Dark Matches before Rage
Opening Bout
Lodi defeated El Sphincter Bungholio by pinfall after a running legdrop at 5:54
**Lodi had a bit of trouble with the size of his opponent, but this was a glorified squash match
Bout #2
Eric Scott defeated Stan Saxon by pinfall after a flapjack at 7:12
**Saxon is a veteran now, and had his moments, but Scott is just better.
Bout #3
The Spinebusters: Jerry Orth & Bryan Caruthers defeated Tony Gold & Darren Dalton by pinfall when Caruthers pinned Gold after a spinebuster slam at 8:27
**another glorified squash match.
Post-Match: The Spinebusters cut a promo on the Road Warriors saying that Tony Twist should have been arrested, he had no business being in the ring, he was just a fan. He should be doing the two step with Big Bubba in the Headingly Jail right now. The 'Busters promise "all their little busters out there" that they will beat the Roadies and take the titles.
Bout #4
North American Women's Title Match
TrummerFrauen defeated Strawberry Fields and Becky Hennig by pinfall when she pinned Fields after a running powerslam at 6:01
[TrummerFrauen retained the North American Women's Title]
**this was a return bout of sorts after TF beat Fields for the belt last week. Having beat both these other ladies last week in separate matches it was slightly more of a challenge to beat them both at the same time. The challengers did alright early by concentrating on teaming up on the women's champ. But as soon as this fell apart so did their chances.
RCW RAGE - One Hour Episode
Highlights of the first four dark matches of the night are shown.
Bout #5
Jessica Judd defeated Sheona Stewart by pinfall after the shake, rattle, and roll at 4:58
**A premiere of JJ in RCW, she was most famous from her appearances in Violent Championship Wrestling. JJ is a short, squat, country looking girl with a wholesome image. She borrowed her finisher from Honky Tonk Man, and yes she brought a guitar with her down to the ring. Hard to know whether to take her serious as she had limited success in VCW, but looked impressive tonight.
Post-Match interview with Joe Aiello, where Jessica Judd gives the typical, I came here to win the belt, this is where the competition is speech, nothing new here. However Aiello also tells us that next week we will have another woman premiere in RCW, as ladies are coming from all over to try and take the crown from the monstrous TrummerFrauen. Next week we will have a cousin of Trish Stratus, her name is Larissa Stratus and he is incredibly fit just like her cousin.
Award Ceremony - Manager of the Decade (1990's) - Nick Bockwinkel
This one was a no-brainer, as Bock is a RCW Hall of Famer, and won the Manager of the Year 5 times in the 90's. A highlight package is shown of Bock as a wrestler, manager, and commissioner. However, Bockwinkel is not on hand to accept the award, but did send a video greeting.
Bout #6
Johnny Devine & Greg Pawluk defeated Moses Luke & Barry Darsow by pinfall when Pawluk pinned Darsow after a top rope headscissor takedown at 8:09
**Luke still looked very good, and Darsow was fine, but they had no chemistry as a team while Devine and Pawluk have been teaming for over a year (previously in Stampede).
Promo Video: We see the Road Warriors in a grungy Chicago gym training Tony Twist. The three of them say that they want vengeance for last week. They tell the Spinebusters to sign Cowboy Bob Orton out again from the old folks home, and next week they'll retire him and the busters for good. At the end of the video Twist see's a guy working out in a Chicago Blackhawks t-shirt, so he walks over, slaps him in the head, and then takes him over with a snap suplex.
Televised Main Event
Hardcore Match
Vampiro defeated Balls Mahoney by pinfall after the nail in the coffin at 10:32
**the first half of this bout, while rough, actually showcased that both men can truly wrestle, even chain wrestle. However, the last half was brutal and spent more time outside the ring then inside. The biggest factor in the bout was that Vamp busted Balls open, and you could see him gradually weaken. In the end Vamp speared him through a table set up in the corner of the ring, and then nailed his finisher to win.
Post-Match: Vampiro tells champion Nick Mercury that he will be the next victim.
Vignette: This is very unusual for RCW to end with a promo. We see a "Welcome to the city of Thunder Bay" highway sign fly past, darkness, then we have home video style footage including Nick Mercury setting up his video camera in what apparently is a high school classroom.
Nick Mercury>>>Hello, River City Wrestling fans. Today I have a special treat for you, as I am live in Vampiro's hometown, where he grew up, Thunder Bay Ontario, Canada. It's a beautiful little city, located on the banks of Lake Superior. Of course when Vamp was growing up here he was known by his real name..Ian..umm..Ian Hodgke...Hodgkinnn....Hodginksssonnnn. Can we just call him little Ian? I am here with Ian's high school teacher Mrs. Spinster. [Mrs. Spinster is sitting across the desk from Mercury. She looks like a stereotypical teacher, almost too stereotypical, and looks to be in her late 60's?]. Now Mrs. Spinster, can you tell us a little bit about what Ian was like as a child?
Mrs. Spinster>>>>Certainly, Nicholas, but please dear sit up...my word..your posture! Now Ian, was a handful to say the least, a bit of the devil in that child. But he had it hard, so many of the young children from around here face challenges of broken homes and substance abuse. I'm not sure the extent of Ian's problems but he was very anti-social. I understand he was quite the good hockey player..a goaltender though..and well, goalies too have a certain reputation as, well they tend to be a queer lot.
Mercury>>>I'm sorry Mrs. Spinster, we don't say derogatory things like queer anymore...
Spinster>>>Oh dear, I'm sorry, I'm just an old British lady. I meant queer as in different than the other children. Poor Ian didn't have many friends, and had no self confidence, he struggled in school but was always diligent and a pleaser. You know, I think poor Ian actually had a bit of a crush on me...
Mercury>>>Oh really? So he liked the older ladies then?
Spinster>>>well, heavens, I don't think girls his age gave him the time of day, he seemed to prefer more mature conversation. Now, I was 15 years younger, so a spry mid 50's, and I never did marry, so I admit to being flattered by a young man's attention...
Mercury>>>oh really?...
Spinster>>>of course nothing ever happened, it was just some harmless flirting, but then again there was Mrs. Dahlberg, the History teacher. Now there were rumors about Ian and Louise Dahlberg..
Mercury>>>please tell!!
Spinster>>oh I couldn't...that wouldn't be proper..oh well, I guess it was just some harmless fun. Well see Mrs. Dahlberg was always complaining about her husband, you know, not doing his husbandly duties...and well..let's see...she was about 5 years my senior, so at that time I guess she would have been around 60. Anyway, if little Ian flirted a little with me, well he was full press on Louise. There were rumors of course, of an illicit love affair, but nothing was ever proven. We didn't talk openly about those things back then.
Mercury>>>Thanks so much for spending time with us today Mrs. Spinster. Ian's fans really appreciate it. You would be pleased at the fine upstanding citizen that Ian has become.
Spinster>>>You are very welcome. Can you tell me though what Ian is up to these days?
Mercury>>>Sure. He wears face make up to work every day, and a costume...
Spinster>>ohhhh, is he a clown?
Mercury>>>he sure is Mrs. Spinster, he sure is one funny clown.

Main Event
Six-Man Tag Match
Sam Holiday, Al Hardamann, & Marcus Schultz defeated Stan Baker, Manny Silva, & Kurrgan (/w Lord Zoltan) by pinfall when Schultz pinned Baker after a Northern lights suplex bridge at 16:39
**solid match, if not a bit predictable, with each man getting a chance to shine, and each taking a turn playing Ricky Morton. In the end with the other four men brawling outside the ring, Schultz blocked a heart punch from the TV champ, nailed a German suplex, then followed up with the finisher.
