Republicrat
Genre; Sit-com (political)
Creators; Howard Busgang / Rick Roberts / Colin Brunton
Description; Jeremy Freedman (played by Rick Roberts) had a plush TV job. Although a life long Republican at heart he had been groomed by his party to come out of nowhere as a Democratic pundit. He was then signed to a weekly political show as the Democratic point of view to ensure a Republican landslide victory on every topic brought up. He was so outfoxed by his co-host it almost seemed rehearsed (no really it did). But one day he can't take being made to look stupid anymore and thoroughly thrashes his Republican co-host in their weekly debate. He is promptly fired from the show. Jeremy now finds himself in the unusual position of being the darling of the Democratic pundits. Although he disagrees with his own opinions he is willing to espouse them for two reasons; first for the money he is offered to host his own political show, and secondly for revenge against the Republicans who can not expose his real views without exposing their own dishonesty. Jeremy begins to live a double life that makes even our elected officals look honest in comparison.
