Dark Matches Before RAGE
Opening Bout Shane Madison defeated Chris Parys by pinfall after a Northern lights suplex (and his feet on the ropes) at 9:46 **another match that barely snuck in under the opener 10 minute time limit. Two young studs going at it, and Madison decided to cheat to win.
Bout #2 Richard Pound & Dick Raines defeated Matt Fairlane & Ryan Price by pinfall when Raines pinned Fairlane after a spiked piledriver at 7:40 **debut match for a pair of youngsters Fairlane and Price. The newcomers looked all right but were no match for the more experienced, bigger, and experienced cheaters that they faced.
Bout #3 Greg Pawluk defeated William Butler Yeats by submission to the sharpshooter at 10:21 **Pawluk is looking like a true mid-carder in the singles scene.
Bout #4 #1 Contender Match for the TV Title Wavell Starr defeated Vincent Regliatti by pinfall after a flying axhandle at 12:34 **solid match, and an important one for the pecking order in the singles division. Regliatti was quite upset with himself after losing. While he had a short heavyweight title run back in early 1999, since then his singles career has been less than stellar, and his tag efforts with Eric Scott failed to bring home the gold.
Bout #5 Giant Balls: Kurrgan & Balls Mahoney defeated Players Club: Will Damon & Donnie DiCaprio by countout at 7:54 **newly formed tag team Giant Balls gets their revenge on the PC, who decided they had enough of a beating and left for the showers early.
RCW RAGE - One Hour Episode
Promo: Vampiro was supposed to get his return match tonight but is nursing some injuries sustained in the loss of his belt last week to Holiday. So instead he will get his title shot on August 19th at Summer Sizzle II. Lord Zoltan came out and said that since he managed Vampiro (which Joe Aiello said that he didn't actually but Zoltan ignored him), that he should allow that title shot to transfer to his other man Manny Silva (we haven't seen the Mad Dog Hawaiian in several weeks). Sam Holiday of course came out to accept the challenge, and Manny Silva appeared trying to sneak attack Holiday but the cowboy was too aware and threw Silva right back out of the ring over the top rope, and then chased Zoltan away.
We are told that yes, we will have another Summer Sizzle card, following up on last year's success. This super show will feature 8 matches (4 mens and 4 women), and most of the affiliates are picking it up in its two hour format on August 19th from St. Paul, Minnesota.
Bout #6 RCW Tag Team Title Match The Spinebusters: Jerry Orth & Bryan Caruthers defeated Canadian Outlaws: Adam Knight & Darren Dalton by pinfall when Orth pinned Knight after a top rope kneedrop at 9:06 [The Spinebusters retained the RCW Tag Team Titles] **the Outlaws got a title shot after besting the Great Canadians, but were overwhelmed and out gunned by the tag champs who are still a step above them.
Video tribute is shown for Toledo Ohio's own great wrestler from the past, the Great Wojo.
Bout #7 RCW Television Title Stan Baker defeated Al Hardamann by countout at 11:20 [Stan Baker retained the RCW Television Title] **One of Baker's toughest challenges. He survived the challenge after throwing Hardamann over the announce table, sending him sliding head first into the guardrail. Baker then went back to the ring and took the countout victory.
Main Event RCW Heavyweight Title Match Sam Holiday defeated Manny Silva (/w Lord Zoltan) by disqualification for outside interference (Tiger Khan) at 8:42 [Sam Holiday retained the RCW Heavyweight Title] **Mad Dog went ballistic to start the bout, pounding away at the champ. He kept him close quarters, used the ropes as a weapon to choke and to rake the head. He also kept him in the corner for punishment from chops, forearms, knees, and shoulderblocks. In fact the first 7 minutes were all Silva in a very strange occurrence. Finally the champ made a comeback after countering a piledriver with a back body drop. A series of clotheslines, a piledriver of his own, and he went to the top rope. Zoltan got onto the apron to knock the champ off, but Buddy Lane intercepted him, knocking him off the apron with a forearm shiver (drawing the biggest cheer of the night). Holiday nailed the top rope legdrop, covered, 1,...Tiger Khan hit the ring and attacked Holiday. He was encouraged by Zoltan, and Silva recovered and we had a 3 on 1. Zoltan also now menaced Lane but the ref didn't back down and Zoltan thought better than to try and fight an RCW referee. Al Hardamann hit the ring with a steel chair to clear things out and save his friend from further damage.

River City Wrestling #845 August 12, 2000 Bloomington, IN
Opening Bout Matt Fairlane defeated Zakk Wylde by pinfall after a somersault clothesline at 7:38 **premiere of Wylde.
Bout #2 Lord Zoltan defeated The Squeegee Kid after a DDT at 5:30 **rare match for manager/wrestler Zoltan. Kid looked to have it in control but came off the top for a splash too early, Zoltan made him eat knees, then hit the DDT for the win.
Bout #3 Six-Man Tag Team Match Adam Knight, Darren Dalton & Ruffy Silverstein defeated Richard Pound, Dick Raines & William Butler Yeats by pinfall when Knight pinned Raines after a running powerslam at 10:24 **filler. Six men get a paycheck.
Bout #4 Greg Pawluk defeated Vincent Regliatti by submission to the sharpshooter at 6:11 **fairly quick win for Pawluk, and perhaps an uspet. Regs' heart didn't seem to be in it, and the former Heavyweight champ gave up quickly in the sharpshooter.
Post-Match: A dejected Regliatti gets on the mic, and says although he doesn't like the fans, he wants to thank them for putting money in his pockets the last couple years and helping him fulfill a childhood dream of being a pro wrestler, and a champion. With that he announces his retirement. But before he can leave the ring, RCW trainer and road agent Vic Gate comes to the ring. Gate tells Regliatti that he had solid training from the Ontario production factory run by Ron Hutchinson, but since then he has been coasting on that, and more and more relying on cheating. He tells Regs that if he will stay active and not retire then he will personally train him and help him continue his journey. Regs says he'll think about it.
Bout #5 Non-Title Match Eddie Mustang defeated Stan Baker by disqualification for use of a foreign object at 7:54 **since this was a non-title match Baker used it to send a vicious message to Mustang's fellow Native Son, Wavell Starr who he will defend the title against next week at Summer Sizzle. Not caring about the decision Baker took the DQ in order to savage Mustang with the ring bell, busting him wide open. Starr was not in the building tonight but eventually some of the second tier grapplers came out to make the save.
RCW RAGE - One Hour Episode
Highlights of the dark matches of course start the show off.
Bout #6 #1 Contender Match - Triangle Match Stacey Lynn defeated Jessica Judd and Becky Swallows by pinfall when Lynn pinned Judd after a superkick (and outside interference) at 9:06 **winner gets a title shot at TrummerFrauen next week. Fast forward to the ending, a blonde mid 30's very fit (a lot like Lynn) interfered during a ref bump. She handed Judd her guitar, but then as Judd swung she grabbed onto the guitar to hold her and allow Lynn a chance to nail a superkick. The blonde then took care of Becky and allowed Lynn to pick up the win after reviving referee Shiela Bloom.
Post-Match: Stacey Lynn introduces her friend and partner Christine, Chris Lydon. Not only is she a fitness competitor like Lynn but also an actress who has played in movies including Jackie Brown, Vampires or Sorority Row, and mini-series Click where she played the role of New Pussy. Lynn says there has been a balance of power too long in the women's division and now Lydon is going to help her upset that balance.
Video tribute to Bloomington, Indiana's own wrestling son Mick Foley.
Bout #7 Six-Man Tag Match Giant Balls: Kurrgan & Balls Mahoney & Chris Parys defeated Players Club: Will Damon, Donnie DiCaprio & Shane Madison by pinfall when Parys pinned Madison after a Parysault at 11:51 **not a huge surprise here as Kurrgan and Balls are a step above the PC, but a strong showing by Parys including picking up the win was a bit of a turn of events. After the bout the PC were not too happy with each other and all 3 had words of blame to go around.
Promo for next week's Summer Sizzle. Former Women's champion Emma Bezzlerr, and Mistress Gloom, two of the most powerful women to ever compete in RCW are going to take on Nicole Bass in a Triangle Match. In addition, another powerhouse, Christi Wolf, who many fans know as Asya from WCW is signed to premiere in RCW against Becky Swallows.
Main Event Sam Holiday & Al Hardamann defeated Manny Silva & Tiger Khan (/w Lord Zoltan) by pinfall when Hardamann pinned Khan after a vertebreaker at 9:29 **Holiday is getting ready for his big title defence next week against Vampiro, but seemed locked into this match. Khan though had a good run using his superior ground game to take down the heavyweight champ. However, once the good guys got on a roll they could not be stopped.

Dark Matches
Opening Bout Many Silva & Tiger Khan (/w Lord Zoltan) defeated Canadian Outlaws: Adam Knight & Darren Dalton by pinfall when Silva pinned Dalton after a wheelbarrow suplex at 9:20 **The Outlaws were a bit over matched in this one, especially by the Hawaiian Mad Dog Silva.
Bout #2 Triangle Match Nicole Bass defeated Emma Bezzlerr and Mistress Gloom by pinfall when she pinned Gloom after a chokeslam at 7:01 **mercifully short match, three powerhouses, with Bezzlerr and Gloom being brought back for the one shot.
Special Two Hour RCW RAGE Episode
Highlights of the dark matches from earlier in the night.
Bout #3 Christi Wolf defeated Becky Swallows by submission to the figure-four necklock at 5:32 **the newcomer Wolf, yet another amazon type competitor, known to the fans as Asya from WCW, made short work of Swallows. The fans actually cheered for Becky in this one. The women's division seems to mainly be made up of tweeners.
Bout #4 RCW Television Title Match Wavell Starr defeated Stan Baker by countout at 9:46 [Stan Baker retained the RCW Television Title] **Starr gave a great account of himself. After some opening energy fuelled by Baker's beatdown last week of Eddie Mustang, Starr got his emotions in check and controlled most of the bout. In the end a rattled Baker took a countout by feigning that he was returning to the ring but then backing away. Starr was caught off guard, and although he won, he wasn't happy leaving the title on the table.
Bout #5 Jessica Judd defeated Chris Lydon by pinfall after a hurrancanrana at 8:18 **Disappointing loss for Lydon in her opening bout but it didn't stop her from breaking the guitar over JJ's head after the bout.
Bout #6 RCW Tag Team Title Match Giant Balls: Kurrgan & Balls Mahoney defeated The Spinebusters: Jerry Orth & Bryan Caruthers by pinfall when Mahoney pinned Caruthers after a Ball Breaker at 12:21 [Kurrgan & Balls Mahoney win the RCW Tag Team Titles] **The challengers started the match strong, dominating using their superior strength and brawling ability. The champs stalled for time, and eventually used some double teams and quick tags to grab an advantage over Kurrgan. However, they couldn't keep that advantage too long because of the Giant's power. We had a couple four man brawls outside the ring, including a table set up but no one ended up being put through it. Back inside the champs grabbed control, this time isolating Mahoney. They went for a spiked piledriver but Kurrgan came around the apron and knocked Orth all the way to the floor below. Mahoney was up in the piledriver position too long and managed to counter it with a back body drop. When Caruthers got to his feet he went over for the tag but instead of Orth he only found Kurrgan who nailed him with a headbutt. Caruthers stumbled back to Mahoney who hit his version of a sitout spinebuster (perhaps sending a message with that choice of finisher), and we have new tag champs!! This ends a pretty impressive 5 month long 2nd tag title run by the Spinebusters which began back on March 25th when they beat the Road Warriors. It will be the first tag titles for both Kurrgan and Mahoney. It is also the 76th title run in the championship lineage.
Bout #7 North American Women's Title Match TrummerFrauen defeated Stacey Lynn (/w Chris Lydon) by pinfall after a chokeslam at 7:59 [TrummerFrauen retained the North American Women's Title] **Apparently Lydon was granted a manager's license in time to be in her friend's corner. Lydon's help, both legal and illegal, kind of levelled the playing field against the champ's size, power, and willingness to cheat (although Lynn and Lydon were also cheating like a redneck bachelor party). In the end the champ pulled Lydon into the ring over the top rope. Lynn took a run at the champ but TF caught her by the throat. Referee Jennifer Greaves allowed the champ to deliver a double chokeslam on Lynn and Lydon. Greaves then allowed the pin even though Lydon was still in the ring. Dominant showing by the champ.
Main Event RCW Heavyweight Title Match Sam Holiday defeated Vampiro by disqualification for abuse of official at 11:03 [Sam Holiday retained the RCW Heavyweight Title] **this was Vampiro's return bout after dropping the title to Holiday in a iron man match last month. Vamp controlled early doing some cheating and taking the bout in and out of the ring. But Holiday took the bout back and slowly exerted his dominance. Finally when it looked like Vampiro should consult a lawyer to sue his legs for non-support, he took the coward's way out dragging referee Buddy Lane in the way of a running clothesline. Vamp nailed Holiday with a low blow when the champ was checking on the ref. He then hit Holiday with the nail in the coffin finisher, covered, but no ref to count. Vamp tried to revive Lane but this allowed Holiday to recover. The champ was taking it to Vamp in the corner with punches when Vamp took him back out with an inverted atomic drop. Lane by now recovered and called for the bell disqualifying Vampiro. As soon as that was announced the former champ just slid out of the ring, jawed with some fans, and left the ring area. Holiday celebrated with his belt as we

Dark Matches before RAGE
Opening Bout Canadian Outlaws: Adam Knight & Darren Dalton defeated Zakk Wylde & Rawhide Kid by pinfall when Dalton pinned Wylde after a powerbomb at 7:52 **unspectacular premiere of the Rawhide Kid
Bout #2 Greg Pawluk defeated Donnie DiCaprio by pinfall after a hotshot at 8:08 **there will be 3 straight matches tonight of the Players Club in singles action. So far they are 0-1.
Bout #3 Al Hardamann defeated Will Damon by pinfall after the vertebreaker at 4:35 **very fast match and the PC are 0-2.
Bout #4 Chris Parys defeated Shane Madison by disqualification for outside interference at 6:57 **Madison controlled early but Parys managed to stay alive. Then when it looked like Parys was turning things around Damon and DiCaprio hit the ring to attack and attacked Parys. They encouraged Madison to join in but he looked pissed off at the rest of the Players Club for causing him the loss. Al Hardamann returned to the ring grabbing a steel chair on the way and cleared the ring. Walking away from the ring Madison was keeping his distance from Damon and DiCaprio and shaking his head.
Bout #5 Tiger Khan & Lord Zoltan defeated Matt Fairlane & Ryan Price by pinfall when Khan pinned Price after a Tiger Driver at 9:01 **This was supposed to be Manny Silva and Khan but when Silva no-showed, Greg Gagne made Zoltan step in for his man. Zoltan is not exactly Bruno Sammartino but he can hold his own against second tier guys like Fairlane and Price; and Khan looked really strong.
RCW RAGE - One Hour Episode
Highlights of the dark matches from earlier tonight.
Bout #6 RCW Television Title Match Stan Baker defeated Eddie Mustang by pinfall after a heart punch at 4:24 [Stan Baker retained the RCW Television Title] **Last time these two faced off it was non-title and Baker only cared about hurting Mustang and sending a message to Wavell Starr. After last week Starr is set for another title shot but Baker offered one instead to Mustang (something Starr could not turn down for his friend). This time Baker was all business, and although Mustang controlled the first minute, Baker slapped his weak dropkick attempt aside and then poured on the power for the rest of the short bout.
Promo: Vincent Regliatti comes to the ring and calls out Vic Gate. He thanks him for the offer and has decided to accept it. He will train again with Gate but only on the condition that he can continue to wrestle at the same time. Gate agrees and the two shake hands.
Bout #7 Fatal Five Way Elimination Match - #1 Contenders Match Jessica Judd defeated Nicole Bass, Stacey Lynn, Chris Lydon, and Christi Wolf at 13:12 **Lynn and Lydon formed a team together but they were in tough against powerhouses Wolf and Bass. [Nicole Bass eliminated by pinfall by Wolf after an underhook suplex at 6:02] [Chris Lydon eliminated by pinfall by Judd after a swinging neckbreaker at 7:29] [Stacey Lynn eliminated by pinfall by Wolf after a sidewalk slam at 9:37] **the final two are Judd and Wolf. Judd took quite a beating but managed to stay alive. Wolf took the action outside and after throwing Judd across the announce table the country girl ~waffled~ Wolf with her guitar. Referee Jennifer Greaves let the guitar shot go since she had allowed Wolf liberties outside the ring as well. Judd rolled Wolf back inside the ring and nailed her swinging neckbreaker finisher to pick up the win (quite a feat according to Linley Tolbert as Wolf doesn't really look like she has a neck). [Christi Wolf eliminated by pinfall by Judd after a swinging neckbreaker at 13:12]
Video Tribute to The Crusher, Reggie Lisowski, the man who made Milwaukee famous.
Main Event RCW Tag Team Title Match Giant Balls: Kurrgan & Balls Mahoney defeated Spinebusters: Jerry Orth & Bryan Caruthers by pinfall when Kurrgan pinned Orth after a tombstone piledriver at 8:26 [Giant Balls retained the RCW Tag Team Titles] **the guaranteed return bout for former champion Spinebusters. It was a fairly even match but you never really had the feeling the titles were in jeopardy.
