Where can one start when telling a tale as twisted as this? It began I suppose as a pirate adventure, with the crew taking refuge from the authorities in a series of underground tunnels. They and their treasure were never seen again. It then becomes a story of modern day treasure hunters seeking the fortunes of those very same buccaneers. Two sets of rival treasure hunters, once connected by a sacred vow, now bitter enemies racing for the cover of National Geographic. But in the catacombs they will find that this is actually a story much older then treasure hunters, and pirates, dating back in fact to evolution, adaptation, and survival. There is a reason why the pirates never came out of that underground labyrinth, and those origins go back as long as original sin, and is a force more powerful then anything these students of global secrets have ever dreamed.
