2016-17 Liberty Television schedule that was unveiled has more changes than the network has seen over the past few years. The commitment to original scripted television shows remains strong, with an expanded selection of sit-coms this year, now featured on three nights instead of just one.
Monday nights features the 5th season of Buy More at 8pm and the 3rd season of Havana at 10pm. Cast and character changes are always afoot when it comes to Buy More; and Havana will switch this season to focusing on Rick and the Mob's efforts stateside in Miami, Washington, and Chicago as Havana itself turns communist after the repatriation of the Philadelphian casino.
New on Monday nights are; Alyssa Luvs Sean 8:30pm Sit-com (coming of age, High School) Production Company; Salter Street Productions, DreamWorks Television Creators; Trevor Suffield, Hart Hanson, Paul Feig From the creative teams behind Liberty's "E.K." and NBC's "Freaks and Geeks" comes an enduring coming of age high school love story with the reality of the awkwardness and clumsiness of true relationships, not the music driven MTV glamorous 25 year old hard bodies playing high school kids kind of show. In fact although the show has a musical backdrop music is not used at all unless it is actually being played in the show. Even the theme song is devoid of music, instead being filled with the hallway noises of high school. Alyssa is an exceptional straight A's scholar and an extraordinary musician. She is a go getter, involved in band, choir, debate, etc, who was once seen as a slightly overweight, non-athletic music geek, but thanks to some maturity by her part as well as the other students, and the popularity of such shows as Glee and Pitch Perfect, is now fairly close to universally loved by most of her school. All this despite only being a Sophomore. Sean on the other hand is a slacker, an enigma, a weirdo maybe, voted most likely to "go postal" by his peers. However, Sean also has an extraordinary ability to see through and inside people's thought and emotions. While Alyssa has a fantastic IQ that makes her a genius, Sean has an EQ (Emotional Quotient) that makes him interesting to those who he allows to get close. Sean comes from a lineage of gypsies, his own Grandmother once being a renown palm and fortune reader. An unlikely pair find their friendship turn into love. What would seem like a recipe for disaster continues to endure because Sean is secure enough in his non-activity to allow Alyssa to flourish and encourage her instead of trying to bring her down. This level of encouragement is needed by Alyssa because only Sean and her music teacher Mr. Bernard show that level of care in her life. On the other hand Alyssa just enjoys Sean's company and doesn't push him to have more active interests. Outside of each other Alyssa's best friend is her fellow musician Parker, who also runs track and is quite popular. Everyone except Alyssa, Sean, and Parker are convinced that Alyssa will end up with Parker and not Sean. On the other hand other than Alyssa the only close friend that Sean has is Bernie "Top Gun" Richards whose dream of being a fighter pilot and his simple straightforward nature seems to click with Sean. Follow this pair of dreamers and their enigmatic love as they try and navigate their way through the final 2 years of high school and all the pit falls and obstacles along the way. Starring; Grace Kaufman as Alyssa Poisson, Asa Butterfield as Sean Gill, Matt Nye as Mr. Bernard (music teacher), Beibi Gong as Ms. Trang (Math teacher), Laura Mennell as Ms. Covington (guidance counselor), Amanda Zaeske as Parker Potts, Bradley Steven Perry as Bernie "Top Gun" Richards, Jamie Denbo as Sean's Mom, Brenda Blethyn as Sean's Grandma, Brian Howe as Sean's Dad, Jane Kaczmarek as Alyssa's Mom, Scott Thompson as Alyssa's Dad, Christopher Avila as Devon Poisson, Max Charles as Gabe Poisson, Harry Anderson as Principal Campbell
Rollin' 9:00pm Drama (time piece) Production Company: Sony Pictures Television, Salter Street Films Creators: Al Profit, Bert Salke, Donnie Wahlberg, Neal McDonough Set in the late 1970's Detroit, this anti-hero drama features an unusual alliance between a black FBI agent (Kareem) sent to Detroit to clean up the drug trade, with a white blue-collar "lifer" auto worker (Elliott). Elliott gets tired of seeing the city within the city, his massive auto plant, besieged by drugs and gangs, and the effect that has on morale, quality, and the long term decision by the company to keep production here or move it off shore. The writing seems to be on the wall for both the auto industry with the Japanese starting to take over market share, and with the city of Detroit crumbling around them. Unable to gain a foothold outside the factory Kareem agrees to help Elliott by bending and then breaking the laws, in return for progress he can show to his superiors. Neal McDonough as Elliott Long, B.J. Britt as Kareem (FBI agent), Michael Stuhlbarg as Dieter Toeffer (union boss), Judy Greer, Damon Herriman, Randy Couture, Zoe Belkin as daughter, Shonna Major, Jamie Renell, Sean Cook as manager, Christopher Bucholz as the German.
Tuesday Nights is the only weeknight that features all returning scripted shows. Night Shift in its 8th season, and Tuesday's Gone in its 6th season make the move from Monday night. Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday will all start the evening with two sit-coms from 8pm-9pm. Downbeats returns for a 2nd season with a new crossover from Hollywood RHD. Night Moves will once again anchor the night at 10pm with its 4th season with the action consolidating to primarily only the one bar "Diamonds & Rust".
Wednesday Nights will begin with two new dramas Nola Hart and Corvette Club before finishing with Liberty's highest ranking show, season 6 of Greatest Hits.
Nola Hart 8:00pm Drama (mystery/suspense) Production company: 20th Century Fox Television, Chapter Eleven Creators; Donald Todd, Kyle Killen, Scott Pennington Drama about a woman who wakes up in an airport with complete amnesia and hires a dysfunctional father-son detective agency to find out who she is. When to her own surprise she shows near-genius detective skills, the guys hire the woman to help them as they take on her ever-deepening “missing person” case. But as each new discovery changes the picture of her, they all have to wonder who they’ll find at the end of the journey –and will they be sorry they looked? Starring; Christina Applegate as Nola Hart, Jeffrey Wright as Father, Shad Moss as Son, Max Perlich, John Herzfeld, Rita Rudner
Corvette Club 9:00pm [/p] Drama (mockumentary) Production company; Big Talk Productions; El Rey Network Creators; Barry and Allan, two burnouts from San Bernadino are hired by a mysterious benefactor to steal and destroy a list of rare Corvettes across California and Nevada. Along the way they pick up an apparently kind hearted young street walker named Angel, totally oblivious to the fact that she is murdering johns at every stop along the way. Starring; Jon E. Darby as Allan, Luke Benward as Barry Melnyk, Aubrey Plaza as Angel, Corey Feldman as Mr. Shaw, Jeremy Davies, Raquel Alessi
Thursday nights will begin with two new sit-coms; The Greater Good and Real Genius. Then at 9pm Detroit 1-8-7 returns with season 7, followed by Hollywood RHD's 5th season in a new night.
The Greater Good 8:00pm Sit-Com (workplace) Production Company: 20th Century Fox Television, Brownstone Productions Creators; Caroline Williams, Elizabeth Banks, Max Handelman Workplace comedy set in the world of conspiracy theories. A disgraced former CIA agent begins his own online tabloid trying to reveal the same truths that got him kicked out of the agency. The majority of his staff are part time "believers" who flood the office late at night to discover and write up stories. Unknown to him most of his co-workers are also now CIA plants, except for a young intern that shows the most promise. Starring: Simon Templeman as Allan Carlsson, Dylan Sprouse as Dexter Lehrner, Larisa Oleynik as Gabriella Foot, Spencer Garrett as Bruce Low, Mishon Ratliff as Wine Spitzer.
Real Genius 8:30pm Sit-Com (workplace) Production Company; 3 Arts Entertainment, Happy Madison Productions, Sony Pictures Television Creators; Craig DiGregorio, David King, Doug Robinson, Oly Obst Small screen take on the 1985 movie, about the relationship between a rock star-like genius and a sheltered, naive co-worker.
Friday Nights is completely new on Liberty TV this fall. Macabre and Saradas were so successful last season that they have been moved to Sunday nights for the fall, with Macabre probably moving back to Friday's in the Winter. Liberty's longtime collaboration with cultural icon Jimmy Buffett has now produced a regular 2 hour music/variety show that will air from 8pm-10pm. That will be followed up with a new imagining of Halloween at 10pm.
Tales From Margaritaville 8:00pm-10:00pm Variety (music/comedy) Production Company; Taillight TV, Mailboat Records Creators; Jimmy Buffett, Nina Avramides, Stan Kellam A prime time variety show hosted once a week at the Margaritaville in Orlando, Florida. Features Beach, reggae, and folk music along with comedians and celebrity interviews, as well as audience participation and contests. The show will cater to an older demographic so the total number of viewers will be more impressive then the demos. Jimmy Buffet will appear semi-regularly.
Halloween 10:00pm Drama (Horror/Suspense) Production Company; Revolution Studios, Screen Gems Creators; John Carpenter, Gavin O'Connor, Richard Heus, and Caleb Womble A re-imagining of the Halloween franchise. In this version Michael Myers is a tragic figure, ripped from his family while a youth and put in a mental sanatorium. Under the supervision of Dr. Loomis he was experimented on with psychological terror and drugs. On a supervised visit from his family he stabs and kills his Mother, thus ensuring he will never be released again. However, as an adult he escapes and returns to Haddonfield to take his revenge out on the kids who bullied him and his sister when they were young. However, when he finds his sister is now dating one of his tormentors he also decides to turn his wrath on her. This is a limited series that should start right after Labor Day, and end the week of Halloween. A 7 week run with a double episode on both the first and last nights, equaling a 9 episode first year run. Starring; Taylor Clift as Michael Myers, Kyle Richards as Lindsey Wallace, Debbie Rochon as Molly Wallace, Sam Ayers as Danny Loomis, Ragan Wallake as Toledo Jones, Christian Potenza as Kerry Myers, Jerry Minor as Tommy Doyle, Daniela Dib as Amber Fox
Saturday nights will once again showcase a movie and possibly an encore presentation of one of the network's sit-com's. Original movies already being produced for the network include; King of Infinite Space (Tyler Dilts), The Silk Road, Angola, Louisiana, The Burning Room (Michael Connelly), Stay Close (Harlan Corben), King's Deception (Steve Berry), The Don - Donald Trump, Blood and Bullets - (war between Rock Machine and Hells Angels in Montreal late 1990's), Adrenalized (Phil Collen - Def Leppard) (spring 2017), 13 Witches (Sabine Mondestin), Rhyme of the Ancient Mariner. Theatrical releases being shown include The Last Stand, Red Dawn, Hit & Run, The Place Beyond the Pines, The Express, Broken City, The King's Speech, Death Defying Acts, Shanghai, The Great Gatsby, Moonrise Kingdom and The Hit List.
Sunday nights remains the same for the first 2 hours with an hour of encore drama presentations, followed by the global orientated television news program Liberty X (entering its 7th season). The second half of the night will feature two shows transplanted from last year's Friday night schedule, Macabre (season 3), and Saradas (season 2). Macabre is scheduled to move back to Friday nights after Halloween finishes its limited run in the fall.
Mid-season replacements include 3 sit-com's. Another Teen Vampire Show (season 5) will be its final season. New shows will include Listmayor and Roomies. Dramas will include Wildwood (Season 5) likely joining Sunday nights after Macabre switches back to Friday nights in November, and sophomore shows Kingmakers and Die Cast which will either find a spot on the winter rotation or the spring/summer schedule.
Listmayor genre; Sit-com (family) Production company; Universal Television, MapleStar Entertainment Creators; George Erschbamer, Trevor Suffield, Jerry O'Connell John Pettis (everyone calls him Listmayor) tries to be the perfect family man in an uncertain world that he takes way too serious. Ever since he was young he had issues with anxiety, and his early coping method was to make lists, both centered around his life (grocery list, to do list, friends list) as well as just general lists (one hit wonders, best movies with bad endings, top 10 most horrific shark attacks since 1950...). Unfortunately school mates got wind of the lists and used it to mock him, hanging the nickname of Listmayor on him (the mayor of lists), and it stuck. Each episode of the show will center around the hectic world of John, but we also see the dichotomy between how the world see's it and how John perceives it, but will have the backdrop of John creating a list that somewhat pertains to his world at the moment. Starring; Jerry O'Connell as John Pettis (Listmayor), Isla Fisher as Shirley Pettis (wife), Elidh MacQueen as Brittney Scott (Listmayor's co-worker; hot; scheming), Karin Konoval as Bess Pettis (John's Mom), Sam Richardson (friend), Ashley Comeau, Charlie O'Connell, and Deena Dill
Roomies genre; Sit-Com (family/friends) Production Company; MapleStar Entertainment, Olive Bridge Entertainment Creators; Michael J Fox, Will Gluck Darla and Jonas are a recently retired couple who in order to be able to afford to retire had to make one large accommodation; taking on a pair of renters. While Jonas preferred to get an older couple who they could spend time with, Darla tricks him into settling for a young couple who she hopes will help breathe some life into their retirement. While Darla and Jonas may look like a staid, steady couple, they also have had their wild side including riding motorcycles and travelling the globe. However, Jonas' outlook on life and his own relationships are challenged by the role reversal in the young couple. Brianne is a legal intern with a sports management company while studying for her law degree, while Stephen is a cook studying to become a true chef. Brianne and Stephen will also find themselves challenged to live with and keep up with Darla and Jonas who are not the old fuddy daddy's they thought they were signing up to live with. Starring; Linda Bright Clay as Darla, Creed Bratton as Jonas, Aimee Teegarden as Brianne, Matt O'Leary as Stephen, Hank Rogerson

Liberty television released their fall preview for the 5th season of Buy More today. It also released some details about the season's opening episodes which can be found at the show's website. Buy More; 2016-17 Season Preview
Liberty television returns to the big box home of Buy More for season 5 for its second year at the Monday 8:00pm/7:00CST time slot. A full season of 22 episodes has been ordered by the network as its ratings which average a 1.1 demo are good by the network standards. Buy More switches from being the lead in for an established show Another Teen Vampire Show, to the lead off for a rookie offering Alyssa Luvs Sean.
Last season saw a swing and a miss with a new annoying pair of neighbors Michelle & Craig for Alex and Morgan but they have departed for missionary work. The rest of the cast also faced big life changes with Lester moving on to manage at Consumer World a competitor of Buy More after he was unhappy with Jeff marrying his sister Sandra; a move that also saw the breakup of the band Jeffster. The marriage of Jeff and Sandra was the season finale, with wedding finales now becoming a "thing" for Buy More. Alex & Morgan are expecting a baby (which will necessitate some visits from Grandpa John Casey) and Big Mike took a promotion to regional manager which will take him out of the store.
This season will see the continuation of those storylines including the expected baby, the promotion, and a new Korean store manager who will drive everyone to murder. Fractured sit-coms are hard to maintain and neither Big Mike or Lester are ready to exit yet, so look for them to possibly return to the fold in the opening story arcs.
The Monday 8:00pm time slot faces stiff competition from CBS' Big Bang Theory to start the year before it moves to Thursday and Kevin James' "Kevin Can Wait" moves from 8:30 to 8:00 having already been established at the heels of TBBT. FOX has "Gotham" while CW has "Supergirl" which also appeals to the 30-50 male demographic that Buy More goes after, and NBC has "The Voice" while ABC has "Dancing With the Stars" which pretty much appeal to everyone else other than males 30-50. Behind the scenes Stephen Lloyd has left as executive producer after 4 seasons, leaving his share of the work load with the two remaining EP's Ben Kunde and Phil Klemmer. Kunde remains as showrunner.

Alyssa Luvs Sean; 2016-17 Season Preview
Liberty Television's most talked about new sit-com for the year is the adolescent love story between two opposites, Alyssa and Sean. The rookie show will air on Monday at 8:30pm/7:30CST, following Buy More. Last year that slot was occupied by Another Teen Vampire Show which will now be a mid-season offering. The show has received a full season 22 episode order as a show of faith from the network who are hoping for a better than 1.0 demo.
The competition will be "Kevin Can Wait" until "Man With A Plan" takes over on CBS at the end of October; 2 star powered new sit-coms helped by the Big Bang Theory lead-in at the start of the year. FOX has "Gotham" while CW has "Supergirl" and NBC has "The Voice" while ABC has "Dancing With the Stars". It's stiff competition for the show but the network hopes that the writing buzz and the comparisons to Freaks and Geeks (and E.K.) will get fans on board early to avoid letting another quality show fail before people take notice.
From the creative teams behind Liberty's "E.K." and NBC's "Freaks and Geeks" comes an enduring coming of age high school love story with the reality of the awkwardness and clumsiness of true relationships, not the music driven MTV glamorous 25 year old hard bodies playing high school kids kind of show. All this despite only being a Sophomore.

While Alyssa has a fantastic IQ that makes her a genius, Sean has an EQ (Emotional Quotient) that makes him interesting to those who he allows to get close. Liberty television today released their preview for the new show "Rollin'" which airs Monday nights this fall.
Rollin'; 2016-17 Season Preview
Liberty Television returns again to the City of Detroit, setting for other offerings such as Detroit 1-8-7 and Prince of Motor City, with a critical look at the seedy side of Detroit's auto industry and how it mirrored the demise of the city itself in a sewage of drugs and corruption. The project will be driven by Al Profit, formerly an independent documentary producer whose seminal works on the rise of crimes and drugs in cities such as Detroit and New York provide the backdrop for the gritty parts of the show. Joining Profit is veteran television man Bert Salke (Boomtown, Tru Calling, Prince of Motor City) and Donnie Wahlberg and Neal McDonough better known for their roles on the other side of the camera. McDonough has also signed on to play the show's lead man.
The rookie show will air Monday nights at 9:00pm/8:00CST following the comedy pair of Buy More and Alyssa Luvs Sean. Competition will be the second hours of Dancing With the Stars (ABC) and The Voice (NBC), 2 Broke Girls & Odd Couple (CBS), Jane the Virgin (CW), and Lucifer (FOX) in the fall, followed by APB in the Winter. It's a very diversified competition but no true "gritty" or crime procedurals match directly against Rollin'. The network believes that in that landscape the show should be able to produce at least the network average of around 1.0-1.2.
Rollin' is a time piece drama, set in the late 1970's Detroit, this anti-hero drama features an unusual alliance between a black FBI agent (Kareem) sent to Detroit to clean up the drug trade, with a white blue-collar "lifer" auto worker (Elliott).
